Xue Xiaoxiao hadn’t expected Yang Zicong to be alright, and she felt a little uneasy. However, thinking of Yang Zicong’s special treatment of her, she was still confident that she could calm his anger.

As for the others, it had nothing to do with her.

Thinking of how Yang Zicong could easily tear open the shutter door, Xue Xiaoxiao was very excited.

Unfortunately, the person standing at the door was not Yang Zicong, but 666.

Seeing a woman rushing towards him, 666 clenched his right fist, and his three claws flashed with a cold light.

He then clawed at Xue Xiaoxiao without hesitation when she rushed over. The claws cut the woman into four pieces from top to bottom.

Blood gushed out, and 666 quickly retreated, not a drop of blood splashing on his body.

Everyone was stunned by 666.

666 looked at the woman lying on the ground, cut into pieces, with disdain, mainly because of the blood on the ground. He then looked up nonchalantly.

The person 666 was looking at felt his legs weaken and fell to his knees.

“Boss, spare me, boss, spare me. I didn’t mean to throw you out. It was all Cheng Hai’s fault. Yes, it was Cheng Hai.”

“Yes, yes, it was Cheng Hai. It was all Cheng Hai, boss. It was Cheng Hai’s fault. It has nothing to do with us.”

Seeing the two of them pale with fear, 666 raised his lips in satisfaction: “Don’t worry, come one by one. None of you can escape.”

….

The captains of classes two to ten were all former teammates of Zhang Zhongmin.

Jian Yiluan had already conveyed Fu Ke’s request to them. Those who had been locked up in the classroom were also moved to the couples’ dormitory because that was the only place with space to accommodate those who were unconscious and feverish.

The nine captains gathered together to discuss Fu Ke’s demand.

Xiao Bin thought of Fu Ke’s selfishness and shook his head. “I don’t agree with Fu Ke taking the squad leader away. He’s unconscious now, so he might not turn into a zombie. As long as he doesn’t, we must ensure his safety.”

Liu Guo’an glanced at Xiao Bin. “Actually, I think Fu Ke might be able to help the squad leader. Wasn’t Lu Xun able to get out of trouble earlier thanks to Fu Ke’s help?”

“Liu Guo’an!” Xiao Bin said with a sullen face. “Even if Fu Ke helped Lu Xun, how well do you know her? Can you be sure she took the squad leader away to help him?”

Deng Wencong rubbed his head. “I think Fu Ke is a nice person. She’ll probably help the squad leader.”

The others nodded. Although they hadn’t had much contact with Fu Ke, they all had a good impression of her.

Of the ten squad leaders, only Zhang Zhongmin from Squad One had the most contact with Fu Ke, followed by Liu Guo’an from Squad Two and Xiao Bin from Squad Three.

Deng Wencong from Squad Four had also had some contact with Fu Ke, but not much.

The others had even less contact with him.

“Why don’t we ask Lu Xun for his opinion?” Liu Dazhi, the monitor of Class 5, suggested.

‘Knock knock knock.’

There was a knock on the door.

‘Click.’ Before anyone could react, the door opened. Fu Ke leaned against the doorway, her arms folded across her chest.

Seeing Fu Ke, Xiao Bin’s expression changed.

“Sorry to bother you. But I think Squad Leader Xiao should go check on his girlfriend,” Fu Ke said with a smile.

“What do you mean?” Xiao Bin looked at Fu Ke warily. Was Fu Ke trying to threaten him with Du Weiwei?

Fu Ke shrugged. “Nothing serious. I just saw your girlfriend holding a knife and walking towards the room you’ve put Zhang Zhongmin in.”

Back in the dormitory, there were more empty rooms in the couples’ dormitory, so Zhang Zhongmin was put in a separate room.

“What?” Liu Guo’an frowned, noticing that Fu Ke mentioned holding a knife!

“She must have been passing by over there,” Deng Wencong couldn’t help but say, thinking Fu Ke might be overthinking things.

But Xiao Bin’s expression darkened even further. He suddenly remembered the uncontrollable smile Du Weiwei had worn when she’d heard Zhang Zhongmin was unconscious and feverish.

His head exploded, and he bolted for the exit.

The others looked around and followed, finding Xiao Bin’s attitude odd.

Fu Ke followed slowly out. She hadn’t witnessed it herself but rather saw it with her mind. This Du Weiwei actually wanted to kill Zhang Zhongmin.

How had Zhang Zhongmin offended her?

Du Weiwei’s lips curled slightly as she walked over to the room where Zhang Zhongmin lay and opened the door. She glanced at the pale figure lying in the room, her grip on the dagger slightly tightening.

She didn’t know if Zhang Zhongmin would become a zombie or a superpowered being, but that didn’t matter. If she killed him, Zhang Zhongmin would be gone from this world.

The squad leaders were all in a meeting, so now was the perfect time for her to act.

Du Weiwei’s lips curled slightly as she quietly entered, knife in hand. She lowered her eyes and looked at the person lying on the bed: “Who told you to target me?”

So, you deserve to die!

Du Weiwei’s expression twisted slightly. She then looked at the dagger in her hand. The length of the dagger could completely penetrate through Zhang Zhongmin’s neck. She felt vaguely excited.

Chen Meijia, Feng Han. She remembered these two people very clearly.

Oh, and Fu Ke!

When Du Weiwei thought about the tenderness that Brother Long had shown her, and how he had now given it all to Fu Ke, she felt so uncomfortable that she couldn’t breathe. That was something that belonged to her, why should she give it to someone else?

She didn’t dare to gamble, so she didn’t dare to go to Brother Long now. But it’s okay, when Fu Ke dies, everything will return to normal.

The first person to be dealt with was Zhang Zhongmin.

She would definitely find an opportunity to deal with these people one by one. Du Weiwei’s eyes flashed with excitement, and she slowly raised the dagger with both hands.

“Stop!” Xiao Bin was the first to arrive here. When he saw the scene inside, his heart suddenly rose to his throat. He quickly rushed in and grabbed Du Weiwei’s hand.

Du Weiwei’s face darkened. “You…” Wasn’t Xiao Bin supposed to be in a meeting with those people right now? How could he be here?

Liu Guo’an and the others arrived shortly after, their faces darkening at the sight. A sense of dread washed over them. If Du Weiwei had struck that blow, the squad leader would have been finished.

“Xiao Bin, you need to give us an explanation for this!” Liu Guo’an raged.

“It seems like this place is truly unsafe.” Fu Ke glanced at them. “If I hadn’t warned you, Squad Leader Zhang would probably be… Tsk, tsk, tsk.”

Fu Ke shook her head with regret, as if she had already anticipated what would have happened to Zhang Zhongmin if she hadn’t noticed in time.

Even without Fu Ke’s words, they could probably guess it.

Liu Guo’an turned to Fu Ke. “Miss Fu, I’m not smart, but I’m not stupid either. I know you’re not just anybody, so please help the squad leader.”

Deng Wencong opened his mouth, as if about to say something, but nothing came out.

“No!” Du Weiwei screamed.

“Shut up!” Xiao Bin snatched the dagger from Du Weiwei’s hand and glared at her darkly. Then he said to them, “I’ll keep an eye on Du Weiwei and won’t let her get close to the squad leader. But I still don’t agree to handing her over to Fu Ke.”

At this moment, Xiao Bin felt like killing Du Weiwei, but after all, she was still his girlfriend. Weiwei wasn’t like this before. Xiao Bin didn’t know if he hadn’t noticed Du Weiwei’s true face, or if she had somehow changed.

Regardless, he barely recognized her now.

Liu Dazhi, the squad leader of Class 5, sneered, “If it weren’t for Fu Ke, your girlfriend would have killed the squad leader with a single blow. Xiao Bin, does your girlfriend have a grudge against the squad leader, or did you instigate this?”

“What are you talking about!” Xiao Bin’s eyes flared at Liu Dazhi’s suspicion.

Liu Guo’an looked at Xiao Bin coldly, “Let’s vote. We don’t have time to protect the squad leader 24/7. Those who agree to let Fu Ke take the squad leader away, raise your hands. Those who disagree, don’t raise your hands.”

Suddenly, everyone except Xiao Bin raised their hands.

Fu Ke stood aside and watched. It was undeniable that this group of people had begun to feel resentful towards Xiao Bin because they had seen Du Weiwei trying to kill Zhang Zhongmin. She had also used her mental power to increase their trust in her.

She looked at Xiao Bin with a smile.

Xiao Bin’s mind went blank.

Du Weiwei glanced at Fu Ke, her eyes flickering slightly. But at this moment, she sensed that everyone was dissatisfied with her and did not dare to speak.

Xiao Bin’s words that he would keep an eye on her in the future did not mean that she would be fine.

Du Weiwei sipped her lips and secretly felt that she had been too careless. But it didn’t matter, as long as Xiao Bin could protect her. As long as there was time, there was a chance.

So Du Weiwei lowered her eyes, stood there with her eyes fixed on her nose and her nose watching her heart. Such that no one could see what she was thinking.

Liu Guo’an breathed a sigh of relief and looked at Fu Ke seriously: “Fu Ke, I’m leaving the squad leader in your hands.”

“I will do my best to help him, but I can’t guarantee that I can give you a lively Zhang Zhongmin in return.” Fu Ke could only try her best.

If Zhang Zhongmin really turned into a zombie… Fu Ke considered the pile of first-level crystal cores in her space and realized it wouldn’t allow Zhang Zhongmin to regain consciousness all at once.

So, if Zhang Zhongmin didn’t survive and turned into a zombie, and the base couldn’t function without him, Fu Ke thought she might move.

Squad 8’s monitor, Ban Dingshan, looked at Fu Ke and said, “Can we visit the monitor anytime?”

Fu Ke glanced out the window at the seemingly unending rain and said with a half-smile, “I don’t mind. Come whenever you want.”

Liu Guo’an, carrying Zhang Zhongmin on his back, went with Fu Ke to the Exclusive Restaurant. With Fu Ke’s wilful presence, they were completely shielded from the rain.

Carrying Zhang Zhongmin on his back, Liu Guo’an could feel the intense heat penetrating his clothes. So he couldn’t help but ask, “Fu Ke, what are the chances of the monitor making it?”

Fu Ke looked at Liu Guo’an and said, “I don’t know, but staying with me is better than staying with you. If I can’t do anything…”

She smiled, leaving the last words unsaid.

Liu Guo’an’s heart sank slightly, and his honest face was full of heaviness.

“Don’t worry.” Fu Ke saw that Liu Guo’an was obviously worried about Zhang Zhongmin. Fu Ke couldn’t help but sigh. Although she didn’t like Xiao Bin, she could feel that Xiao Bin was also really worried about Zhang Zhongmin. She didn’t know what kind of charm Zhang Zhongmin had, that made thousands of people obey him. It was better than her mental power.
