Xing Cheng’s left cheek was burning with pain.
The young doctor used all his strength in that punch; if it had been a fraction off, it could have broken his nose.
Lu Dangui’s fist didn’t leave any bruises on Xing Cheng’s face, only a dark red mark.
Xing Cheng’s skin was already fair, and since he had just been discharged from the hospital and his body had not fully recovered, his face was completely bloodless, making the red mark particularly noticeable.
Xing Cheng pursed his lips tightly and remained silent.
“It’s you…”
Seeing that the person in front of him remained silent for a long time, Lu Dangui finally couldn’t help but raise his voice: “Xing Cheng, the reason my sister is in a wheelchair is all because of you!”
The young doctor grabbed Xing Cheng by the collar, causing him to lose his balance and fall backward, his back slamming hard against the car door behind him.
His pale, thin lips twitched slightly: “…Because of me?”
The hand gripping his collar tightened even more, and the owner of the hand was trembling uncontrollably.
Xing Cheng slightly raised his eyes, looking at Lu Dangui, who was very close to him.
The young doctor had gotten angry, and this time he was serious.
“I don’t know your sister.”
After a long pause, Lu Dangui heard Xing Cheng speak in a deep voice: “It’s possible I’ve seen her before, but I don’t remember her.”
Xing Cheng’s face remained expressionless, and he didn’t even offer a word of explanation.
Despite being questioned so aggressively by the young doctor, he remained calm and composed.
Because he wasn’t lying; he was simply stating the facts.
In Lu Dangui’s eyes, Xing Cheng’s answer could only be described in four words— indifference.
I don’t know her, I have no recollection of her.
In just two short sentences, Lu Wenfei’s importance in this person’s heart was fully captured.
For the past eight years, like millions of other fans, his sister had always been quietly supporting this person from behind.
She divided her little world in two, one half being her brother and the other half being Xing Cheng.
These were the two most important people in her life, and she wanted to protect them.
He had complained about his sister several times before, asking her what was so great about that person with the surname Xing. He was emotionally unintelligent, rude, and acted selfishly; judging from the constant stream of negative information about him online, he was a very annoying person.
Lu Wenfei stammered for a long time, unable to find a reason to retort. She could only retort to her brother that anyone would fall in love with Xing Cheng if they knew him well enough.
He now believed that he knew Xing Cheng well enough.
Everyone would like him?
Fart!
This person was not only mentally ill, but also had no conscience and was a complete scoundrel living in his own world!
Staring fiercely at the cold face so close to his, Lu Dangui really wanted to strike again with a heavy blow.
The interior space of the car was already cramped, and with the windows tightly closed, the air inside didn’t circulate.
The two people sitting in the carriage, one was breathing too much due to anger, and the other had his collar tightly gripped, making it difficult for him to breathe, his chest rising and falling with his breath.
Looking at Xing Cheng’s nonchalant expression, Lu Dangui suddenly felt somewhat discouraged.
He forgot that this person suffered from severe alexithymia, and that relentless questioning was pointless.
Besides, if he really cornered Xing Cheng in the car and beat him up today, the tall guy behind him would probably sever his Achilles tendon.
After struggling in his mind for a long time, Lu Dangui slowly loosened Xing Cheng’s collar.
Since violence wouldn’t work, he could only try to reason with the man and see if he could break his heart of stone.
“I’ll only say this once, so listen carefully.” Taking a deep breath, Lu Dangui patiently began, “Do you remember, three years ago—”
A blinding headlight suddenly shone in through the rear window. Stimulated by the bright light, Lu Dangui instinctively raised his hand to shield his eyes.
In the brief moment he was lost in thought, Xing Cheng had already sat up in front of the car door, squinting at the source of the light.
Xing Shi was not waiting outside the car; no one knew where he went.
Under normal circumstances, as his personal bodyguard, Xing Shi would stay by his side 24 hours a day and would never leave his master alone in one place.
Unless–
Thinking of this, a deep, unfathomable look flashed across Xing Cheng’s eyes.
This was exactly what he wanted.
What was bound to happen had finally happened.
Noticing that Xing Cheng’s expression was somewhat gloomy, Lu Dangui was about to ask a question when Xing Cheng reached out and grabbed his right wrist.
He grabbed the young doctor with one hand, put his injured other hand behind his back, and rolled down the car window halfway.
As the car window slowly rolled down, Xing Cheng increased his strength and forcibly pulled the young doctor towards him.
Caught off guard by Xing Cheng’s sudden grab, Lu Dangui hadn’t even had time to react before he fell forward into Xing Cheng’s arms.
“Xing Cheng, you mother**ker—”
Xing Cheng pulled his hair back from his forehead, forcing Lu Dangui to raise his chin and begin to struggle desperately against Xing Cheng’s chest.
What’s wrong with this person now?!
Just a moment ago he had a deadpan expression, devoid of any desires, but suddenly he’s acting like he’s been injected with adrenaline and is going crazy again.
The little doctor in his arms kept trying to break free, but Xing Cheng didn’t let go.
He brushed aside the stray hairs on the young doctor’s forehead, forcefully pulling the soft strands back to reveal the doctor’s smooth forehead.
The young doctor’s eyes were filled with anger, as if he wanted to poke a hole in him with his gaze.
Lu Dangui assumed Xing Cheng was retaliating for the punch he had thrown earlier, and kept cursing under his breath, completely unaware that something was amiss around him.
Holding the grimacing young doctor tightly in his arms, Xing Cheng restrained the person in his arms from trying to sneak up on his leg while listening intently to the sounds outside the window.
At the nearby intersection, several people got out of a van with its lights flashing. The license plate was not visible in the darkness, but it was certain that it did not belong to the Bayview Group.
With one hand already unable to control the rabbit biting indiscriminately, Xing Cheng, disregarding the burns on his palm, stretched out his bandaged hand and swiftly and precisely grabbed Lu Dangui by the back of the neck.
“Dr. Lu, could you please cooperate?”
His tone was no longer as cold as usual, but rather carried a light and gentle quality, as if he were coaxing a restless child.
However, the rabbit in her arms was not willing to cooperate. In order to escape his control, it not only bristled but also tried every means to bite her back.
The group of people were already heading towards the car.
Xing Cheng narrowed his eyes slightly.
Ten seconds left.
Five seconds.
Three, two—
“Xing Cheng, are you really sick?! Release it right now—”
He turned his head and silenced the young doctor’s cursing mouth with his cold lips.
“!!!”
Leaning against the back seat of the car, Lu Dangui froze for a second.
In that brief second, Xing Cheng turned around and leaned down again, pressing Lu Dangui firmly against the back of the seat.
Before the bristling rabbit could launch a physical attack on him, he had already gently teased the little doctor’s soft lips, and then continued to penetrate, prying open the little doctor’s teeth.
Staring at the face so close to his, Lu Dangui slowly widened his eyes.
It wasn’t just because of Xing Cheng’s crazy actions, but because he heard the roar of an engine in the air.
The roar was getting closer and closer to their car, almost shattering his eardrums.
Through the car window, Lu Dangui could only vaguely see the scene outside the car.
A car slowly drove across the road on the opposite side. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw someone carrying a zoom lens, pointing it in their direction, right across the road, near the bus stop.
He reached out and pushed the person on top of him, letting out a muffled groan from deep in his throat.
Lu Dangui actually wanted to remind Xing Cheng that something seemed amiss outside.
Unexpectedly, upon hearing his voice, he tightened his grip on his hand even more.
Noticing the person in his arms begin to struggle again, Xing Cheng raised his chin and looked out the window, a smile playing on his lips in the dim light of the carriage.
Their lips parted briefly. He leaned down again, licking and kissing his way up the young doctor’s long neck until he sealed the doctor’s lips with his own once more.

Amidst the blinding flash of the camera, the sound of shutters being pressed repeatedly could be heard in the distance.
Blood had seeped from the bandaged wound again, and a faint smell of blood filled the air. Xing Cheng used the bandaged hand to cover the young doctor’s eyes.
The sound of the car engine gradually faded into the distance, and the group of people across the street got into their car and drove away. They came silently and left just as quietly.
The group of people didn’t approach them; they simply hid across the street and took one set of photos after another.
Darkness enveloped him, and Lu Dangui could hear his own heart pounding.
What exactly happened? And what about Xing Cheng…?
He clearly saw people taking pictures in their direction, so why didn’t he go out and stop them?
The question had barely formed in his mind when Lu Dangui was pulled back to reality once again.
As soon as the group left, Xing Cheng immediately stopped all his movements.
After a long kiss, he released Lu Dangui’s hands and leaned back heavily in the car seat, as if he were completely exhausted.
The moment he let go, the young doctor’s fist swung towards his face again, but he managed to stop it halfway.
Both arms were raised again and pressed behind her head. Lu Dangui gasped for breath and glared at the person in front of him: “…Let me go.”
Xing Cheng didn’t move.
In the darkness, their foreheads touched, their breaths mingling in the cramped carriage.
Lu Dangui couldn’t help but curse: “Damn, you’re crazy.”
He had completely lost his strength in the previous fight with this man. He tried to struggle a few times in Xing Cheng’s hands, but found that he was no match for the man in front of him.
This man, who appeared to have just recovered from a serious illness, actually possessesed terrifying explosive power.
After being muttered a curse at by the young doctor, Xing Cheng slowly laughed: “You’re only just realizing I’m crazy?”
The blood seeping from the gauze was becoming increasingly viscous, adding to the pungent smell. He frowned and simply moved his injured hand up a bit, no longer pressing it tightly against Lu Dangui’s wrist.
The young doctor washed his white coat spotlessly every day; he was probably a bit of a clean freak.
He bit the young doctor’s lip, licking the blood from between his lips, but didn’t want to see him get his lips stained with blood.
Who were those people just now?
Lu Dangui was too overbearing and didn’t look at him.
“My fiancée’s people.” Xing Cheng said casually.
He didn’t want to explain too much to the young doctor.
As Xing Jingshan’s only adopted daughter, Lin Xiangni acted with complete recklessness. This time, she probably couldn’t sit still even before getting Xing Jingshan’s permission.
Lu Dangui sneered.
He was just upstairs talking about going on a blind date next week, and now he even had a fiancée. Will he tell me that he actually has two illegitimate children next?
As expected, nothing good comes out of a dog’s mouth; not a single word this person says is true.
Xing Cheng made no response to Lu Dangui’s disdainful expression.
