In the conference room of Chengdong Entertainment, a group of people sat silently, some frowning, others looking at documents.
Huang Xinglu slammed his fist on the table and asked, “Hurry up, have you found out yet? Is the song ‘Destiny’ just a random composition?”
If so, then Nan Xiangwan, who wrote the lyrics and composed the music, should be the first among them.
The team behind the MV shoot and the entire Destiny Girls group would suffer; Chengdong Entertainment was the obvious choice to destroy them.
The more information one has to look up, the more sweat pours down their forehead.
It’s true!
All the elements appearing in the lyrics were not randomly pieced together, but were all taken from the Seven Mansions of the East in ancient Chinese astronomy.
Because it was so profound, the people couldn’t even understand it, and their heads almost exploded when they flipped through the star chart.
Huang Xinglu rubbed his temples and cursed, “Useless trash! What dynasty does that Dunhuang mural belong to?”
Someone immediately replied, “It seems to be the Northern Wei Dynasty, right?”
Huang Xinglu’s eyes lit up: “Isn’t that line ‘The star in the room chases the moon at dawn’ from a Tang poem?”
He didn’t know the poem until he saw the screen full of comments.
Someone nearby pointed out, “It’s ‘Fang Xing Sui Yue Xiao,’ not ‘Zhui’ (追).”
Huang Xinglu: “Who cares? One is from the Northern Wei Dynasty, and the other is from the Tang Dynasty. The eras don’t match. We’ll use this to create a topic and get them caught up in public opinion! This kind of thing can’t be written randomly!”
Suddenly someone exclaimed, “Look online! A post has gone viral and is trending!”
Huang Xinglu: “What post?”
The man stammered, “My thoughts after watching ‘Star Gate’.”
Huang Xinglu dismissed it: “What the hell! A music video has a review section? It must be a publicity stunt by the team behind Destiny to fool people who don’t know any better.”
Everyone initially thought it was making a mountain out of a molehill, but when they saw it, they were all stunned!
It wasn’t written by the team behind Destiny, but by a netizen named “Bolan Kuangxiao Han Jiutian”. They probably wrote it too quickly and were in a rush, so there are still some typos that haven’t been corrected.
[A Deep Analysis and Reflection on the “Star Gate” Music Video]
“Hello everyone, I am an ordinary college student. I can’t compare to those netizens who talk about quantum mechanics all the time, but after watching the music video of this song, I was deeply moved. I suppose many people don’t understand what this song is about, so I’d like to share my humble opinion.”
“This is actually a time-travel story. An ordinary urban woman opens a star gate and sees a lifetime of Chinese history from ancient times to the present.”
“Don’t rush to refute it, it’s a lifetime!”
“Please look at the positions of these constellations after the star gate [image], and then look at the positions of the constellations at the end of three minutes [image]. Do you see? The positions are changing! They are not static!”
“Of course, when watching the music video, we thought that the stars were rotating just for better visual effects, but that’s not the case. The movement of the entire starry sky background is all real, and the time is exactly five thousand years!”
“The celestial astronomical calculations condense five thousand years of history! The Azure Dragon was in that position five thousand years ago, and it has moved to this position five thousand years later.”
“It is incredible that this real trajectory has been deduced and presented to us.”
“Next, let’s talk about the Dunhuang flying apsaras performed by the Seven Destinies. As we all know, the golden age of Dunhuang was during the Tang Dynasty. The lyrics also quote a poem by Du Mu of the Tang Dynasty, ‘Dawn View,’ which directly points to the prosperity and profundity of ancient Chinese astronomy!”
“Next are the lyrics, and I’ll show you another picture [image].”
“This is a star map of the Seven Mansions of the East. Look, doesn’t it look like a dragon? The lyrics use rap to sing about the Azure Dragon of the East. On the second day of the second lunar month, the dragon raises its head. It matches up again!”
“To be honest, I got goosebumps when I heard this part, which shows how knowledgeable Ms. Nan Xiangwan, who wrote the lyrics and composed the music, is!”
“Please add any missing information!”
This article had already climbed to second place on the trending topics list, with “Star Gate” being first.
Passersby who were still awake came in and exclaimed in amazement, “Wow, there are real masters out there!”
The author of this song, “Star Gate,” which was worth pondering repeatedly, was Nan Xiangwan, who seemed like someone they had never met before.
At this point, would anyone still question whether science fiction and traditional Chinese style were compatible?
Hilarious! China has been researching this for ages!
It has simply been submerged in the long river of history, forgotten and unknown to people. The constellations since ancient times are complex and vast. In addition to the Azure Dragon, there are many other constellation positions, all of which are worthy of study.
Nan Xiangwan used “Star Gate” as the title, not only opening a star gate in the short story of the music video, but also opening a door for all young people.
Countless people expressed that this subject was incredibly interesting, and countless netizens had gone out late at night to buy books and study it, finding ancient astronomy to be truly astounding.
When you put everything together, isn’t it educational?
After reading this article, many people at Chengdong Entertainment had a question mark popping up above their heads.
Why are we bringing up educational significance? This is a huge topic!
But when he thought about Nan Xiangwan’s identity, that she was a student at a national defense university and that as long as she didn’t drop out, she would have a military rank after graduation, he knew he couldn’t afford to mess with her.
When someone of that status does something educational, people will only admire them more.
This time, Chengdong Entertainment has lost everything!
Emergency public relations efforts were launched again, and a group of people worked through the night without sleep.
After the article written by the netizen “Bolan Kuangxiao Han Jiutian” received a terrifying number of reposts, likes, and comments, a large number of people began to add their own comments.
The article analyzed the music from a historical and cultural perspective, but did not discuss the composition and arrangement aspects.
Then people who understood music emerged and began to analyze it in depth.
The guzheng at the beginning lay the foundation for the entire song, and the piano and flute were added at the same time after the main melody was introduced. This arrangement was simply amazing.
The piano played a particularly important role in the piece. Although it was only a supporting role, it was the nexus between classical and modern styles, making the style of the whole piece feel completely natural in the universe.
As for the flute music, it’s the finishing touch!
Even without watching the music video, just listening to it could conjure up images of seven women dancing in your mind.
After watching the video, netizens were once again full of admiration. No wonder they could vividly imagine the scene just by hearing it; now they knew how it came about.
Is that even possible? Wow, Nan Xiangwan is amazing!
Finally, there’s the production— wow! A massive production!
The visual effects company is the same as that of “Starry Night,” and the credits list includes a long list of over a hundred production staff.
This music video can no longer be called a music video; it’s a blockbuster!
Seeing this, Stargate became even more popular, and netizens spontaneously translated these experts’ analyses into different languages and published them on foreign websites.
After all, when this song came out, the foreigners were just sitting there waiting, because they couldn’t understand it or hear it!
What is Azure Dragon? What are the horns, ridges, fins, chambers, heart, tail, and winnowing basket?
Save them!
So, late at night, with no one sleeping, a group of netizens ran back and forth on foreign websites, giving their overseas fans a thorough explanation.
Although it was difficult, it was not just a wall that separated them, but also the understanding and astonishment of five thousand years of culture.
Overseas fans understood only a small part, but even that small part amazed them, saying that the mysterious Eastern culture was indeed extraordinary.
