In the silence of the night, Luo Mi could hear his own accelerated heartbeat.

He felt a strange chill on his legs that were entangled by the shadow, as if he was being slowly swallowed by a giant python. The muscles in the python’s mouth squeezed his calves, preventing the prey from escaping.

Luo Mi laughed dryly and instantly realized the other party’s identity: “I did it according to your request.”

The shadow in front of him sneered, “Really? What’s up with those magic arrays?”

“Just to guard against some unexpected events, accidents…”

Shadow asked, “My name is Accident?”

Luo Mi couldn’t help but curl the corners of his mouth, but then he realized that the situation was not right and quickly smoothed it out: “It doesn’t affect you.”

The cold anger in the shadow became even stronger, and the black shadow wrapped around Luo Mi’s legs spread upwards a little, passing over Luo Mi’s knees and touching his thighs.

“The fate of those who betray me is usually not good.”

Luo Mi shouted out his loyalty: “I want to drag the other you into depravity!”

There were just too many unexpected events these days and he didn’t take care of them.

The shadow squirmed, becoming a bit more human-like. Two red lights appeared where its eyes were. It stared at Luo Mi and sneered, “You? Drag him into depravity?”

Luo Mi suddenly had an idea and thought of a perfect reason: “It’s just that I don’t know much about your relationship with him, so I didn’t act rashly… If you are willing to tell me, I can cooperate better, right?”

The shadow did not answer his question immediately. Instead, Luo Mi’s own shadow climbed up from behind him and held Luo Mi in his arms as if with pity. He lifted Luo Mi’s chin with his “right hand” and forced him to look directly at the black shadow in front of him.

After a moment, Shadow sneered again: “It seems that you are on his side and don’t want me to kill him.”

Luo Mi said righteously: “How is it possible? I am a devil!”

“Traitor.” The shadow used one word to define Luo Mi, and the sticky black shadows that devoured Luo Mi like snakes spread upwards again.

However, Luo Mi keenly noticed that the speed at which those shadows spread upwards was much slower than before. Rather than punishing him, it seemed more like they were waiting for him to beg for mercy.

It turned out that the evil version of Anos liked this tune… Luo Mi seemed to understand something, and cooperated with the shadow and begged for mercy, and finally the shadow took pity and stopped.

When Luo Mi asked again about the relationship between Shadow and Anos himself, Shadow finally stopped being mysterious and simply answered: “As you can see, I am his shadow.”

Luo Mi wanted to touch his chin out of habit, but unfortunately both his arms were firmly held by his own shadow: “What does shadow mean?”

“The pure and noble Son of God will naturally live forever in a bright world without haze and sin.” Shadow’s voice was tinged with a sharp chill. “Naturally, there are other people who help him bear this.”

Luo Mi was stunned: “You mean… Anos himself will not fall?”

Shadow’s red pupils emitted a light full of malice and ridicule in the deep night: “Of course not. All the depraved thoughts of the pious Son of God are like mist on the surface of a mirror, which will disappear with a light touch.”

And the destination of these thoughts was naturally the shadow cast by the light.

Luo Mi’s expression was a little confused: “So, everything I did before had no effect?”

Whether it was tempting Anos to indulge in pleasure or trying to make him see the darkness of this world, it won’t work? It was not that the direction was wrong, but that Anos himself was naturally a pure angel?

At this moment, Luo Mi suddenly thought of Anos when the “Angel Descended”, sacred and distant, like a saint who truly listened to the will of God, with neither selfish desires nor personal feelings.

“See? If you want to drag him into the darkness, the only way is for me to take his place.”

Shadow’s voice sounded in Luo Mi’s ears. The tone was not as cold as before. Instead, it carried a hint of tenderness, like the whisper of a lover. Luo Mi fell in a trance and instinctively wanted to agree.

Shadow smiled silently and continued, “No matter what your purpose is, when I replace him and destroy this hypocritical world, you will be the biggest contributor. Even my other subordinates can only…”

Luo Mi suddenly shuddered, came out of that trance, and blurted out: “Do you have anyone else? Get rid of them all!”

Shadow’s words were interrupted by this unexpected development, and he was unable to continue for a moment.

When Luo Mi thought of Anos – no matter which version of Anos having other subordinates besides him, his excessive possessiveness suddenly took effect. He didn’t care whether his life was in danger or not and angrily accused: “Scumbag! Traitor! Stay away from others…”

The shadow didn’t say anything, but its shape twisted slightly and then quickly returned to normal.

After Luo Mi scolded him, he suddenly realized what he was doing. His eyes went dark and cold sweat instantly seeped out of his forehead. He said dryly: “I, I can explain…”

Shadow stared at him with red pupils, surprisingly not angry: “Did you drink Zixiang’s blood?”

Luo Mi was startled: “Who?”

The system just urgently advised the host not to provoke the enemy, but unfortunately the host above couldn’t stop him. Seeing that the host had calmed down, the system quickly provided its own information support:

[Lord Zixiang, one of the five demon lords in the Demon Realm, his race is succubus.]

“Lord Zixiang?” Luo Mi looked at Shadow in confusion, “How did you know?”

The shadow floated back and sat down, speaking in a calm tone: “Succubus are a race of demons that like to share, with only a few exceptions. Among these few exceptions, Zixiang is the most exceptional one – she is extremely possessive and jealous, and every succubus who has drunk her blood will be affected by her and develop similar emotions that do not belong to them.”

Luo Mi’s mind flashed with thoughts such as “How could an imperial beverage like Green Water be connected to the Demon Lord?” and “Can this influence be removed by the magic of the Church?” In the end, all of them were occupied by one thought: “What is your relationship with Lord Zixiang?!”

The shadow went silent for a moment, and when the voice sounded again, it was cold: “If you can’t control it anymore, I will help you control it.”

The temperature in the room suddenly dropped a lot.

Luo Mi laughed dryly and moved his arms to show that his arms were tied and he couldn’t move.

His shadow loosened his left hand.

Luo Mi quickly covered his mouth, indicating that he could definitely control himself.

Shadow then snorted coldly: “The last time I saw you, you hadn’t drunk Zixiang’s blood yet. What happened?”

Luo Mi was stunned again.

He suddenly realized his misunderstanding: it turned out that the shadow did not share cognition with Anos!

If it wasn’t impossible, Luo Mi would have regretted it so much that he wanted to slap his thigh – if he had known this would happen, he would have directly blamed Reinhardt for setting up so many magic arrays in the room!

Realizing that Shadow’s gaze had become a little more dangerous, Luo Mi quickly put aside unnecessary thoughts and told the story of Green Water.

Shadow leaned on the sofa, pondered for a moment, and suddenly sneered: “No wonder Zixiang has been hiding in her territory all these years.”
