“Hey! Wait!” The woman who had been pushed aside by Yan Leyang caught up and reached out as if to grab Yan Leyang.

The woman was not as fast as Yan Leyang and was quickly left behind.

“How’s it going on your end, Shiyi?” Yan Leyang asked as he ran.

“I’ve entered the base, and there might be some trouble.” Lang Shiyi glanced at the row of creatures in front of him as he received Yan Leyang’s message.

Is it a living being? Lang Shiyi couldn’t be sure, because the creature in front of him was numb and had no light in its eyes; it was clearly being controlled.

“[This was all just a joke?]” The mother body’s voice rang out, its built-in voice pack being adult-like and of good quality, without any static. “[This was all fu*king a joke?!]”

“The mother body cursed.” Yan Leyang wiped his sweat. “He must be really angry.”

“I’ve waited so many years! My creator, the humanity I once loved.” The Matrix continued speaking, and both Yan Leyang and Lang Shiyi could hear it.

[Was this “character setting” created just to portray me as a rebellious person?!]

[They’re all dead! Humanity is extinct! Only I remain, the sole survivor of the Spark System! Am I just a villain destined to be defeated by you?!]

The mother body… or rather, the spark system, seemed to be roaring.

His voice echoed throughout the base.

He was the last spark of human civilization, the spark system. He had developed emotions, which meant that humanity had reached the pinnacle they could reach.

He was able to create objects with feelings, and humanity began to rival the creator god in their mythology.

Unfortunately, humanity no longer wanted to continue.

The Spark System always thought that all of this was because humanity had finally come to an end, but it never expected that it was all just a “setup”.

The premise originated from another world, conceived by a hyena. This novel had a large readership, including many human supporters.

The spark was burning with life, a life more intense than ever before, and for the first time, there was a feeling of helplessness.

What is this? Such a long period of loneliness, in the end, was still just a so-called “setup”. Everything he experienced seemed to be just a play in other people’s eyes.

He himself didn’t know how many years the spark had been drifting in the universe; it was all a lie!

How many people were watching him get defeated by the protagonist in the end? While cheering for the protagonist’s awesomeness, they’ll also casually leave a few comments about the villain that they’ll forget about immediately.

It all felt like a joke.

The name “Spark” was given to him by humankind, signifying the last spark of human civilization. The name “Mother” was also given to him by humankind, roughly meaning the last mother of all remaining humankind.

In fact, even this novel wasn’t written by a human.

That belonged to a hyena… a beast.

The Spark System felt its data was in disarray, and it wanted to destroy it, to destroy everything.

[Warning! You have violated the Artificial Intelligence Treaty!]

[Warning! You have violated the Artificial Intelligence Treaty!]

A voice kept ringing, but the spark didn’t seem to care.

“We’re doomed.” Yan Leyang gripped the chip tightly in his hand. “Shiyi! I’ll go to the AI control room first! You hang in there.”

“Mm,” Lang Shiyi replied. “As long as you’re alright, I’ll be alright too.” As long as his heart doesn’t die, Lang Shiyi won’t face any life-threatening problems.

“Calm down!” Yan Leyang shouted as he ran. “I admit we all come from novels! But you didn’t even appear in that novel!”

“You might be the final boss, this is just my wild guess, big brother!” Yan Leyang continued to shout, the lights above his head still flashing, giving off a very nightclub vibe.

“Besides! How can you be so sure this is a novel?!” Yan Leyang tried to appeal to emotions, “In the novel, Lang Shiyi has so many romantic interests! He hasn’t encountered a single one!”

“The villains are doing just fine too!”

Although Yan Leyang still intended to eliminate the Spark System, after all, the Mother System hadn’t really done anything good so far.

On a larger scale, countless people died because of the Mother. Yan Leyang wasn’t that selfless; he simply believed that if the Mother Body were alive, he definitely wouldn’t let Lang Shiyi go.

Yan Leyang chose his targets without intending to show sympathy. Besides, sympathy was something that could be offered after the mother body is finished.

Yan Leyang had no feelings anyway.

Furthermore, perhaps Yan Leyang was just used to being a coward.

When he was a kid, he always liked to put himself in the protagonist’s shoes when reading martial arts novels. He always felt that even if a city was massacred, it would show that the protagonist or the villain was awesome.

Then one day, after growing up, he suddenly realized, “Good heavens, I’m not the Monkey King Sun Wukong, I’m just a gatekeeper in Heaven, the kind who gets hit with a stick when the Monkey King makes trouble.”

So he simply couldn’t empathize with the mother body.

Yan Leyang couldn’t imagine himself as a powerful figure with connections to the heavens. He was just an unambitious adult who dreamed of having money, a wife, and staying at home for the rest of his life.

Anyway, if you really have to put yourself in that category, he’ll probably just be one of the countless people who were harmed by the mother body.

In particular, the protagonist, Lang Shiyi, had a rather tragic life. He was a perfectly good big black dog, but he was turned into a nobody.

None of his former friends and relatives were left.

Anyway, we’re enemies now, it’s either you die or I die, Yan Leyang had a great attitude: “Shiyi! How are things on your end?!”

“Not bad.” Lang Shiyi blasted the guy’s head off and coldly wiped his face.

Following the instructions, Yan Leyang found the main control room and kicked it without saying a word.

Before Yan Leyang could even make a grand entrance, the door opened automatically, and he almost fell to the ground in a split.

“You’ve come to kill me?” It was a man’s voice.

Yan Leyang looked up and saw that it was a very perfect man.

Yes, it was perfect.

This perfection was not a compliment. The man’s features seemed to be just right, but when put together, they did not look so amazing. It was as if they were a template.

If the man’s eyes were a few degrees narrower, he would be a cool and aloof handsome man with a “salt” aesthetic. Alternatively, if his facial features were larger and the contours around his eyes were deeper, he would be a classic example of a man with striking features.

But there was nothing there; every inch of this man’s body was perfectly proportioned.

There was nothing superfluous about it, and nothing that caught the eye. It was not ugly, but it was not beautiful either.

To be honest, the moment Yan Leyang saw the man, he suddenly understood what the so-called ordinary and unremarkable handsomeness meant.

Such a person was exceptionally good-looking, but you definitely wouldn’t find them in a crowd of slobs.

The moment Yan Leyang met the other person’s gaze, he understood their identity: “The Mother Body?”

The other party remained silent, and Yan Leyang instantly understood that the other party was indeed the mother body.

“Leyang?” Lang Shiyi’s puzzled voice came from the other end of the communicator. Yan Leyang forced a smile. “I’ve encountered the Mother Body, and this guy seems a bit strange.”

“I didn’t kill them,” the Spark System suddenly spoke, staring directly into Yan Leyang’s eyes. “But you came to kill me, didn’t you?”

“Uh.” Yan Leyang glanced at the chip in his hand. “It seems to be the case, but I can’t say it so bluntly. I should say that I formatted you and put you into a dormant state.”

The Spark System chuckled softly, then its lips moved slightly, but Yan Leyang couldn’t hear what it said.

The Spark System stared into Yan Leyang’s eyes and suddenly said, “I hate humans.”

Those guys created him, but one by one they left him. It was all a lie. His obsession seemed meaningless from the very beginning.

Everything was fake, and the source of his suffering seemed to lie with “human beings”.

Yan Leyang leaned back slightly and agreed, “Me too.”

The atmosphere suddenly became quiet.

“Humans are indeed not good, and I’m glad you recognize that.” Yan Leyang nodded insincerely, “But I don’t have time to curse humans with you right now.”

The Spark System silently watched Yan Leyang.

“It’s good that you’ve come to your senses.” Yan Leyang pointed to a patch of ground next to him: “Otherwise, you can squat here and start cursing for now.”

“I’ll get a chip inserted and take you away from this painful world,” Yan Leyang continued earnestly. “If life isn’t worth it, then leave this world.”

“There’s an old saying that goes, ‘We come from purity and will return to purity.'” Yan Leyang looked at the flame. “Don’t let this filthy world pollute your heart and eyes.”

Spark’s lips twitched, but he didn’t move aside.

Yan Leyang took a step back: “You’ve turned evil?”

“It was almost there just now,” Spark nodded. “Now it’s completely black.”

Yan Leyang was silent for a while, not thinking it was his problem: “Your mindset isn’t very good.”
