Back in the capital, Nan Xiangwan resumed her busy studies, during which she was called in for a talk by her superior, Guan Fei.

In the office, Guan Fei fiddled with the selfie stick and asked, “How does it feel?”

Nan Xiangwan gave a negative review without hesitation: “The feel isn’t as good as a gun, no, it’s incomparable. The smell of gunpowder is also very strong and doesn’t dissipate. You can tell it’s a gun as soon as you fire a bullet. The concealment is completely useless. Overall, it’s a useless piece of junk. You might as well give me a normal gun. I think Wushuang has one…”

Guan Fei’s eyelids twitched. He had only asked the question casually, but Xiangwan had written a long essay about it.

After spending the evening with Nan Xiangwan, Guan Fei put away the selfie stick and gave feedback on the issues summarized above.

If it doesn’t work well, no matter how well you modify it, it’s a waste.

We need to come up with a new way to get the honey badger some suitable equipment.

In the dormitory, Vice Principal Zuo Zhiye would come every evening during self-study time and teach a lot of knowledge points, from bandaging external injuries to treating internal organs.

Nan Xiangwan tried hard to learn every day, but many things were obscure and difficult to understand, so she asked questions several times.

Zuo Zhiye completely ignored her and continued talking to himself…

Having no other choice, Nan Xiangwan gritted her teeth and learned, managing to master the basics of bandaging.

She also finished reading the herbal medicine book her uncle had given her and learned about some plants that could be used directly in the wild.

A few days later, one night, Teng Shihai found Xiao Yudi.

“Cuckoo!”

Nan Xiangwan opened her eyes and calmly glanced at the time on her phone.

1 a.m.

“Cuckoo!”

Nan Xiangwan dressed quickly and nimbly climbed out the window: “A mission?”

Xiao Yudi smiled mischievously: “It’s not a mission, I’m just passing on a message to you.”

Nan Xiangwan: “Why didn’t you say so earlier? What’s with the cuckoo cuckoo?”

Xiao Yudi: “The sound of crickets signals a mission, and the sound of cuckoos signals conversation!”

Nan Xiangwan was speechless for a moment, then patted his sleeve: “What message are you passing on? Who are you passing on a message for? Can I not go?”

Xiao Yudi: “That won’t do. Commander Han Ting specifically instructed that this matter must be resolved.”

Upon hearing that it was an order from her own military region commander, Nan Xiangwan immediately took it seriously and followed Xiao Yudi.

As they walked, she realized that the two were heading towards the cafeteria.

Nan Xiangwan: “Could it be that Commander Guan Fei invited us to dinner in the middle of the night?”

Xiao Yudi: “Huh? How did you know!”

Nan Xiangwan: “How can I not go? I have an early class tomorrow! Besides, I’ve tried all the food in the cafeteria, and there’s nothing good at this time of day. It’s all leftovers from the daytime, cold, and some have even been reheated. It’s really not tasty.”

Xiao Yudi: “Don’t be picky. The commander said others can refuse, but you have to go!”

Nan Xiangwan arrived at the cafeteria with a belly full of questions and found that members from grades 20 and 21 were all there.

It was quite lively. The cafeteria staff were preparing food and drinks, and a group of people had pushed long tables together and sat down to chat.

Guan Fei sat at the front of the table, expressionless as he looked at the group of people who resembled both soldiers and bandits.

After the last overseas mission ended, it was extremely rare for everyone to gather together like this again. Immediately, their Honey Badger looked at Commander Guan Fei with pity in her eyes.

Seriously, you’re so pitiful, your power has been stripped away to the point that all you have left is the Midnight Diner?

After Nan Xiangwan and Xiao Yudi took their seats, everyone was present.

The cafeteria worker banged his rice bowl loudly behind me: “Get your own food, we won’t serve it to you!”

Everyone looked at Guan Fei; they dared not eat unless their superior gave the order.

Guan Fei made a serious hand gesture, and immediately all 54 people jumped up and rushed towards the uncle to grab the food.

Each person had a basin, and the honey badger’s basin was the biggest!

Everyone sat down and started eating freely. Guan Fei gave a forced smile and said, “Don’t eat too much.”

Upon hearing this, everyone knew that there were more activities to come, either a big mission or a big feast.

So, several competitive eaters, including Honey Badger, immediately ate only one bowl and didn’t order a second one.

The cafeteria worker, a cigarette dangling from his lips, watched the group of young people with a smile, saying nothing.

After everyone had finished eating, Guan Fei stood up and took a case of foreign liquor from the cafeteria worker’s window.

The wine he specifically chose was a type that overseas people often drank, and it was not expensive.

Xiao Yudi sat up straight and said, “Sir! I prefer drinking beer.”

Bing Yan: “I love drinking baijiu (Chinese liquor).”

Butterfly: “Yellow wine is absolutely wonderful!”

Wushuang: “Doesn’t anyone like cooking wine?”

Everyone: “Hahaha!”

Nan Xiangwan looked down at her rice bowl, regretting that she hadn’t eaten more, since she couldn’t drink alcohol.

Guan Fei glanced at the group, then slammed the case of liquor onto the table: “One by one, today’s task is to practice your drinking capacity!”

Nan Xiangwan’s eyes widened. What?

Oh no, does that mean she’ll be last?

Shura was the first to stand up, radiating an aura of victory as he walked to the table: “I can drink a whole bottle of pure liquor.”

Guan Fei took out a whole bottle and opened it for him: “Here!”

Shura rolled up his sleeves and started guzzling the drink into his mouth, not leaving a single drop. A chorus of cheers erupted around him, the sound echoing throughout the entire cafeteria hall.

The uncle in the kitchen watched the spectacle with great interest.

As expected of a war god-level figure in the military region, after finishing a whole bottle of baijiu, his face turned red, but he still stood straight and steady.

Guan Fei pointed to the gate in the distance: “200-meter speed test! Begin!”

He dashed off like a cannonball, but under the influence of alcohol, he couldn’t quite grasp how far two hundred meters was, and disappeared into the night, not returning for five minutes.

Wushuang almost collapsed on the table laughing: “What the hell? Hahaha!”

Guan Fei: “Send someone to bring him back.”

No sooner had he finished speaking than Shura returned, staggering and seeing stars.

Guan Fei found it amusing and pointed to a seat in the distance: “That’s good, you’ve passed.”

Shura immediately collapsed to the ground, reeking of alcohol.

Canghai adopted a mocking tone: “If you can’t do it, you can’t do it. Why do you have to drink a whole bottle?”

Shura wanted to stand up and refute, but he simply couldn’t. He closed his eyes and felt a dizzying sensation as the world spun around him.

The first alcohol tolerance test was complete. Now it was time to continue, whether it was one person or multiple people competing.

Before long, the entire cafeteria hall resembled a wolf’s den, with everyone so drunk they were unrecognizable, wailing and howling like ghosts.

The rice bowl became a drum, and the chopsticks became mallets; they banged and beat the drum, making a loud clanging sound!

Once these elite soldiers got drunk, the courage they usually suppressed burst forth.

Xiao Yudi even rolled up his sleeves and started taunting Guan Fei: “Sir, you’re the only one who hasn’t drunk yet. You have to drink today, you have to be knocked out!”

Guan Fei looked at him coldly, then slapped him away.

Xiao Yudi dramatically fell to the ground, writhing like a maggot: “Waaaaah! I got hit! My leg is broken! Waaaaah!”

Bing Yan couldn’t bear to look at it any longer, so he dragged him to a chair next to him and hung him there.

Some people were excessively drunk, while others were drunk but still maintained at least a basic level of rationality. Fortunately, the situation was under control, and the superior’s orders still carried weight.

Finally, Guan Fei’s gaze fell on Nan Xiangwan, who was sitting in the corner: “You, drink!”

Nan Xiangwan smiled awkwardly, stood up and walked forward, her steps feeling as heavy as if she were facing death.
