After editing the recording, it was already 1 p.m., and Sheng Ziyou went directly to the production team of the boy group selection competition.

Although the scene of Feng Yuanxuan’s car accident was only circulating in a small circle, there were already photos to prove it, and the production team would definitely not edit it out.

Therefore, there was a high probability that Feng Yuanxuan’s #caraccident scene# would trend on social media tonight.

However… it remains to be seen whether the fans will be offended.

As long as they could find a way to prevent fans and casual viewers from turning against them, and also prevent Zheng Jiaoqian’s fans from having a chance to criticize him, this controversy could be suppressed quickly.

When Sheng Ziyou arrived at the program site, Feng Yuanxuan was recording an apology video.

Ji Ran and Lin Yidong stood to the side, while Gu Yuzheng held up his phone, and Feng Yuanxuan stood in front of the wall in the practice room without a mirror, apologizing again and again in front of the camera.

The door was only slightly ajar, and Sheng Ziyou stood in the doorway without being noticed by the people inside.

“I am Feng Yuanxuan. I’m sorry, I want to apologize for my performance mistake. I’m very sorry, I…”

“Stop.” Gu Yuzheng frowned.

Ji Ran sighed and looked at Feng Yuanxuan, saying, “Your expression doesn’t look like an apology; it looks more like you’re aggrieved.”

Feng Yuanxuan bit his lip and blinked hard: “I’ll do it again.”

Gu Yuzheng turned on the camera and filmed again.

“I am Feng Yuanxuan, I’m sorry…”

“It still doesn’t work. You need to be more sincere in your tone.”

“Let’s do it again.” Feng Yuanxuan pinched his thigh, his eyes a little red.

Gu Yuzheng took the video again.

“I…” Feng Yuanxuan opened his mouth, but for a long time, he couldn’t utter a single word.

“Never mind.” Gu Yuzheng put down his phone. “Yuan Xuan, don’t push yourself too hard.”

Ji Ran sighed again, said nothing, and went up to pat Feng Yuanxuan on the shoulder.

No one thought it was Feng Yuanxuan’s fault. He himself felt wronged, so how could he admit on camera that it was all his fault?

He felt wronged, and he also felt somewhat unable to apologize in this way.

Was it really all his fault?

Sheng Ziyou shook her head and pushed the door open: “Feng Yuanxuan, let’s talk.”

“Teacher Sheng!” The students’ eyes lit up the moment they saw Sheng Ziyou.

Gu Yuzheng tugged at Lin Yidong, and after the group greeted Sheng Ziyou, they all left immediately, considerately closing the door and leaving the entire room to Sheng Ziyou and Feng Yuanxuan.

“Teacher Sheng…” Feng Yuanxuan opened his mouth and softly uttered these three words.

Sheng Ziyou sat down on the ground, patted the spot next to her, and said, “You sit down too.”

She suddenly realized that instead of focusing on the student’s problem-solving abilities, it was more important to care about his mindset.

Feng Yuanxuan sat down obediently.

“How did you arrange it?” Sheng Ziyou asked.

Feng Yuanxuan turned his head to look at her and replied, “I’ve discussed it with my agent. No matter what the reason for the fall, everyone will only think it’s my fault. The only thing we can do now is to apologize directly after the video airs tonight.”

“Hmm, and then what?”

“Then Brother Liu said he wanted to contact Teacher Zheng and try to reach a reconciliation.”

Sheng Ziyou raised an eyebrow: “You guys want to post it on Weibo yourselves and then have Zheng Jiaoqian repost it?”

“Well… that’s the only way. If Teacher Zheng can repost this, her fans should be more understanding. Those who criticize me would be just the other students’ fans. As long as my fans are still willing to support me, my influence won’t be greatly reduced,” Feng Yuanxuan explained.

Sheng Ziyou smiled and looked at Feng Yuanxuan: “But Zheng Jiaoqian will not agree to a reconciliation, and the people who planned this will not give up easily.”

Feng Yuanxuan bit his lip. His lower lip had already bled from the repeated force of his bite, but he still habitually bit it again, only the pain could bring him back to his senses.

Sheng Ziyou was right. After his agent contacted Zheng Jiaoqian, she directly refused to forgive him and would not retweet his Weibo post.

Brother Liu was still trying to mediate, but he himself had already given up hope.

Two instances of being framed, two instances of being verbally abused, and all sorts of insulting words were thrown at him at once.

Although what happened last night didn’t trend on Weibo, it has already caused quite a stir in Zheng Jiaoqian’s and boy group’s fan forums.

The moment he turned on his phone, countless insults flooded in through comments, reposts, and private messages.

Feng Yuanxuan glanced at it only once before fleeing from Weibo and never logged back in.

“Teacher Sheng…” Feng Yuanxuan suddenly called out in a trembling voice.

Sheng Ziyou looked at him. He was sitting cross-legged with his head down, so his expression was not clear, but tears were falling onto his legs.

“Hmm?” she sighed softly.

“I don’t want to stay in this industry anymore… I want to quit…” When he said this, Feng Yuanxuan seemed to breathe a sigh of relief, but his tears became even more numerous.

Sheng Ziyou was surprised. When she met Feng Yuanxuan today, she knew that he had a mental problem, but she did not expect that he would think of retiring from the entertainment industry.

She didn’t offer any comfort or rush to say anything; instead she simply asked, “How long have you been thinking about this?”

“Actually, I thought about it last time, and I thought about it last night too. I just made the decision.” Feng Yuanxuan still didn’t look up and replied in a muffled voice.

Sheng Ziyou then asked him, “Are you quitting the show, or retiring from the entertainment industry?”

“Leaving the entertainment industry…” Feng Yuanxuan’s voice choked up. “I can’t adapt to this place. I can’t understand why there are so many schemes and why I can never be happy.”

“Are you going to give up music?”

Feng Yuanxuan fell silent.

Sheng Ziyou knew that he was actually struggling and in pain.

“If you retire from the entertainment industry, what will you do after that?”

“I don’t know…” Feng Yuanxuan’s voice choked with sobs and filled with confusion, “But I’m so tired. I haven’t done anything wrong, I’ve been so careful in everything I do, yet countless people still curse me. This path is exhausting, living under the public eye, having to be cautious with every move. I no longer have the courage to go on. I always feel that even if I get through today, tomorrow will still bring unexpected events, and endless insults…”

Sheng Ziyou looked up and gazed into the distance: “Wherever there are people, there is a world of intrigue, especially in a world of fame and fortune like the entertainment industry. A famous person has money and status, and few people are not tempted by such prosperity. To achieve their goals, they will stop at nothing.”

Feng Yuanxuan bit his lower lip until it bled, and the taste of rust instantly filled his mouth. But he dared not open his mouth, for fear that if he did, he would burst into tears.

“But since we’ve chosen this path, we have to keep going. Giving up is easy, but persevering is the hardest.”

Sheng Ziyou was also quite upset. Feng Yuanxuan had just entered this world of fame and fortune, and before he had even seen fame and fortune, he had already witnessed cruelty.

He had a very laid-back personality; he was the kind of guy who could shut himself away in a corner for a few days and write several songs…

This young man with a clear, heavenly voice actually had a very pure heart.

He was indifferent and didn’t compete or fight, but he still didn’t expect that even if he didn’t compete or fight, these terrible things would still happen to him.

So at this point, he backed down.

When faced with unbearable pain, a person’s first reaction was to retreat.

This was normal.

Sheng Ziyou wasn’t surprised at all; she just wanted to ask him again—

“Feng Yuanxuan, have you thought this through? Will you regret it?”

Upon hearing this, Feng Yuanxuan could no longer hold back and burst into tears.

Sheng Ziyou stopped talking and quietly watched him cry, neither handing him a tissue nor offering any words of comfort.

Outside the door.

“Why is Xuan-ge crying?” Lin Yidong asked, completely bewildered.

They couldn’t hear what the two were saying, but they could hear Feng Yuanxuan crying.

Ji Ran nudged him: “Don’t worry about it. Would Teacher Sheng really do something to hurt Xuan Xuan?”

Lin Yidong chuckled: “That’s true. I’m relieved to see Teacher Sheng here!”

“Teacher Sheng is really unlucky to have such a group of students.” Gu Yuzheng rolled his eyes.

Lin Yidong jumped onto his back and put his arm around his neck: “Brother Zheng! You’re so annoying!”

Ji Ran smiled. The dull atmosphere that had lasted from yesterday to today was finally broken by Sheng Ziyou’s arrival.

Inside the room.

Feng Yuanxuan cried for a while, then finally stopped. His red eyes lifted as he looked at Sheng Ziyou: “Teacher Sheng… I don’t know… but I feel so bad, I don’t know how to keep going…”

The insults were still fresh in his mind. He was clearly the one who was harmed, so why was he the one being insulted?

Why was the person who manipulated all of this receiving everyone’s love and sympathy?

That’s so unfair…
