The drive was a bit long this time. Si Huang didn’t ask Qin Fan where they were going, but after asking about the time, she was told it would take several hours.

“I’ll sleep for a while, wake me up when we get there,” Si Huang said, preparing to lean back in her seat to sleep.

Qin Fan reminded her, “Go sleep in the back seat, I just bought some clothes to cover yourself with.”

Si Huang thought for a moment, then unbuckled her seatbelt and climbed into the back seat.

Qin Fan watched her agile figure, his gaze lingering meaningfully on her waist.

His gaze was a little intense. When Si Huang looked back, the man had already turned his attention back to driving.

After tossing down the two shopping bags, Si Huang took out Qin Fan’s clothes to cover her stomach and closed her eyes to sleep in the back.

Si Huang didn’t sleep very well on the way, as the car wasn’t a dedicated van, and the space was limited for someone her height of 1.77 meters.

“We’re here.” When the man’s voice rang in her ears, Si Huang immediately opened her eyes.

Looking out the window, they saw a foreign man in a professional waiter’s uniform approaching with an umbrella, opening the car door for them and ushering them into the entrance of a high-end hotel.

“Bring up the things inside,” Qin Fan instructed the waiter in English.

“Yes, sir.”

From the entrance to their room, Si Huang kept an eye on the journey, her memory of the hotel gradually forming in her mind.

The Hotel Silica, located in the southeast, was a renowned six-star hotel in Rome. Its decor wasn’t overly luxurious, but rather focused on unique features.

Its most famous and expensive room was the semi-transparent stargazing room, where one could see the boundless night sky and the sunrise the next day.

Even after being led to such a room, Si Huang’s surprise hadn’t subsided; she hadn’t expected Qin Fan to actually do something romantic.

Several hours had passed since they were picked up from the airport, and it was already dark. Half of their room was glass; when Si Huang went over and drew back the curtains, she could see raindrops falling on the glass, sliding down like beads.

The doorbell rang, and a waiter brought in their shopping bags with a warm smile. “Have a pleasant evening.”

This enthusiasm was probably related to the high price they had paid when booking the hotel online.

Qin Fan unpacked his things and turned to see Si Huang standing by the window. Even in the rain, she seemed enveloped in a soft, hazy light, which made his heart flutter.

“Go take a shower first,” he said, drawing Si Huang’s attention back.

“No, we still have dinner to eat later,” Si Huang said, walking towards him.

Qin Fan asked, “Then shall we cook together?”

Si Huang glanced at him. “Okay.”

With Qin Fan’s cooking skills, if he cooked alone, even the most loving meal probably wouldn’t taste good.

Qin Fan was both amused and exasperated by her gaze. As she approached, he playfully ruffled her hair with his large hand and said in a deep voice, “You can just wash the vegetables.”

Si Huang opened her mouth, but before she could speak, Qin Fan glared at her, silencing her. She shrugged helplessly, “Okay.”

In fact, the meal wasn’t as unacceptable as Si Huang had imagined, because Qin Fan hadn’t cooked any stir-fries or rice; instead, he had made a hot pot indoors.

He put in the broth ingredients he bought from the supermarket, followed by plates of sliced meat and vegetables that Si Huang had washed. It was clear that Qin Fan’s cooking skills wouldn’t be affected; the taste wasn’t particularly delicious, but it certainly wasn’t bad either.

Once the hot pot was on the table, Qin Fan placed a can of beer in front of Si Huang, while he himself had a bottle of baijiu (Chinese liquor) in front of him.

“Hahahaha.” Si Huang sat down at the table, laughing uncontrollably. “In the stargazing room in Xileka, on a rainy day with dark clouds, eating hot pot and drinking beer, your romance is truly unique.”

Qin Fan was infected by her radiant smile, and the corners of his mouth also turned up. “I only want to do everything with you, things I won’t do with anyone else.”

Si Huang’s laughter stopped, and she stared blankly at Qin Fan’s smiling face.

Perhaps because they were the only two people in the room, the lighting was just right, dim, and the steam from the hot pot made their vision blurry, unconsciously making them relax.

At this moment, Qin Fan was much more approachable than usual, and his whole demeanor was unexpectedly peaceful, making this aloof, emperor-like man seem to have stepped down from his pedestal, becoming approachable and heartwarming.

A simple sentence, yet it moved Si Huang more than any love words.

“Is this what you consider romance?” Si Huang asked softly.

“Do you think it’s romantic?” Qin Fan countered, tossing Si Huang’s favorite dishes into the pot. He raised his dark eyes to stare at Si Huang, then muttered to himself, “It probably isn’t romantic.”

Si Huang didn’t answer.

Qin Fan continued, “My first thought was that you might get sick from being in the rain. Only after you can eat and sleep well did I think about how to make you feel romantic.”

A hint of helplessness flashed in the man’s eyes at the mention of romance.

For a soldier who never considered such things, asking him to do it in such a short time was really difficult.

“Let’s make do for now,” the man said domineeringly, “Eat.”

“Ha.” Si Huang laughed again, opened a can of beer, raised it to Qin Fan, and smiled with narrowed eyes, “It’s certainly not romantic, but I like it.”

The first sentence made Qin Fan’s face darken, but the next sentence revived his mood. He looked at Si Huang’s smiling face, finding it incredibly alluring and appetizing.

Although it wasn’t his usual appetite, Qin Fan still managed to suppress his hunger and began to eat heartily.

The hot pot broth was a bit spicy, and by the end, both of their lips were bright red. Si Huang, in a good mood, drank a little more wine and started arguing with Qin Fan, which he couldn’t stop.

By the time they finished eating, the heavy rain had outside gradually subsided into a light drizzle.

“Go get me a bathrobe,” Si Huang ordered Qin Fan, sitting in her chair like a lord.

Qin Fan stared at her spicy red lips, then his gaze shifted to her fair cheeks, red with a flush he couldn’t tell if from drunkenness or the smell of alcohol. He then said in a hoarse voice, “The bathrobe is in the bathroom.”

Si Huang kicked the chair he was sitting in. “Just go get it.”

“…” Qin Fan’s bottom line had been repeatedly lowered without his notice, and he got up and did as she said without much hesitation.

When the enslaved Qin Fan returned with the bathrobe, he found that the little emperor was no longer in his seat.

He looked around, almost calling out Si Huang’s name, when suddenly his eyes caught a scene that made his heart pound and his body feel like it was on fire.

Outside the glass, on the edge of the private swimming pool in the misty rain, a slender figure stood with her back to him, taking off her clothes. Her beautiful body lines were as lovely as a fairy in the rain.

Qin Fan’s hand, gripping the bathrobe, tightened suddenly, his throat had gone dry, and he swallowed involuntarily.

Si Huang, separated by a pane of glass, turned her head and happened to see his expression, a smile playing on her lips.

That smile was practically testing the limits of Qin Fan’s rationality, stretching it taut as if it were about to snap.

Before Qin Fan could look any longer, Si Huang had already jumped into the pool.

Qin Fan waited a few seconds until she didn’t surface, then when his breathing had almost calmed down, he opened the glass door and stepping out.

“Si Huang?” he asked, standing by the pool.

With a splash, Si Huang emerged from the water, casually brushing her short silver hair back. Her face, glistening with water droplets, appeared even whiter and more alluring. That smile was practically tempting, or perhaps it was trying to passively entice her to commit a crime against him.

“Come on up, you’re going into cold water right after eating…”

“You’re getting more and more long-winded.”

Qin Fan’s face darkened when he was interrupted. He reached out to pull Si Huang up, but Si Huang nimbly dodged him in the water and asked him, “Want to come down and join me?”

“…” Qin Fan didn’t move.

Standing on the shore was enough to challenge his rationality; if he really went down, even he himself wasn’t sure if he could control himself in front of this devilish beauty.

Si Huang didn’t try to persuade him further. Instead she sank back into the water. The low temperature of the water didn’t make her feel cold; instead, it slowly dissipated the effects of the alcohol.

[Your Majesty! Hehe, the sun’s eyes are practically spitting fire! He’s clearly just shy, why don’t Your Majesty pull him down and just do it!] Five Treasure, in his hamster form, crawled through the water, wanting to swim with Si Huang, but unfortunately, he was powerless and still offered this wicked suggestion.

Si Huang felt that she had had a good evening and had no interest in breaking this warm atmosphere. She also enjoyed the peace of mind that Qin Fan brought, so she didn’t accept Five Treasure’s suggestion.

After swimming for a while, she sank to the bottom, hugging her knees, and looked at the surface of the water. Her eyes then became clearer and clearer. “Five Treasure, will the second body enhancement clarify my bloodline problem?”

[Huh?] Five Treasure hadn’t expected her to ask this suddenly. After a couple of seconds, it replied, “If Your Majesty wishes, you can focus on enhancing that special bloodline. However, the result of such enhancement is uncertain. It might waste a lot of gold glitter and yield nothing.”

In Five Treasures’ opinion, this gamble was not worthwhile. If it really yielded nothing, it would be a huge loss. “Your Majesty’s bloodline ability doesn’t have a significant effect on body enhancement.”

After several enhancements, Five Treasure could observe this, so it advised Si Huang not to choose this option.

However, since Si Huang asked, it meant she had this intention.

“Si Huang, come out!”

Qin Fan’s voice suddenly came from above.

Si Huang heard a hint of urgency in his tone and realized she had been underwater for quite a while.

With a push of her feet, she easily emerged from the water. A dark shadow flashed before her eyes, and she was grabbed by someone who had been waiting for this, dragged ashore alive.

“Like a fish, if you dare to slip away again, I’ll take you back and cook you.” Qin Fan wrapped her in the bathrobe, then carried her away, threateningly saying in a cold voice.

The man’s hard shoulders pressed uncomfortably against her stomach. So Si Huang said speechlessly, “Put me down.”

Qin Fan was silent for two seconds, then changed her position to a princess carry. He glanced at the person in his arms, then looked down again.

Si Huang stared at the man’s resolute chin and pursed lips, her austere and restrained expression turning into a smile.

Once inside the room, Qin Fan tossed her onto the sofa. “Sit and wait for me.”
