Ever since Feng Yuanxuan and Jiao Xiu’s last conversation, the two had basically fallen out.

Feng Yuanxuan still remembered Jiao Xiu saying to him: Let’s see how long you can be so smug.

With just this one sentence, Feng Yuanxuan could sense Jiao Xiu’s malice towards him.

But now Jiao Xiu was smiling and showing concern for him, which only made him feel disgusted.

Feng Yuanxuan coldly replied, “Don’t bother, I’m fine.”

Before Jiao Xiu could speak, Hu Changming angrily retorted, “Hey, how dare you talk like that? You dragged the whole team down at the car accident scene, and your attitude is just like that?! Do you have no shame at all?!”

Cui Baixin from their group sneered, “I’ve never seen anyone as shameless as you. So what if you signed with Huayao? Did Huayao buy you a debut spot? Is that why you’re so brazen?”

Feng Yuanxuan was taken aback. He knew he was being ostracized, but he hadn’t expected his group members to have such strong opinions.

But… what other mistakes had he made besides the problem with his performance today?

He stared blankly at Bei Yifan, the student with whom he had always been closest.

The other person’s eyes were filled with worry, but also with a hint of reproach: “Xuan Xuan, Jiao Xiu saved you this time, so… you should be a little nicer with your attitude.”

Feng Yuanxuan was slightly startled, then slumped back in his chair.

They didn’t know what kind of person Jiao Xiu was, and they all thought he was being unreasonable…

But… but Jiao Xiu wasn’t the kind of person who cared about him!

The two of them had already broken off all ties long ago!

Jiao Xiu’s group ostracized Feng Yuanxuan, while Guan Yike’s group was unaware of the situation and dared not interrupt.

“You—” Ji Ran was about to curse when Gu Yuzheng pulled him from behind.

Ji Ran swallowed his words, his face showing his displeasure.

Both he and Gu Yuzheng knew Jiao Xiu’s true nature, and they also knew that Jiao Xiu’s attitude towards Feng Yuanxuan could not possibly be one of concern.

Gu Yuzheng stopped Ji Ran, but stood up himself and looked at Jiao Xiu.

He had no connections; like Ji Ran, he got to where he was today entirely through hard work. They weren’t close to the other trainees before, each keeping to themselves and only caring about their own interests no matter what happened.

But today, Gu Yuzheng stopped Ji Ran, who was about to curse, and stood up himself.

He looked at Jiao Xiu with an unusually calm expression: “If you don’t want people to know, then don’t do it in the first place. You’d better watch out.”

Jiao Xiu’s expression instantly changed, and he met Gu Yuzheng’s gaze.

The entire bus fell silent.

The performance had just ended, and without microphones or cameras, the undercurrents between the trainees were fully exposed.

“What do you mean by that?” Hu Changming asked Gu Yuzheng.

He had a good relationship with Jiao Xiu, while Gu Yuzheng had a good relationship with Lin Yidong and Sheng Ziyou. Because of this, he disliked Gu Yuzheng.

“The literal meaning,” Fu Jiahuan said, standing up.

Guan Yike looked at Fu Jiahuan in the back row with some surprise. This older brother had a good relationship with everyone, and this was the first time he had so obviously intervened in the conflict, and not to mediate, but to confront it head-on.

On one side, Jiao Xiu was in charge, and on the other side, Gu Yuzheng was in charge, forming two opposing sides.

Guan Yike and the others, who remained neutral and completely bewildered, stood in the middle, looking utterly confused.

Hu Changming sneered, “Two penniless bast**ds, all they know is how to curry favor with their mentor.”

Two penniless bast**ds…

It was obviously referring to Gu Yuzheng and Ji Ran.

Lin Yidong slammed his hand on the chair and stood up, glaring at him: “Who are you talking about?! Hu Changming, what’s the point of your constant sarcastic remarks?”

They were all young people, and few of them could control their tempers.

Seeing that the atmosphere was about to break out, Guan Yike quickly spoke up: “Hey, why isn’t the driver driving yet? You guys, hurry up and sit down. We will be resting these few days, so you should be going out to do some promotional work, right? We’ll definitely be getting our phones, aren’t you looking forward to it?”

“Looking forward to it—” Long Mu quickly replied, changing the subject.

Jiao Xiu gave a cold laugh and led Hu Changming and the others to sit down in the front row. Gu Yuzheng also sat down.

Feng Yuanxuan grabbed Ji Ran’s hand, his eyes red-rimmed: “It’s not worth it, it shouldn’t have happened.”

Jiao Xiu was truly terrifying. Feng Yuanxuan had only dealt with him once, yet he was already deeply wary of this man.

If he didn’t become a professional musician, he could still make music, but what about Gu Yuzheng and Ji Ran?

The two of them absolutely had to debut!

With the finals just around the corner, how could they possibly offend Jiao Xiu, whose cunning and ruthless methods were so terrifying, for his sake?!

For the first time, Feng Yuanxuan felt like he was a menace.

But Ji Ran shook his head and chuckled, “Didn’t you hear the saying ‘two poor bast**ds’? Even without you, we would have faced off sooner or later.”

“Hmm,” Gu Yuzheng said, agreeing with Ji Ran.

Jiao Xiu was the kind of person who couldn’t tolerate others. If anyone was in front of him, he would definitely bite them and never let them go.

The reason why Ji Ran’s reputation suddenly worsened and his popularity declined was not necessarily unrelated to Jiao Xiu.

This time, they faced him for Feng Yuanxuan because one reason was that they still had passion in their hearts and couldn’t stand him, and the other was… what was coming couldn’t be avoided.

Following Ji Ran’s previous trending topic and the announcement of his stomach illness, many netizens and fans voted wildly.

Last night they asked Sheng Ziyou again, and she only mentioned Ji Ran’s grades, which were already in the top three.

Their group clearly performed better in this performance, and Ji Ran had a chance to take first place. So he and Jiao Xiu were going to be matched up anyway.

As the saying goes, what’s meant to happen will happen.

Given Jiao Xiu’s character, Gu Yuzheng didn’t want to debut with him.

Guan Yike and Long Mu tried to smooth things over by saying a few words.

Everyone gave him face, so naturally they didn’t continue arguing.

But apart from the two people talking, there was no other sound on the bus.

Gradually, Guan Yike and Long Mu also stopped talking.

The bus fell silent. And everyone closed their eyes, but whether they were asleep or thinking about something else, it was hard to tell.

The mentors were naturally unaware of what had happened between the trainees. After the performance, Sheng Ziyou went backstage. There, Qu Feng stopped her, and the two exchanged a few words.

“Hey, we’re in the same production team, yet we rarely get to see each other,” Qu Feng said with a smile.

There were no cameras here, and the microphone had been taken away, so Sheng Ziyou didn’t stand on ceremony: “Brother Qu, isn’t this because you’re too busy? I’m in the practice room every day, it’s just that you haven’t come.”

Qu Feng touched his nose: “You’ll be just as busy as I am in the future.”

He was certain that Sheng Ziyou would become a top-tier star and get very busy.

Sheng Ziyou shook her head helplessly.

After a moment, Qu Feng seemed to remember something and said, “You should just call me Qu Qu. Calling me Brother Qu makes me feel too old. I’m still in my prime.”

Sheng Ziyou looked helpless: “Alright, alright, Qu Qu, who’s in the prime of her life, aren’t you busy today?”

“I have a performance today, so of course I’m free. I’ve already made time for it. I’ll be heading out to record the challenge the day after tomorrow.” The challenge was short for “Come Challenge”.

Upon hearing this, Sheng Ziyou turned her head, a half-smile on her face: “Don’t get fooled again this time.”

Qu Feng couldn’t help but roll his eyes: “You think everybody is like you, able to manipulate everyone? Let me tell you, we even recorded an episode a few days ago, and we caught the traitor early on!”

Sheng Ziyou looked at him, feeling that he still had something to say.

Sure enough, Qu Feng added with a touch of pride, “I caught him!”

Sheng Ziyou: “…Look at you, so capable.”

“Ziyou, let me tell you, if you go again, I definitely won’t be fooled by you!” Qu Feng said with certainty.

Sheng Ziyou just smiled and didn’t say anything.

“By the way, do you want to go out for dinner together? I have plans with Teacher Ran and Xiang Yuan.” Qu Feng asked as she was about to leave.

Sheng Ziyou turned her head and laughed: “If you bring me along, how could you not bring Wen Shanshan?”

Her words were full of teasing; they all knew that Wen Shanshan was pursuing Qu Feng.

The show only had five regular cast members. If they excluded Wen Shanshan and only brought Sheng Ziyou, who was the only woman, then…

Qu Feng wasn’t stupid; he knew that inviting Sheng Ziyou wouldn’t be possible without inviting Wen Shanshan.

He sighed and changed his mind without hesitation: “…Let’s make it another time.”

Sheng Ziyou: “…”
