Before leaving the Xing residence to return to the hospital, a doctor surnamed Song came to examine Lu Dangui.

As a veteran who has worked for the Xing family for decades, Dr. Song not only makes house calls for medical consultations, but also shoulders a special responsibility: to clean up after the people the young masters bring back from outside.

Of the four direct descendants of the Xing family, apart from the eldest son who rarely appears at the main residence, each of them has a chaotic private life.

Especially the Second Young Master. Every time he went to check on the Second Young Master’s bed partners, when he entered the bedroom and saw the people, these good-looking children had almost been tortured to the point of being half-dead and lying unconscious on the bed.

This was the first time he had been summoned to treat the young master’s bedmate.

After testing Lu Dangui’s blood, Dr. Song discovered that the substance remaining in his body was an illegal drug unavailable on the market. This type of drug was extremely potent and had significant side effects; it was typically circulated in nightclubs in Europe and America and used for shady transactions.

Using something like this on his bed partner? This young master has gone too far…

He knew there were some questions he shouldn’t ask. He always focused on treating patients and never inquired about the secrets of the Xing family’s powerful background.

After checking the patient’s heart rate, Dr. Song removed his stethoscope: “Because the medication has not been completely eliminated from your body, it is not advisable for you to engage in strenuous exercise for the next two weeks.”

“Try to control the frequency of your nightlife, and pay attention to a healthy diet and sleep schedule. I will also remind you of this.”

Lu Dangui: “…”

He opened his mouth, wanting to explain to the private doctor that his relationship with Xing Cheng wasn’t what the doctor thought. Unexpectedly, Xing Cheng’s bodyguard suddenly appeared at the door, interrupting their conversation: “Old Song.”

Dr. Song turned around: “Mr. Shi, what’s wrong?”

Xing Shi coughed twice: “My master sent me to ask you whether his injury… requires a tetanus shot.”

“Ah, you mean that?” Dr. Song smiled knowingly. “If it’s just a minor cut and there’s no bleeding, no special treatment is needed.”

After saying that, Dr. Song turned on the flashlight again and made Lu Dangui open his mouth.

To ensure the young master’s health, he also needed to determine if there were any signs of lesions in the person’s oral mucosa.

As the doctor pressed metal instruments against the inside of her mouth, Lu Dangui let out an uncomfortable dry heave.

He clenched his fists tightly, unable to contain his anger.

Xing Cheng must have done this on purpose!

Did they really think he was some kind of dog wagging its tail? He got bitten just once and now he had to go through this kind of examination with the doctor!

Dr. Song gave Lu Dangui a list of things to be aware of “afterwards,” and then left the Xing family with his medical kit.

Lu Dangui never saw Xing Cheng again after getting into the car with Xing Shi to return to the hospital and leaving the mansion hidden in the woods far behind.

He had originally planned to wave goodbye to the person before leaving, and then go their separate ways, never to meet again. Unexpectedly, the person didn’t even bother to come out and see him.

Indeed, there was no reason for the eldest son of the Xing family to personally see someone off.

As the car drove onto the bustling city’s main thoroughfare, Lu Dangui’s phone, which was in his pocket, suddenly vibrated.

He tapped on the screen and found that the unknown number that had called Xing Cheng last time had sent him another text message.

The text message contained no words, only a close-up photo.

The photo contained no extraneous scenery, only a hand with clearly defined knuckles.

When this photo was taken, the owner of the hand was clenching his fingers tightly, gripping the dark gray silk bed sheet.

There was a faint mole near his wrist, and Lu Dangui recognized it as his own left hand.

A sharp “snap” came from the back seat. Xing Shi glanced at the rearview mirror and saw that Dr. Lu had slammed his phone shut.

“…”

Lu Dangui threw his phone next to his seat, so angry he felt like he was going to vomit blood.

Taking such photos while someone was not fully conscious was nothing short of taking advantage of someone in distress.

….

The Xing residence, top-floor study.

The heavy cashmere curtains were drawn tightly shut, blocking out the sunlight. The spacious room was shrouded in darkness, save for the bright light from the projector, which shone glaringly onto the stark white walls.

Xing Cheng raised his wine glass and took a small sip.

He placed the wine glass on the solid wood round table beside him, picked up the remote control on the table, and pressed the play button.

The study was very quiet, with only the creaking of the projector. The video on the screen had no sound, like a silent film.

The light from the screen illuminated his facial features, making them appear and disappear in a dim light. In the deathly silence, the film began.

Through the transparent floor-to-ceiling window, a naked yet slender body appeared in the frame with its back to the camera.

The film’s protagonist, completely naked, rested quietly on the man’s shoulder. His hair was damp with sweat, revealing the beautiful lines of his neck.

A pale hand slowly stroked down his thin back, stopping at the tip of his fragile coccyx.

There was a distinct red mark around his neck, a trace left by the collar that had just been removed.

His eyes were tightly closed, his forehead pressed against the man’s. His bloodless lips moved as if he were whispering a plea to the man.

The film continued in silence, but Xing Cheng suddenly heard that faint, urgent sob in his ear.

This was the second time the young doctor had asked him this today.

The veins on his hand bulged as he stopped, as if he was hesitating.

Then, everything began.

Dangui, who was fast asleep, suddenly opened his eyes and realized his predicament.

He slightly raised the back of his neck, then, like a puppy, opened his sharp teeth and bit down hard into the man’s flesh.

Xing Cheng pressed the pause button, and the image froze at the moment the sharp teeth pierced the flesh.

The camera hanging outside the window had a very clear resolution, enough for him to see everything that happened last night.

Xing Cheng lifted the wine glass on the table and swirled it gently. He then moved his middle finger to the stem of the glass and tilted the rim slightly.

Dark red liquid dripped down his neck, flowing down his open collar and onto his slender collarbone. The viscous liquid spread over the bite marks, like blood seeping from a wound.

He rubbed them together in his hands, then put his fingertips in his mouth and sucked on them gently.

His mouth was filled with the strong taste of alcohol, bitter with a hint of sweetness.

It wasn’t as foul-smelling and rotten as he had imagined, nor did it carry the despair of someone on the verge of death.

The still image began to loop. Staring at the smooth back on the screen, he lowered his hands, tilted his head back, and let out a satisfied sigh.

Time seemed to stand still in the dimly lit room until the phone screen on the table suddenly lit up.

He received a reply to the message he had just sent.

Rabbit Doctor: Xing Cheng, are you seriously ill? [Goodbye][Goodbye][Goodbye]

After licking the remaining wine from the corner of his lips, Xing Cheng stopped what he was doing and laughed out loud.

Too many emotions rushed into his chest at once, causing a sharp pain in his head.

Xing Cheng clutched the fabric at his chest tightly, a long, muffled groan escaping his throat.

This was a pain he was destined to suffer, and it was also God’s punishment for him.

He had not experienced the psychological pain that people with alexithymia experience when they feel emotions after a long time.

The wine glass shattered into pieces on the floor. Xing Cheng slowly bent over, gradually laughing until he was breathless.

He was in pain, yet he felt happy.

He was very happy.

He was very happy.
