“It’s truly fortunate to be able to act alongside Young Master Si in ‘The Fang of Time’ this time.”

Zhao Lili’s voice, like her delicate features, was soft and clear like water, easily winning over men.

Si Huang opened her eyes, glanced at her indifferently, and didn’t reply.

Zhao Lili wasn’t embarrassed but smiled, “I’ve been following Young Master Si since his debut, and I’ve always felt there are many things I can learn from him.”

“So?” Si Huang didn’t want to hear too much nonsense and waited for Zhao Lili to get to the point.

Zhao Lili didn’t notice Si Huang’s rejection and thought he was interested in what she had to say, so she organized her thoughts and spoke her mind, “I really want to join Fenghuang Entertainment, and I hope Young Master Si won’t mind.”

“Fenghuang won’t mind any talent,” Si Huang said.

Before Zhao Lili could even feel happy, Si Huang’s next words froze her smile. “Fenghuang recruits students every year. If you’re interested, you can apply to join Fenghuang’s freshman training program.”

“I know, but I don’t consider myself a freshman. At least I’ve already played a movie role, and my acting skills have been personally evaluated by Young Master Si, haven’t they?” Zhao Lili knew that showing confidence would make it easier to pique people’s interest.

When she got the role of the Queen in “The Fang of Time,” she confidently explained her talent and ability to Xiao Jin and others, ultimately standing out among her classmates.

“A role?” Si Huang laughed. “Cannon fodder who appeared twice and for less than five minutes.”

Zhao Lili’s eyes widened. “How can you say that? Didn’t Young Master Si also start out playing supporting roles? Why are you belittling me like that?”

“Ha.” Si Huang chuckled.

If his words hadn’t been so infuriating, Zhao Lili was afraid she would have been captivated by the other’s smile.

But that captivating smile, coupled with that gorgeous voice uttering those infuriating words, “Where do you get the confidence to compare yourself to me?”

“…” Zhao Lili’s pretty face turned red.

Si Huang glanced at her sideways, “If you really want to get into Fenghuang, then take it one step at a time and follow the proper procedures. If you’re truly talented, you’ll definitely have a place in Fenghuang.”

Zhao Lili argued, “But I know there are many people in Fenghuang who didn’t get there through hard work.”

“Are you talking about Guan Li?” A hint of mockery flashed in Si Huang’s eyes, “Are you sure you’re qualified to compare yourself to Sister Guan?”

“No…” Zhao Lili clenched her fists, but her inner anger roared: Why can’t I compare? Sooner or later, I will definitely reach Guan Li’s level!

Si Huang said, “Not Sister Guan, then you mean the group from Huaxing Art School?”

Zhao Lili silently acquiesced.

Si Huang’s mockery had materialized into a sharp blade. “They are my classmates, the first batch of talents who created ‘Red Moon.’ As the owner of Fenghuang, I don’t need any reason to promote them.”

“But you just said we should follow the procedures step by step.”

“Don’t you understand? People I like don’t need this process.”

Zhao Lili suddenly looked up, staring at the perfect face that could make countless women fantasize. Even with mockery in his eyes, he remained elegant and composed like a noble gentleman. “I have no good feelings towards you.”

The words had been so blunt that Zhao Lili would only humiliate herself if she continued to argue. However, she was still young and a beautiful woman who considered herself very talented, and she couldn’t ignore Si Huang’s contempt.

“I didn’t expect Young Master Si to be this kind of person.”

“Yu Xi, stop the car.”

The car stopped at a parking spot halfway down the road.

Si Huang gestured for her to stop. “To avoid upsetting Miss Zhao, please don’t continue to share a car with someone like me.”

“What?” Zhao Lili was shocked.

“Should I have my agent open the car door for you personally?”

Si Huang asked. Yu Xi, who was in the front seat, actually got out and walked to the back door to open the door for Zhao Lili.

Zhao Lili looked up at Yu Xi with a hint of grievance and resentment, but the latter seemed unable to understand her gaze.

Zhao Lili felt both angry and confused. She had sensed that Yu Xi had feelings for her when they first met, so why was he acting completely differently now?

“Ms. Zhao, please get out of the car,” Yu Xi’s voice rang out.

Zhao Lili said awkwardly, “But it’s hard to get a taxi here.”

She wondered if Si Huang would be so rude.

“Ms. Zhao’s flight is unlikely to be the same as ours,” Si Huang’s words pierced her pretense like a sharp knife. “You’re not in a hurry to catch your flight, and you don’t need to worry about getting a taxi.”

“…” Zhao Lili bit her lower lip and stiffly got out of the car.

This was absolutely the most embarrassing and shameful moment of her life. She watched helplessly as the back door was exposed, as Yu Xi returned to the driver’s seat, and as the black sedan sped away.

“You’re not a man!” Zhao Lili cursed angrily from behind.

Si Huang, who certainly wasn’t a real man, looked up at Yu Xi in the car and asked, “Did you figure it out?”

Yu Xi, cleverly aware of her question, silently replied, “She’s a woman who can’t stand being alone, and she’s very ambitious.”

“Anything else?” Si Huang was pleased that her efforts hadn’t been in vain.

Yu Xi said, “High emotional intelligence, strong resilience, but too arrogant.”

Seeing that he was still unwilling to talk about himself, Si Huang took the initiative to be direct, “She’ll only use you as a stepping stone.”

Yu Xi remained silent for a while.

Si Huang could see his expression in the rearview mirror; he was relatively calm and did not look upset.

“I don’t know why you’re targeting Zhao Lili like this, I did have a bit of a crush on her at first, but not to the point of love at first sight, and I certainly won’t,” Yu Xi said.

Si Huang turned her gaze to the window. “Maybe it’s because I’ve been a bit anxious lately.” Because of Qin Fan’s matter, and thinking of the people around her, she couldn’t help but want to change something. “I won’t force you to do anything, I just hope you can see things more clearly.”

Zhao Lili’s problem mainly lied with Yu Xi himself, which was why Si Huang adopted this gentle approach to subtly guide him. However, if Yu Xi still fell into Zhao Lili’s gentle trap, she had nothing to say, only trying her best to pull him back at the end.

“No.” A slight smile appeared on Yu Xi’s elite face. “I’m very grateful for your concern.”

If Si Huang hadn’t personally tested and provoked Zhao Lili, he really couldn’t have imagined that the delicate and gentle woman harbored such ambition and scheming.

Even though Zhao Lili’s behavior wasn’t ugly or her words weren’t harsh during their conversation, those involved are often blinded, while bystanders see clearly; one’s true nature can still be discerned from certain words.

Zhao Lili’s repeated comparisons to Si Huang, Guan Li, and others revealed her arrogance. She then tried to use Si Huang to directly enter Fenghuang Entertainment. When reminded to be more grounded, she brought up people from Huaxing Art School, showing her petty and opportunistic nature.

….

The news of Si Huang’s return to China wasn’t concealed. Surrounded by a large crowd of fans, she walked from the airport to her car with such grandeur that it was later reported by entertainment reporters, even more glamorous than a top-tier star’s return.

Upon returning to Fenghuang Entertainment’s headquarters in Beijing, Si Huang only had time for a little over an hour of sleep before having Yu Ling do some light makeup to make her look less tired, and then rushed to ZZ’s press conference.

The ZZ press conference was attended not only by top stars like Guan Li and An Yiyuan, but also by Director Liu, Du Xiaoguang, and others. Li Jiming and Ji Xiang also brought their young masters to attend.

To Si Huang’s delight and exasperation, Grandma Yu also joined in the fun. Upon seeing her and Old Tie below, Grandma Yu winked at Si Huang and raised her arm to indicate she was in great shape.

Si Huang smiled at her, and then, under the flashing lights of a group of reporters, explained ZZ’s functions and introduced Su Yueban, Yuan Liang, and other production team members to the stage.

“ZZ is short for ‘Zhizhi,’ and its name comes from this person,” Si Huang said, bringing the impatient Five Treasure to the stage.

Five Treasure was wearing a festive red Tang suit and immediately did a somersault, creating a harmonious atmosphere in the venue, eliciting continuous laughter.

“I’ve heard that Si Huang adores this pet, even creating a pet Weibo account for it, and giving it a chance to appear during program filming. Now even the software’s name is inseparable from it. I wonder how many women wish they could be Si Huang’s pet!” a reporter in the audience joked.

Si Huang pointed at Five Treasure, who was holding its head high with an air of superiority, and smiled, “It’s not my pet, it’s my little friend.”

“Squeak!” Five Treasure hugged Si Huang’s hand, giving it a few kisses.

This adorable little creature won the hearts of many women, who suddenly found mice less annoying. But what truly made their eyes light up was Si Huang’s gentle smile. Smiling so tenderly, the little hamster was truly enviable! “Don’t be so loving, Your Majesty!”

After Five Treasure’s warm-up, Si Huang temporarily handed the stage to Su Yueban and the others, letting them answer the reporters’ questions.

The ZZ press conference went very well. After Su Yueban and the others finished answering the reporters’ questions, Si Huang announced, “From now on, all of Fenghuang’s works will be released on the ZZ streaming platform first.”

This was the first major announcement. Immediately afterward, Si Huang added, “ZZ’s role is not only as an excellent and comprehensive media player and in online dating, it will demonstrate even greater value, pioneering the creation of online celebrities.”

“What does ‘online celebrity’ mean?” This novel term piqued everyone’s curiosity.

Si Huang smiled and said, “The world is not lacking in talent, but for various reasons, many people cannot showcase their talents in the entertainment industry. Some people have talent but are rejected by entertainment companies because of their appearance; some people reject the unfree life of being constantly in the public eye as celebrities; and some people lack the connections, networks, and platforms to showcase themselves.”

“Fenghuang Entertainment will join forces with ZZ to establish a Hidden Star department, specifically to cultivate these talents. Fenghuang Entertainment has already officially signed its first Hidden Star, as you can see on the big screen.”

The technical operator was Su Yueban, who logged into his ZZ account and entered a channel called ‘Fenghuang Signing— Shen Hai’. There was only one ZZ account in the channel with the ID ‘Shen Hai,’ but this ID had a crown at the end, which everyone recognized as Fenghuang Entertainment’s company logo.

“Hello everyone, this is Shen Hai.” A pleasant male voice came from the excellent sound system.

The voice seemed to pause slightly in nervousness, but it couldn’t hide his inherent goodness, conjuring up the image of a gentle, ethereal being fallen from heaven.

“It’s an honor to participate in ZZ’s launch event today as the first Hidden Star signed by Fenghuang. Did you all see the channel number I’m on? 901 is my exclusive channel from now on. Anyone who wants to hear me sing can add this channel number to their favorites and then enter the channel.”

“Here, I am Shen Hai. Please don’t ask my real name, age, height, or any other private information. Even if you ask, I may not tell you the truth. I hope you simply fall in love with my singing.”

Su Yueban’s voice followed. “As the administrator of this channel, you can set it to mute others when you sing, or you can set it to allow a specific person to speak. More features will be released with the software. Now, please enjoy Shen Hai’s singing.”

Everyone quieted down in unison, and then the audio started playing— a familiar song —”Tianxia,” the ending theme of “Red Moon,” sung by a famous female singer specializing in ancient Chinese style music.

However, sung by Shen Hai’s male voice, it didn’t sound out of place at all. This was not only because the lyrics of “Tianxia” were gender-neutral, but more importantly, because Shen Hai’s voice was broader and more serene, seemingly coming from afar, carrying a touch of desolate huskiness, which further highlighted the warmth and clarity of his voice, giving people an ancient illusion of transcending time.

After the song “Tianxia” ended, many people in the audience remained silent, as if still savoring the beauty and resonance of the song.

The entertainment reporters’ eyes flashed with surprise. This male voice was truly outstanding. With his singing skills, he could definitely enter the top tier of the music industry if he entered it. However, they had never heard this voice before in the entertainment industry.

With such a uniquely gifted voice, why didn’t he enter the entertainment industry and instead choose to hide behind an app? Could this be because of one of the reasons Si Huang mentioned earlier?

“Thank you everyone.” Shen Hai left the channel after finishing the song.

Su Yueban reiterated, “ZZ’s anti-theft and privacy protection features are very comprehensive. Unless authorized by the individual, personal information will absolutely not be leaked.”

Entertainment reporters, always quick-witted, sensed a business opportunity and ZZ’s potential profits just from the points revealed at the ZZ press conference.

Near the end of the press conference, Si Huang dropped the final bombshell, “Tomorrow at noon, I will log into the official ZZ Fenghuang channel and randomly select ten lucky members from those who attend for an interactive Q&A session. One hundred of these members will receive a special limited-edition gift.”

This press conference was broadcast live, and all the girls watching instantly brightened up upon hearing Si Huang’s words.

Wow! Ten lucky members can interact with His Majesty! Is it really an interactive Q&A session across the internet? Isn’t this just like having a close online friend? And can they really ask anything?

Exciting questions flooded their minds, and as soon as the press conference ended, the girls immediately searched for the official ZZ software’s URL.
