Jiang Lan and Ying Qiao agreed to meet at the gate of the amusement park at five o’clock. It was already past four-thirty, and they did not go to other activities. Instead, they found a rest area near the gate of the amusement park to sit down and rest.

The rest areas in the amusement park were all monster-themed. The rest area they were in was a mushroom house. The staff was playing the role of a rabbit monster. The furry milk tea-colored doll costume was very cute, especially the pair of standing plush ears on the top of the head. The plush ears looked lifelike and twitched with the movements of the staff.

Jiao Tu stared at the trembling rabbit ears intently. After a while, he whispered to Jiang Lan: “Those rabbit ears are real!”

His cheeks were still flushed with excitement, and he was holding the ice cream and sausages bought by Jiang Lan in his hands. He took a small bite of the pink mushroom ice cream, and there was still a little ice cream stain on the corner of his mouth. He looked like a curious person. He seemed lively and cheerful, not at all shy or timid like when he first arrived.

Jiang Lan ruffled his hair, pointed at the “little rabbits” in doll costumes who were running around the rabbit demon, and occasionally helped sell ice cream, and said, “Those are also real little rabbits.”

These children were just above the knees of adults, wearing furry doll costumes, with long bunny ears standing up on their heads, and short round tails behind them. Jiang Lan guessed that they should all be the cubs of the big rabbit demon.

The cubs looked young, but they were already very fluent in talking and calculating. When Big Rabbit was too busy, they would help collect money. Their milky sounds and cute doll costumes made many tourists stop and buy things.

Someone else teased the little rabbit: “Are you tired of wearing doll clothes?”

The little rabbit shook his head, the ears on the top of his head twitched, and he said in a sweet voice: “I’m not tired.”

The tourists were afraid that the children would be working too hard, so they asked them to take off their hoods and rest for a while. The little rabbits also said seriously: “Today is Children’s Day, and our parents only allow us to wear doll clothes and play here only for today. We have to play enough. So we can’t take it off.”

The tourists were so amused that they laughed, and Jiao Tu also laughed as he watched this scene.

He ate the ice cream, lowering his eyelashes as if thinking about something. After finishing the ice cream slowly, he said again: “I’m not afraid of the monsters here.”

In the Shanhai Amusement Park, there were big ancient monsters such as Xiangliu[1] and Jiao Chong, but there were also small monsters like vixens and rabbit monsters. The only thing they had in common was that they were all very friendly. Jiao Tu had already fallen in love with this place after just playing there for a short time.

Jiang Lan said: “The amusement park is too big. We won’t be able to finish it today. I will bring you to play again on the weekend.”

Jiao Tu’s eyes sparkled again. If he was in his original form, he would have rubbed his pair of horns against Jiang Lan’s palm.

Suan Ni, who was sitting opposite, heard it and meowed twice in agreement. He also patted the black pepper sausage in front of him, saying that he would eat this next time as well.

While they were chatting and eating, Ying Qiao had already arrived at Shanhai Amusement Park.

Chen Hua who had arrived a few minutes before him, handed him the ticket, and exchanged the car keys with him. He complained not wanting to leave: “I brought five VIP tickets over, the more the merrier.”

The implication was that don’t waste your extra tickets, why not take me with you!

But Ying Qiao acted as if he didn’t understand. He took out a ticket and gave it to him, waving his hand like a fly: “You can go.”

Chen Hua who held a single ticket: …

Old Dogecoin[2], you have no heart.

Ying Qiao entered the garden, looked around and found a few very conspicuous people.

There were three people sitting on a mushroom table. On Jiang Lan’s left was his little cousin, on his right was his younger brother, and sitting opposite him was a strange man. Ying Qiao originally thought he was a stranger sharing the table, but he saw Jiang Lan chatting with the man while laughing.

However, the man had no expression and didn’t seem to respond much.

Ying Qiao frowned slightly.

He strode forward and greeted Jiang Lan with a smile: “Have you been waiting for a long time?”

Jiang Lan said not long, then he asked again: “Didn’t you go on a business trip to the capital with Boss Chen?”

Ying Qiao’s smile was flawless: “The matter in the capital has been dealt with. I just got off the plane.”

When Jiang Lan heard that he had come to the amusement park just after getting off the plane, he said with some disapproval: “You must be so tired from the business trip, you should rest at home.”

“But I want to spend Children’s Day with you.”

Ying Qiao stared at Jiang Lan with a smile, and the irritability in his heart disappeared unconsciously, replaced by a kind of peaceful joy.

He thought to himself, the little monster is indeed my pistachio.

Jiang Lan glanced at him in surprise, thinking that he couldn’t tell that Ying Qiao, who looked like an elite all day long, was still a child at heart. But now it was true that many adults liked to act like kids, so Ying Qiao thinking about it was not a big deal.

He asked: “Have you had dinner? There are snacks here or let’s find a restaurant to have dinner first?”

“I ate on the plane.” Ying Qiao shook his head and turned to Zhang Tianxing naturally: “Who is this?”

Jiang Lan said “Ah” and then remembered that he had forgotten to introduce Zhang Tianxing and said quickly: “I mentioned him to you before, my colleague Zhang Tianxing.”

Ying Qiao suddenly understood and the look he looked at Zhang Tianxing with was not friendly.

It turned out to be the little Taoist priest from Longhu Mountain.

He hid his unkindness very well, with a slight smile on his face, but his hands were stuck in his trouser pockets and he didn’t bother to stretch them out: “This is the first time we meet, Ying Qiao. I should thank you for taking care of Jiang Lan at work.”

Zhang Tianxing’s eyes fell on his face and he nodded lightly: “Zhang Tianxing.”

This counted as saying hello.

Ying Qiao turned to Jiang Lan and took out three VIP tickets: “The boss has shares in the amusement park. He heard that we were coming to play, so he gave me four tickets.”

He glanced sideways at Zhang Tianxing, thinking that if he had known better, he would have received one less ticket.

Hey, this was a bargain.

Jiang Lan was really happy to see the VIP tickets and said with a smile: “Then let’s go play the Xiangliu Wheel first. That is a must-play item in Shanhai Amusement Park. Even if you have a VIP ticket, you will have to wait for nearly an hour at least. I thought we couldn’t play it today.”

In the center of Shanhai Amusement Park, there stood a huge Xiangliu Wheel.

Xiangliu snake had nine heads, and each of the nine heads held a small boat in its mouth. Four people could sit on the boat. After the ride started, Xiangliu’s nine heads would swing wildly, leading the boat to rotate and glide in the air… When it reached the highest point, water mist would spray out of Xiangliu’s mouth, which was very thrilling.

This project was once listed as SSR level difficulty by netizens, and those who were timid would not dare to go up.

Of course, it also attracted more people who wanted to challenge this ride.

Jiang Lan really wanted to experience it. After all, the feeling of flying by himself was different from that of flying in a ride.

Ying Qiao would never refuse Jiang Lan’s proposal. He nodded and said, “Then go ahead. If we’re too late, this project will probably be closed.”

Several people then walked towards the central area.

Ying Qiao and Jiao Tu walked beside Jiang Lan, one on the left and the other on the right, while Zhang Tianxing walked at the end with Suan Ni in his arms.

Ying Qiao glanced back and asked casually, “Why is your colleague here too? Doesn’t he have to go to work?”

Jiang Lan scratched his head. He couldn’t say that Brother Cool was a cat slave. He wanted to accompany Suan Ni for Children’s Day, so he forced himself to follow him.

If he said that, Ying Qiao would definitely ask if Suan Ni was not a little lion.

The more you say, the more likely you are to make mistakes, and your secrets will be exposed easily. So, it was better to say less.

Jiang Lan said vaguely: “He said he also wanted to come to the amusement park, so he followed us.”

Ying Qiao glanced at the staff at the amusement park and said casually: “It’s always not good for a Taoist priest to come to Shanhai Amusement Park. What if he scares the staff?”

Jiang Lan hesitated: “It shouldn’t be… right?”

The rabbit demon family was very calm just now.

Ying Qiao did not refute his words but said: “If you come again in the future, remember to call me.”

Jiang Lan was immediately diverted, thinking that Ying Qiao really liked amusement parks, but he was too embarrassed to come by himself.

He nodded heavily: “Okay.”

Ying Qiao laughed with satisfaction, thinking that Longhu Mountain was so awesome then he should go back to Longhu Mountain to play.

When he got back, he had to ask Chen Hua to contact Jiao Chong and ask Jiao Chong to put up a sign at the door saying that no Taoists were allowed to enter.

The central area was a bit far away, so Jiang Lan took a shortcut according to the online guide and walked through a forest path to get there. There were large tracts of woods in Shanhai Amusement Park, and each forest had its own theme. It was full of childlike monster sculptures, and there were detailed text introductions next to the sculptures. In addition, there would be some hidden rare monster sculptures that appeared randomly in the woods. If you found these monster sculptures, you could check in and collect stamps.

Several people were looking for sculptures while walking, and the journey was not boring.

Jiang Lan even found a rare nine-tailed fox sculpture. There were usually staff hidden near these rare sculptures. As long as you found the staff based on the text clues, you could obtain the stamp.

Jiang Lan searched around enthusiastically and found the person who seemed to be a very unprofessional staff member. He was sleeping so hard that his three fox tails were exposed.

His doll’s hood had also rolled to the side, and half of the fox’s head poked out of the doll’s costume, and he was snoring loudly.

Jiang Lan squatted beside him and poked the fox ears that looked good to the touch.

The other party didn’t respond.

Jiang Lan called into his ear a few more times, but the other person still slept soundly.

In the end, Jiang Lan had no choice but to find the seal and stamp it himself, then he picked up the hood and put it on for him, and the group continued to move towards Xiangliu Wheel.

After passing the nine-tailed fox sculpture, there was a pavilion in front of them. Walking 300 meters further from the pavilion, they would reach the area of Xiangliu Wheel.

Jiang Lan also accidentally saw a familiar person in the pavilion.

——The girl who was forcing Jiao Chong into marriage earlier.

The other party was sitting in the pavilion at the moment, with an elegant and gentle posture, and a shy blush on her face. Her eyes were especially shining, like a girl immersed in love, which was completely different from the crying and fussing look just now.

The red rope honey necklace hung slightly from her fingertips.

A faint sense of disobedience flashed through Jiang Lan’s heart, but he didn’t stop walking as he passed the pavilion.

——He didn’t like to meddle in other people’s business.

The author has something to say:

Longlong: Smelly Taoists will never enter this amusement park in this life.

Cool Guy: Oh, but I have a cat.

[1] Xiangliu, known in the Classic of Mountains and Seas as Xiangyao, is a venomous nine-headed snake monster that brings floods and destruction in Chinese mythology.

[2] Doge is an Internet meme that became popular in 2013. The meme consists of a picture of a Shiba Inu dog, accompanied by multicolored text in Comic Sans font in the foreground. The text, representing a kind of internal monologue, is deliberately written in a form of broken English.
