The development of a drama needs the protagonist’s drive. If the protagonist dies, how can the drama continue? Therefore, Lei Qie’s death must be broken.

The silver-haired young priest was halfway to the inner hall, his fingers already lifting the tassel curtain leading into the inner hall, when he suddenly stopped. He then turned back to look at Lei Qie lying in the blood, a slight glint flashing in his eyes, “What a lucky guy.”

Why did he say that?

“Cut—”

Xiao Jin’s voice ended the filming of this scene.

Lei Qie’s assistant immediately went to the set and carefully pulled the ‘longsword’ out of Lei Qie’s body.

This prop longsword was set with a mechanism; as long as it was pressed when it was stabbed, the blade could easily retract, making it look as if the entire sword had pierced the human body.

However, even knowing that the sword had this function, many people were still frightened by Si Huang’s swift movements, fearing that Lei Qie had actually been stabbed.

Lei Qie on the ground said, “No need,” pushed his assistant aside, and got up by himself.

“Want some mercurochrome[1]?” Finn walked over, waving the wound ointment in his hand and grinning. “You’ve finally met your match.”

Lei Qie knew what he meant. Just yesterday, he had beaten up the extras until they were screaming, leaving them speechless and covered in wound ointment. Today, he received the same treatment. It really felt like karma.

Pulling up his sleeves, he saw large, dark purple welts on Lei Qie’s arms where Si Huang had kicked him.

Finn was startled. “So serious?”

“Tsk, it’s not broken.” Lei Qie didn’t seem to care much.

Finn put away the medicine bottle. “Looks like you won’t need this medicine. Have someone get something else.”

Xiao Jin also noticed the situation and came over to ask him, “Do you want to rest?”

This question reminded Lei Qie of when he first met Si Huang. The thought had just crossed his mind when he turned around and saw Si Huang had already left the set and was talking to his manager.

Perhaps noticing Lei Qie’s undeniable gaze, Si Huang also turned to look in their direction. When their eyes met, he gave a faint smile.

Lei Qie’s impression of him was still that of a decisive and mysterious bishop; who would have thought he’d receive such a gentle, subtle smile? The contrast left him momentarily stunned.

“Aren’t you going to explain?” Yu Xi asked Si Huang.

Si Huang chuckled, “Explain what?”

Yu Xi said, “Even if it was intentional, it would be better to say something.”

He was too lazy to advise Si Huang to be more careful; after all, he was more discreet and serious about acting than he was and wouldn’t really mess things up because of his emotions.

“That’s true.” Si Huang walked towards Lei Qie and the others.

In just a few minutes, they were in front of the two. Si Huang glanced at Lei Qie’s exposed arm first. “Sorry, but during filming, I noticed you were really going to hit me. If I didn’t use a little force, I would be the one who got hurt.”

“Just… a little… force?” Lei Qie snapped out of his daze, and hearing this, he felt an itch in his back teeth.

Si Huang realized he seemed to be focusing on the wrong thing and shrugged with amusement. “Okay, I used all my strength.”

“That’s more like it.” Lei Qie pouted, giving her a “you can’t fool me” look. He then shook his hand and turned his head towards Xiao Jin. “What’s this little injury? No, it’s not even an injury. Keep filming, I’m not some precious guy.”

Even at this point, he still wanted to show off his verbal skills, but he didn’t name names again, showing that this lesson had been effective.

Xiao Jin was both amused and exasperated, and looked at Si Huang, saying, “You don’t have any scenes for now.”

“Not this afternoon either?” Si Huang asked.

Xiao Jin: “What’s up?”

“Um, a few friends are coming here, and I wanted to go pick them up.”

“You’ve only been on set for two days and you already have something to do… Ouch!” Lei Qie was nudged by Xiao Jin’s elbow before he could finish speaking. Ignoring his accusing gaze, Xiao Jin said to Si Huang, “You can arrange your own time outside of your scenes. You don’t need to report to me. Just remember to come to the set on time.”

Si Huang smiled, “Then I’ll be going now.”

Xiao Jin nodded.

Watching Si Huang walk away, Lei Qie said, “Aren’t you being too lenient with him?”

Xiao Jin glanced at him, “Am I different with you? As long as you can film scenes like him and get it right in one take without wasting time and manpower, you can arrange your extra time however you want.”

“…” Lei Qie was about to say that he could do it when Si Huang’s acting skills flashed through his mind again, and he swallowed back his confident words, “I know.”

“Huh?” Xiao Jin looked at him in surprise.

“What are you looking at? Keep filming! Isn’t my current look perfect for the next scene?” Lei Qie turned his head.

Seeing his childish behavior, Xiao Jin chuckled but didn’t show it, lest the kid get angry again. “Then let’s continue.”

*The Fang of Time* was a male-centric film, and since Lei Qie was the male lead, he couldn’t die. So, according to the plot, the next scene to be filmed was Lei Qie waking up in a small house.

It turned out that the scene where he was killed by the silver-haired priest was just a dream. However, the dream felt incredibly real; and even Lei Qie, upon waking, seemed to be bleeding, making him realize that it wasn’t just a dream.

Especially when the soldier knocked on his door, and the minister who was supposed to die entered the room and told him he would take him to see Bishop Mithius… this time, the male lead’s reaction wasn’t excited agreement. Instead, he punched the minister unconscious, took all his valuables, and jumped out the window to escape!

Lei Qie was filming a scene when Si Huang finally tidied herself up. She went outside, briefly greeted the crew members passing by, and then, after saying goodbye to them, headed to the airport with Yu Xi.

Yu Xi drove, while Si Huang sat in the back seat looking at a message on her phone.

The message was from Guo Chengxiong, informing her that several people, including Qin Fan, had arrived in Italy.

If Guo Chengxiong hadn’t cleverly sent a message, she wouldn’t have known that Qin Fan had actually come to Italy on a mission.

He came without telling her— was he trying to surprise her? Or was he genuinely focused on his mission and had no intention of contacting her?

Si Huang felt that Qin Fan wasn’t the type to create surprises, so the latter was more likely. This answer made her a little depressed; a lover with low emotional intelligence could be amusing at times, but sometimes it was also incredibly frustrating.

Yu Xi, driving, didn’t think so. He assumed Qin Fan had come specifically for Si Huang, thinking: “This Mr. Qin’s possessiveness and controlling nature are too strong. Doesn’t he have anything better to do every day?” Why does he always try to get close to Si Huang?

The journey to the airport was still long, so Si Huang used her tablet to browse domestic websites and check out the latest entertainment news.

However, all the news she opened was about herself.

Her name was everywhere in the overwhelming entertainment news. The afterglow of 《Red Moon》 hadn’t faded yet, and 《Infinite Collapse》 added fuel to the fire. Together, they had dominated television and the internet for four days. Given the recording schedule of 《Infinite Collapse》, it was estimated to air for another two days. Therefore, saying Si Huang was dominating the screen was no exaggeration. Currently, as long as you turned on the TV or the internet, you were guaranteed to see Si Huang.

Leaving aside the awards ceremony, there was no news yet, but some online analysts were already predicting that Si Huang’s name would definitely be there, possibly dominating the screens for half a month.

Such popularity and exposure would make her peers green with envy and would only fuel the fervor of her fans. See? This is our beloved Emperor! So incredibly cool, handsome, and powerful, he has the looks but doesn’t rely on his appearance, conquering the world with his talent and ability! Thinking about how outstanding our idol is makes us feel even more awesome!

Watching domestic videos from abroad was slow, but according to reports, the second game segment of “Infinite Collapse 3rd,” the one where she goes to the ancient town in the capital to earn money, had already aired in China.

Si Huang was confident in her performance and the post-production of “Infinite Collapse 3rd,” so she switched the page elsewhere. A local news item caught her attention:

Strange phenomenon discovered in the Mediterranean?

Locals suspect underwater treasure?

Ninety percent of netizens expressed skepticism about this news, mocking the editor for being immature, childlike, and having an overactive imagination; otherwise, they wouldn’t have turned a serious news story into a fairy tale.

Si Huang, however, was engrossed in the editor’s data and analysis. She didn’t know how much time had passed when the car suddenly stopped. Yu Xi in the front said, “Si Huang, we’ve arrived.”

“Mm.” Then she put down her tablet, opened the car door, and got out.

Although she wasn’t very famous abroad, her silver hair was incredibly eye-catching. Combined with her slender figure and outstanding temperament, she was like a spotlight, drawing attention.

Therefore, Dou Wenqing, who had just stepped out of the waiting area, spotted her immediately.

The moment his gaze, sharp as a blade touched by frost, fell upon her, Si Huang instinctively turned her head in the direction of his gaze.

“…”

What was Dou Wenqing doing here?

Noticing his fixed gaze, Si Huang felt an urge to facepalm.

Among the people she didn’t want to see recently, Dou Wenqing was definitely on the list.

After all, their last meeting ended rather unpleasantly, and later… with the takeout delivery and the phone call, given Dou Ershao’s personality, who knows how long he’ll hold onto those memories.

However, unlike Si Huang, Dou Wenqing really wanted to see her!
