The campus square of K University.

Different departments had set up small sheds with the same pointed roofs, which were arranged in a circle around the open space. In front of the sheds were banners with messages like “Warmly welcome the freshmen of the xx department, class of 20xx, to enter the school”.

The Department of Automation was no exception.

After saying goodbye to the driver at the gate, Tang Ran dragged her suitcase into the campus by herself. After getting a campus map at the gate, Tang Ran pulled her small suitcase towards the registration shed of the Automation Department.

Long before school started, Tang Ran had discussed with Tang Shiyu and Lan Jingqian about reporting to school alone – K University was located in K City, and the university district was a little far away from the city, but it was only about an hour’s drive from Tang Ran’s current home.

Being so close, Tang Ran felt embarrassed asking her parents to pick her up in person.

One of the skills that Tang Ran had acquired from her previous blindness was an excellent sense of direction. It didn’t take her much effort to find the welcome shed for the Automation Department in the crowded campus.

At the front of the shed were several long tables put together. A counselor on duty and two senior sisters from the department’s student union were sitting behind the tables, registering for registration.

Further on both sides of the shed, there were sophomore seniors arranged by the Student Union who were responsible for serving as “tour guides” for the freshmen.

As early as when Tang Ran arrived in front of the Automation Department’s shed, the seniors next to the surrounding sheds had already noticed her.

The little girl was already nineteen years old. She was a little taller and wore a simple light yellow waist-length skirt that outlined her slender waist and slightly raised chest, with a pair of white shoes.

The facial features on that delicate oval face had lost their previous childishness and now looked quite gorgeous.

Under the dazzling sun today, others would get a darker tan if they stood for two minutes longer, but she was different. The skin color exposed outside was as cold and white as ice and snow.

Thrown into the crowd, she was even more eye-catching.

So when they saw Tang Ran walking to the Automation Department’s shed, the seniors from other departments’ expressions fell, while the Automation Department’s eyes lit up.

Some of them were already gearing up and eager to give it a try.

However, the two senior students behind the long table were busy taking notes and searching, and did not look up. Tang Ran heard their conversation as she walked over with her suitcase.

“…No way, where did you hear the news?”

“Teacher Qian said it himself, so it shouldn’t be false.”

“Teacher Qian said that? So it’s actually true? But he’s a school idol, and a genius in the junior class that all the teachers hold in high regard, so why would he suddenly come to help our Automation Department welcome new students?”

“I don’t know. I heard from Teacher Qian that when the department head heard about it, he was so happy that he asked Teacher Qian to use this orientation to promote it more so that he could keep the students in the department and not let them go again.”

“Pfft, then I’m afraid INT is going to come and fight with our department head, hahaha…”

The welcoming senior student raised her head with a smile, and then she found that a freshman was walking towards her.

She quickly suppressed her smile: “Sorry, sorry, I didn’t see it – wow! What a scene?!”

“Ah?”

Tang Ran was confused by this turn of events.

She subconsciously looked up, then followed the surprised gaze of the welcoming senior in front of her and turned behind her.

From behind the teaching building next to the square, a group of boys of varying ages who looked like students were coming over in a large group. By the time they were noticed, they were already right in front of her.

There were three people walking in the lead.

The one on the left was tall and strong, with a playful and slick look. The one on the right was thinner and looked quite quiet and seemed a little embarrassed to be stared at by so many people.

The only one walking in front was wearing a black baseball cap with the brim pulled down low. Unfortunately, he was the tallest and couldn’t hide his face – his features were handsome even under the baseball cap, but at this moment, his eyelids drooped expressionlessly, looking like he was sunburned.

But Tang Ran was most familiar with him.

So she could tell that the man was now disgusted and wanted to draw a clear line between himself and the group behind him.

Tang Ran wanted to too.

She even had the urge to drop her suitcase and run away.

Unfortunately, Tang Ran was very self-aware – in terms of physical strength, Luo Zhan was far better than her.

So Tang Ran could only watch Luo Zhan stop in front of her.

The boy lowered his head and the girl raised hers.

Their eyes met, one high and one low.

After only two seconds of staring at each other, Luo Zhan, who originally had an irritated look, couldn’t help but curl the corners of his lips.

He reached out and touched the girl’s head: “Long time no see, little girl.”

Tang Ran pursed her lips and said honestly, “It’s only been less than two days.”

“I am suffering from lovesickness, and every day feels like a year.” Luo Zhan said shamelessly.

“…” Tang Ran was silent, but after two seconds she couldn’t help her ears turning red.

Luo Zhan easily pulled Tang Ran’s suitcase, and as soon as he turned around, he saw the group behind him.

“…”

Luo Zhan’s forehead twitched, then turned back.

Tang Ran was just looking up to speak when she saw the boy in front of her take off his baseball cap, then put it on her head and pull it down to hide her face.

Tang Ran looking up: “?”

Luo Zhan, with two tufts of hair sticking up, gestured lazily to the person behind him: “Cover your face well, they are too stupid, it’s embarrassing.”

Tang Ran chuckled.

Tan Yunchang stopped close by and sneered when he heard this. He turned around and winked at his juniors in the INT lab: “Do you remember what I said before I left?”

“Remember.”

“Then what do you call this person when you see him?”

Luo Zhan’s eyes moved, and he suddenly had a bad feeling in his heart.

He turned around and took a step forward to stop them.

Unfortunately, it was too late –

“Little! Sister-in-law! Hello!”

A dozen big boys were shouting with all their might, their voices so loud and powerful that they shook the entire K Plaza.

The welcome tents of each department suddenly became quiet.

There was complete silence.

The welcome girl from the Automation Department was the closest. She stared in amazement for three seconds, then took a deep breath:

“Damn, it’s like the underworld.”
