Six o’clock in the evening.

Nan Xiangwan crawled onto the floor using both her hands and feet, feeling as if she was about to ascend to immortality any second!

A hand gently grasped her ankle from behind and pulled her back.

Gu Beihuai looked at her with a smile, pulled her into his arms, and held her close.

Nan Xiangwan: “My body is telling me it’s lacking purines.”

The implication was that she wanted to eat lots of meat and fish, or even seafood soup.

Gu Beihuai was reluctant to let go: “I always keep chocolate and jerky at home…”

He shut up before he could finish speaking; the little one didn’t like dried meat.

Nan Xiangwan was so hungry she was dizzy, and all she could think about was a seafood hot pot dinner. Pang Kaiji had chosen a place— Jie Chou’s mother’s hot pot restaurant!

The auntie herself was a gourmet, and she personally selected all the ingredients in the restaurant every day. Every seafood item was large and plump, every abalone was full, and even the claypot rice at the end was sprinkled with large black truffles.

Don’t be fooled by how expensive the meal is; there’s a reason it’s so pricey.

Nan Xiangwan really loved eating there. She went there often and even brought people from the entertainment industry with her. As a result, that hot pot restaurant has almost become a celebrity gathering place, and it’s often booked out.

Gu Beihuai was indeed deeply immersed in it, experiencing a wonderful and satisfying feeling he had never felt before. After indulging for a day, he calmed down and began to feel reluctant to let his little one go hungry.

So the two quickly got dressed and went to the banquet.

Because they were in a hurry, the only clothes they had taken off before going to bed were on the bedside table, so the two of them were still wearing the dresses they had worn to announce their engagement the day before.

Nan Xiangwan was so hungry that her mind was a little foggy when Gu Beihuai appeared at the dinner party, half-embracing and half-carrying her.

The aroma of hot pot wafted through the air, with steam rising from the boiling red or broth pots.

Pang Kaiji smiled broadly, urging everyone to eat as much as they wanted, and all sorts of seafood and meat slices were thrown into the pot.

While enjoying their meal, they turned their heads and caught sight of two people walking in side by side.

A little black dress and a white suit.

The clean and simple color scheme clashed with the lively atmosphere of a hot pot restaurant, making it seem more like a red carpet event than a hot pot restaurant.

Pang Kaiji was still in a wheelchair, looking somewhat dazed: “You two came here dressed like that to eat hot pot?”

It’s just a private gathering, why be so formal?

Gu Beihuai remained expressionless, adhering to the principle that as long as he wasn’t embarrassed, it was others who would be embarrassed, and helped the little one to a seat.

Nan Xiangwan felt no awkwardness whatsoever; all she could see was the hot pot…

Lan Tianyou ran over halfway through his meal: “Hey! I thought you two weren’t coming! Want some drinks?”

Hua Ying raised his glass from a distance, clearly in a good mood as well.

The huge success of “Starry Night” would bring enormous benefits to all the actors, behind-the-scenes staff, and investors involved.

The most direct benefits for actors were an increase in their status, an expansion of their resources, and a surge in their fame.

Gu Beihuai looked around: “Jie Chou didn’t come to help?”

Lan Tianyou: “Brother Guan is busy with other things, so there’s no one to drink with me.”

Gu Beihuai glanced at the kid, wondering if there was something wrong with his hearing.

After eating half a meal, Nan Xiangwan looked up and asked, “Xiao Dong isn’t here either?”

Xiao Dong never missed such a lively event in the past.

Lan Tianyou: “Brother Guan has been taking on a lot of projects lately, he’s been so busy he barely has time to breathe.”

Nan Xiangwan looked at Gu Beihuai with a puzzled expression.

Gu Beihuai pointed at Lan Tianyou’s head and waved his hand.

Nan Xiangwan suddenly realized that Xiao Lan wasn’t very bright.

Finally, after enjoying the seafood hot pot she had been craving, Nan Xiangwan felt revitalized. After eating most of the food, she began to look forward to the final dish: the black truffle claypot rice.

….

In the days following the release of “Starry Night,” showing schedules remained packed, and tickets were still hard to come by.

Many people were extremely anxious, having waited for several days without being able to snag tickets, and could only watch the movie online to satisfy their cravings.

Just how stunning and beautiful is it?

Other films released at the same time appeared lackluster, and those that specifically made comedies for the Lunar New Year season looked particularly gloomy.

What’s going on with this holiday? Has it all been dominated by domestic sci-fi movies?

Throughout January, the conversation would continue to revolve around science fiction.

….

At Chengdong Entertainment, Huang Xinglu received a phone call and subsequently arranged for the release of a collaborative single between the boy band QWER and the girl group YUIOP.

The boy band and girl group’s single was called “Thriller,” and even the name was riding on the popularity of the movie.

Many people who couldn’t get movie tickets clicked in out of curiosity. Anything with even a hint of science fiction tended to get a lot of buzz lately, let alone this single.

Could it have something to do with the movie?

However, they soon discovered that it had absolutely nothing to do with the movie.

The main sci-fi theme was only reflected in the costumes, and the background could be considered as the starry universe, but the special effects were too poor, obviously not much money was spent.

Instead, it was like a giant screen with videos of the universe and galaxies playing continuously, and nine people standing in front of it dancing.

The song itself was quite good, but when viewed in conjunction with the music video, other elements were particularly striking.

The YUIOP girl group consisted of five members. They wore short skirts and tube tops, and the rest of their bodies were mostly exposed. The tube tops had a stand-up neckline, and they wore small capes over their backs.

The five women flaunted their figures, some flirtatious, some sweet, as they sang.

The QWER boy band, on the other hand, did the opposite, covering themselves up completely with various accessories on their heads, making them very eye-catching and flashy.

The four men moved among the five women like their pets.

The nine-person dance was a bit odd, but after glancing at the lyrics, oh, I get it.

This music video told a short story: the five women of YUIOP were Star Aristocrats with great power.

QWER’s four members were male lovers, and since there was a mismatch between four and five, a disagreement arose, leading to a round of fighting over the prize.

Fans of both groups naturally showed their support, praising their outfits extensively.

But some casual listeners who came in because of the sci-fi theme didn’t quite understand why this single could be labeled as sci-fi.

The comments section was naturally filled with rounds of arguments, with fans arguing that it was just a song and a music video that was only a few minutes long, so how could it be compared to a two-hour movie?

Then I advise passersby not to be too picky!

Amidst the arguments and doubts, and with the added fuel of behind-the-scenes manipulators, this single trended on social media due to its immense popularity.

It stood out conspicuously among the top ten trending topics dominated by science fiction movies.

As a result, more and more passersby were attracted by the song title and clicked in, only to leave before finishing the song.

The first ten seconds of the music video had a 10% completion rate…

The investors behind it don’t care, and neither does Chengdong Entertainment as a whole; achieving such high traffic is already a success.

The resulting superficial hype had long been enough to make capital incredibly wealthy.

At least once the data on likes, shares, and comments was released, along with the click-through rate, everyone would nod in agreement and say that it was very popular.

Both groups benefited from the success and began planning for future exposure.
