Not long after, Lin Yi returned to the study with a strange expression: “The young master went straight back to his bedroom on the third floor and didn’t go anywhere.”

Luo Jingyuan asked in surprise: “He’s not going to the Tang family to look for Tang Ran?”

“That doesn’t seem to be the case at all.”

“This… has he really grown up and is now listening to me?”

Lin Yi hesitated: “Maybe, right?”

Mr. Luo thought for a moment and said, “No, I’m still worried. Find a few more people to guard his bedroom for me. Let them take turns on duty tomorrow and send him three meals a day. When Tang Ran’s birthday party at the Tang family is over, then let him out.”

“Yes, old sir.”

The next day, it was Tang Ran’s birthday.

Contrary to Luo Jingyuan and Lin Yi’s expectations, Luo Zhan was actually very cooperative and did not even resist being completely confined to the room.

However, the more abnormal he behaved, the more uneasy the old man became.

So an extra team of security was added outside Luo Zhan’s bedroom door – if seen by an outsider who didn’t know the situation, they would probably think they were guarding some extremely vicious criminal.

When dinner was served, Luo Zhan went to the bedroom door to receive it and witnessed the “grand scene” outside his door with his own eyes.

Young Master Luo smiled coldly, took the lunch box and leaned against the door: “It’s inconvenient to monitor through the door, how about you all come in and sleep on the floor of my bedroom tonight?”

The leader smiled awkwardly: “Sorry, young master. We are just following the old man’s orders. I hope you can understand.”

“I understand. Of course I understand.”

Luo Zhan took a step back and kicked the outer door, which leaned against the magnet at the back of the wall and stopped in the wide open position.

Facing the stunned security guard, Luo Zhan smiled lazily: “I won’t close the door when I go to bed tonight. I won’t close the outer door or the inner door. Is that considerate enough?”

“…”

The security guard was flattered.

Luo Zhan walked back listlessly, carrying the lunch box.

Luo Zhan designed his own bedroom style. Except for the bathroom, there were no walls, only bookshelves filled with heavy books as partitions.

So looking from the open door of the outer room, the security guards could vaguely see Luo Zhan’s floor-length bed and his work desk and chair through the bookshelves filled with books.

After entering the inner room separated by a large bookshelf, Luo Zhan seemed to have thought of something, and walked out from between the two large bookshelves, half-leaning on the bookshelf with a lazy look:

“Oh, by the way. I’m going to watch some R18 movies tonight. Since you guys don’t plan to come in and monitor me, you can just listen outside.”

Security guards: “……?”

Originally, the security guards thought Luo Zhan was just joking.

They never expected that not long after, some blushing and blood-boosting sounds actually began to be heard from behind the bookshelf that had almost no soundproofing effect and in front of a desk where a figure was vaguely sitting.

Standing outside the door, the security personnel from the same team all looked embarrassed, their eyes met and then avoided, and they had no intention of monitoring at all.

The leader had no choice but to bite the bullet and whisper, “You guys, keep an eye on him first. I’ll go down and talk to Steward Lin.”

“Yes, Captain.”

After the captain finished speaking, he ran downstairs as if fleeing.

Lin Y was in the dining room, having just finished dinner with Mr. Luo.

After hearing the security captain’s hesitant report, both of them were stunned. After several seconds, Lin Yi turned to Mr. Luo in disbelief and said, “Isn’t today… Miss Tang Ran’s birthday?”

Mr. Luo’s face was as black as charcoal.

Lin Yi didn’t know whether to laugh or cry: “I thought the young master would at least try to call Tang Ran, but I kept his phone and he didn’t even mention it. He is actually watching a movie in the house?”

Mr. Luo originally looked so angry that he wanted to curse, but as time passed second by second, Lin Yi fell silent, and his expression gradually became calm.

Then it turned solemn.

After a moment, Mr. Luo said, “This is too abnormal.”

Lin Yi: “It’s so abnormal, like he took the wrong medicine.”

Old man: “Will he suddenly become stupid in an emergency?”

Lin Yi: “Young Master? He only makes others do stupid things.”

Old man: “…”

Lin Yi: “…”

Two seconds later, Lin Yi’s face suddenly changed, and he ran out: “I’ll go upstairs and take a look!”

Mr. Luo’s face flushed red, and he seemed to be very angry and wanted to say something. The security captain waited by the side without daring to breathe, watching in confusion and anxiety.

He knew that something might have gone wrong with the young master, but he didn’t know what it was – and without Old Master Luo’s order, he dared not act rashly.

The silence in the dining room did not last long, as the sound of a commotion outside the building came back through the rose window on one side.

The security captain was shocked.

His microphone soon rang. He picked up the Bluetooth headset and listened for two seconds. His face then suddenly changed: “Old man, the young master, he seemed to have jumped out of the back window on the third floor at some point – the people at the back door of the house are trying to stop him, but maybe… they can’t stop him.”

After hearing what the security team captain said, Mr. Luo didn’t seem surprised at all.

He just sighed slowly: “One more troublesome kid than the other.”

After Mr. Luo finished his sigh, Lin Yi appeared outside the dining room, panting. He strode in, walked quickly to Mr. Luo’s side, and handed the things in his hand under the old man’s eyes.

“Old sir, this is the note left by the young master.”

Luo Jingyuan said nothing but glanced at it with his eyelids drooped.

There were only two sentences on it.

[You are right.]

[But I just can’t bear to see her suffer any injustice.]
