It was already past midnight when Luo Mi saw the demon Anos’s eyes turn crimson again.

This was the worst sexual encounter Luo Mi had ever experienced.

Despite having witnessed it up close before, the God’s Heart was simultaneously constrained and hesitant to let go, yet also recklessly and uncontrollably pushing forward, leaving Luo Mi often in a state of exhaustion, pain, and exhilaration.

Luo Mi thought that angels could learn everything very quickly, but he didn’t expect that the God’s Heart was even worse than the first Holy Son in this regard.

Fortunately, succubi have a racial advantage, allowing them to derive pleasure from even the most brutal treatment.

The God’s Heart felt deeply apologetic about this: “I’m sorry, I was nervous.”

Luo Mi comforted him instead: “It’s okay, it’s your first time…it was your first time, right?”

The God’s Heart nodded, his expression even looking somewhat docile, completely concealing how fierce he had been just moments before.

Luo Mi felt like he was comforting a child. He rubbed his head and suddenly asked curiously, “You’ve never met someone you liked before?”

This wasn’t jealousy; it was purely Luo Mi’s curiosity— the God’s Heart was top-notch in appearance, character, and even the persona he created, and he had descended to the mortal realm several times. Luo Mi certainly wouldn’t believe that no one had ever pursued him.

The God’s Heart shook his head: “I am rather indifferent to emotions. This is how God created me from the beginning.”

His gaze fell on Luo Mi, a hint of a smile appearing in his silvery eyes, “The favorability of different fragments of my soul is shared.”

Luo Mi understood what he meant: it was because Black and White Anos had developed feelings for him that the God’s Heart had also developed feelings for him.

Thinking of this, Luo Mi suddenly remembered something: the completion status of his mission to seduce Anos into corruption hadn’t changed yet!

Previously, when he slept with the demon Anos, the system notified him that his progress increased by 1; the progress of the Holy Son Anos also increased by 1 when he turned into a fallen angel during the Holy City upheaval; if the God’s Heart was also considered Anos, when would this quest’s progress increase?

Luo Mi considered for a moment, then asked, “If there’s one thing that could make you ‘fall’, what would it be?”

The God’s Heart was first surprised, then frowned slightly: “Who asked you to ask?”

Luo Mi was taken aback, not expecting the God’s Heart to be so perceptive. So he chuckled dryly, “I was just asking… why would you think that?”

The eyes of the God’s Heart were fixed on Luo Mi, but the voice was not forceful: “Your target has always been my remnant souls.”

To the Holy Son, Luo Mi’s appearance seemed perfectly normal; to the demon, he only saw a part of it. But to the God’s Heart, who knew Luo Mi came from another world and could observe this world through Anos’s eyes, all of Luo Mi’s actions were crystal clear.

Luo Mi blushed with shame and guilt at the thought that the God’s Heart had witnessed all his foolish deeds. Just as he hesitated about whether to tell the God’s Heart about the system’s existence, he heard it continue:

“I’m not blaming you. The person who gave you this task is probably a god, I’m just guessing, did he want me to ‘fall’?”

What could Luo Mi say? He could only nod.

The God’s Heart tilted his head, his silver-white hair cascading down the bed like a waterfall. His expression was restrained, gentle, and focused. “I don’t know what his purpose is, but ‘fallen’ is based on God’s words, so it seems to express ‘distancing oneself from God’s will’.”

“Away from the will of God…” Luo Mi pondered the word and suddenly understood why the moment when the Holy Son Anos was inexplicably considered to have fallen was: because the divine power in the Holy Son had been drained, he was naturally considered to have strayed from God.

Why did the demon Anos just sleep with someone and then leave? Was Anos previously all alone because he was following the will of the gods?

Luo Mi thought for a while, then his gaze fell on the God’s Heart.

If there was no problems with this task, it means that the God’s Heart is still following God’s will in some ways?

Luo Mi’s mind immediately went into overdrive— after all, the God’s Heart was an angel created by God, so it was perfectly reasonable for God to have done something to it!

He hesitated for a moment, then said to the God’s Heart, “What if I wanted you to fall?”

The God’s Heart looked at him, and the corners of her lips curled up slightly: “Okay.”

Luo Mi had gradually gained the ability to understand the meaning behind the brief words of the God’s Heart, and couldn’t help but laugh: “Then you wait for me.”

….

The moment the consciousness of the God’s Heart left, the gentle and tender expression on his face instantly turned cold, and he stared at Luo Mi without saying a word.

Luo Mi lay on the bed, lazily propping himself up, when he was bitten hard by the demon Anos.

Luo Mi was in a highly sensitive state after the event, and he immediately let out an “Ah!”

The demon Anos softened his grip and reluctantly released his shoulder.

Luo Mi knew he was unhappy about his account being logged out, so he couldn’t help but laugh and rub his wet forehead against his chest: “Want to go again?”

Succubi are like fields that can never be ruined.

The demon Anos snorted twice: “You said that on purpose while I was in refractory time?”

“The Holy Son can fire in rapid succession…” Luo Mi wisely refrained from saying this aloud. Instead he reached out and combed the demon Anos’s hair, asking curiously, “When he was on top of me, did you feel anything?”

The demon Anos said with a dark face, “No.”

Luo Mi comforted him, “It’s okay, we’ll play secretly again next time.”

The demon Anos grabbed his hand, his expression shifting from gloomy to cheerful: “You said it yourself, don’t regret it.”

Luo Mi thought to himself, “What could I possibly regret about you, a fragile mage?” and readily agreed.

The two lingered intimately by the papal throne for a while before getting down to business.

The demon Anos cleansed their bodies with a divine spell: “With me here, you can try to upgrade your physique without worry.”

Luo Mi nodded: “Now?”

The demon Anos glared at him: “Weren’t you just full?”

Luo Mi chuckled dryly, walked to the table, and picked up the dragon scale and blood vial: “Swallow them raw?”

He actually knew there were several divine arts that could absorb the power here, but he still asked out of habit.

“Use ‘decompose’ and then ‘digest’ it together with the succubus power within you.”

Luo Mi nodded, exchanged a glance with the demon Anos, and holy light emanated from his hand, enveloping the dragon scales and blood vial.

Two powers from the Demon Lord entered Luo Mi’s body, merging with the power of the Zixiang Lord that had been unsealed within him, and then fusing with his body.

Taking this opportunity, Luo Mi saw the current “state” of his body:

The holy light, representing the power of angels, contracted and expanded in a vast and irregular manner. In front of this holy light, three tiny droplets of light, as small as raindrops, formed a triangle, preventing the holy light from absorbing Luo Mi’s soul.

These were symbolic images that divine magic had materialized into the state of Luo Mi’s body. As expected, Luo Mi breathed a sigh of relief: as expected, he had always been in a precarious balance.

When the power of the three demon lords surged in, something unexpected happened to Luo Mi: the three powers did not reinforce the three low-level demonic physiques that had previously supported Luo Mi’s soul, but instead directly merged into the holy light that represented the power of God!

The ball of holy light writhed and churned, soon bursting forth with orange-red flames, before transforming into a gigantic fireball!

The fireball plummeted rapidly, breaking through the pillars formed by the low-level demonic physique and enveloping Luo Mi’s soul.

For a moment, Luo Mi thought his soul was about to be burned to ashes or brainwashed by the God, but he soon found that his consciousness was intact. Not only that, a warm current flowed in, filling his soul and making him feel like a shining sun!

The power of the fusion of angel and demon power was finally fully integrated into his soul, becoming an integral part of him. At this moment, Luo Mi could sense every ball of holy light and every flame around him, as if he could command those lights and flames at will, without needing the power of the Scepter of Glory.

He even sensed a vast, immense “sacred fire” in the distant sky, so intense that anyone who approached it would be burned to ashes— and it seemed that he could leap directly up there with a mere thought.

If Luo Mi were to observe his own soul from a third-person perspective at this moment, he would find that his soul has turned orange-red and has a pair of wings made of flames on his back.

He had truly become a Seraph[1].

….

The flames of the candles lit inside St. Paul’s Cathedral suddenly shot up.

The priest next to him was stunned for a moment, thinking there was something wrong with the candle. He quickly took out a new one and was about to go and replace it when he saw that the flame that had been shooting up had returned to normal, but the other candle was shooting up.

Over the next few minutes, the candle flames in the church flickered, startling the priest and giving him a sense of absurdity: the flickering of these flames was quite rhythmic… if the flames were piano keys, it was as if someone was playing the piano.

….

A believer who was praying in front of a huge cross at home, wishing to become rich this year, suddenly had a premonition and opened his eyes— the holy light on the cross shone and condensed into the human form of an angel.

The believer stared blankly at the angel, his face beaming with ecstatic joy. Just as he was about to kiss the floor to thank God for His favor, he saw the angel’s phantom turn into a coin and fall to the ground with a “clatter.”

The believer picked up the coin blankly, looking at the design and denomination that did not belong to any principality or empire with a puzzled expression, and fell into self-doubt: Is this his sudden wealth?

….

Having had enough fun, Luo Mi finally pulled his consciousness back to his body.

After the unexpected upgrade in his physique, he had become a unified whole, no longer having various mixed physical constitutions.

But unexpectedly, Luo Mi still saw a drop of “water”.

That was the power of the “Phantom” during the first upgrade.

The powers of both the succubus and the fire demon were integrated into Luo Mi’s soul, leaving only this “phantom” floating alone to the side. If Luo Mi wished, he could easily destroy this power.

But Luo Mi’s heart stirred slightly. Instead of destroying it, he transformed it into a transparent feather and let it grow on his back.

After becoming a Seraph, his intuition became even sharper— this seemingly insignificant power of illusion might bring about wondrous effects in the future.

Luo Mi opened his eyes and saw the demon Anos standing in front of him.

This time, he “saw” the state of the demon Anos— a fragmented soul huddled inside the demon lord’s body, held together by two transparent threads that stretched into the void.

Although his soul was split, it was still connected to other remnant souls? Then these two are the Holy Son and the God’s Heart respectively… Luo Mi nodded to himself, but suddenly felt something was wrong: If that’s the case, then Anos only has these three remnant souls?

Why is his task progress still showing as (2/???)? Shouldn’t it be (2/3)?

Luo Mi frowned slightly, deciding to confirm with the God’s Heart again next time.

The demon Anos stood there, his eyes filled with a complex mix of anger and resentment: “You’re stronger than me now.”

Luo Mi coughed and casually comforted him, “If you merge, you’ll be stronger than me.”

Unlike before, the demon Anos did not immediately refute, but instead fell silent for a moment before saying, “What do you plan to do next? Go find the Eternal Fence?”

Luo Mi nodded: “I sensed a power in the sky just now, it should be the Eternal Fence, I plan to go and take a look first.”

The demon Anos nodded: “Be careful.”

“Well, there are no plans to reclaim the Eternal Fence yet, and the Light Domain Barrier can’t be dismantled right now.” Luo Mi understood what the demon meant. “What about you?”

“I need to continue searching for the Chosen Ones.” The demon Anos’s blood-red eyes were utterly calm. “Now my only concern is whether the Church has missed any Chosen Ones in its search.”

“Don’t worry about that.” Luo Mi was very confident about it. “I can confirm it for you.”

He also had a mission to find the Chosen Ones— a mission that was confirmed when he last reviewed the Church’s report on the collection of Chosen Ones: he didn’t need to actually meet the Chosen Ones; as long as he could obtain information about them, he would have found one!

Once the total number of tasks changes from a question mark to a definite number, it would mean that all the chosen ones have been found!
