Ji Juechuan didn’t expect Yan Yan to ask such a question, and the movements of his hands suddenly stopped, with a strange look on his face.

He did have the idea of letting Yan Yan stay with him alone, but it was just an impulsive idea when he was angry. How could he really lock Yan Yan up?

Was this how Yan Yan saw him?

He stared at Yan Yan for a while. He originally wanted to deny it, but he didn’t know what his mentality was. He just said vaguely: “What do you think.”

Yan Yan’s eyes widened instantly and his lips moved, as if he wanted to condemn him. But then he closed his mouth tightly, not knowing what he thought of.

Ji Juechuan looked at his reaction calmly and did not explain, as if he wanted to prove the crime.

Yan Yan, who has been abiding by the law since he was a child, did not expect to encounter such a thing. He didn’t know what to do for a moment. He was also afraid of angering Ji Juechuan such that he would even take away his mobile phone later, so he had no choice but to say nothing, but there was clear disapproval written on his face.

Seeing that he pursed his lips without saying a word and had an unconvinced look on his face, Ji Juechuan suppressed the smile on his lips and said with a cold face: “Eat the food first.”

After all this tossing, it was already afternoon, and the two of them hadn’t had lunch yet.

He took out the food from the bag, placed it on the table, and asked Yan Yan to sit down on the chair.

These dishes were randomly ordered by Yan Yan at a roadside restaurant. Fortunately, they tasted pretty good. The two of them finished their lunch in silence.

After putting down his chopsticks, Yan Yan wiped his mouth and regained his strength, ready to talk to Ji Juechuan.

He knew that Ji Juechuan was not a bad person at heart, and he must have wanted to lock him up just because of impulsiveness. He just needed to explain it clearly to him.

He thought for a while, made a mental draft, and said, “You can’t lock me here, I…”

“Oh.” Ji Juechuan had already cleared the table, stood up with the bag, and interrupted with lowered eyes. He said, “What can you do?”

Yan Yan was stunned for a moment and looked at him blankly. The thoughts he had just sorted out were disrupted by him again.

Ji Juechuan’s heart had been tense these past two days, and now looking at his appearance, he couldn’t help but want to tease him a little more.

“Where’s your cell phone?”

Yan Yan reacted and quickly touched the cell phone in his pocket but found nothing.

He was really scared now, even imagining the life of being locked up in the future. His lips trembled: “You can’t do this.”

Ji Juechuan turned around and went out.

He didn’t take Yan Yan’s cell phone. Yan Yan’s cell phone fell on the seat when he was in the car, and the driver gave it to him when he got off.

After carrying the bag downstairs and throwing it away, Ji Juechuan took out Yan Yan’s mobile phone from his pocket and returned to the room.

Yan Yan was still sitting at the table, with his head hanging down, looking completely dejected.

He thought Ji Juechuan really wanted to lock him up here. What made him even more desperate was that he had just thought about it and couldn’t think of any solution.

He told Yan Yueluo at the airport today that he was going to J City. Even if he really disappeared, no one would suspect Ji Juechuan.

Just when he was feeling frustrated, he saw a slender hand appear in front of him and put down a mobile phone.

Ji Juechuan put down the phone and took back his hand: “I won’t lock you up.”

Yan Yan felt relieved when he got the phone back.

After taking a breath, he raised his head to look at Ji Juechuan: “Then can I leave?”

Ji Juechuan’s forehead veins jumped and he took a deep breath.

He didn’t know how in just one day, Yan Yan could make his blood pressure soar with every word he spoke, making him want to punish him severely.

He gritted his teeth: “Wait a minute.”

Ji Juechuan took out his suitcase, packed it casually, and then opened the door: “You can go.”

Yan Yan still didn’t believe it, so he took two steps outside the door but kept looking back at him again.

Ji Juechuan was right behind him.

Yan Yan paused for a moment and continued walking out. He saw the driver waiting outside. When he saw him coming out, he immediately stepped forward to help him carry his luggage.

“Uncle, no need, I’m going to take a taxi outside.”

The driver glanced at Ji Juechuan behind him.

“Take him.” Ji Juechuan said to the driver, then looked at Yan Yan, “Aren’t you going to the airport?”

The driver quickly took the suitcase from Yan Yan, put it in the trunk, and opened the door of the back seat.

Yan Yan was a little hesitant, but the trunk was already closed. He stood there for a while before getting in the car.

As soon as he sat down, Ji Juechuan got into the car, slammed the door hard, and the car started quickly.

The driver glanced in the rearview mirror and felt that the atmosphere between the two did not seem to be reconciled, but it was much more harmonious than at noon. At least Ji Juechuan was no longer radiating coldness.

He looked straight ahead and concentrated on driving, praying in his heart that the two of them would not quarrel again on the road.

Perhaps his prayers had an effect. The two of them were silent all the way. They didn’t really quarrel, but the atmosphere was terrifyingly silent.

When he arrived at the airport, Yan Yan took his suitcase and went directly to buy a ticket and bought a ticket for the earliest flight.

It was already afternoon, and even with the earliest flight, it would be late at night by the time he arrived in J City.

Yan Yan calculated the time in his mind. After arriving in J City, he would have to take a taxi to the community. When he got back, he would have to take a shower and make his bed. In this way, he would probably not be able to sleep until early in the morning.

He should thus take the opportunity to catch up on some sleep on the plane later.

Yan Yan kept his head down all the way, and it wasn’t until he sat down in the lounge that he realized something was wrong.

He looked at the tall figure sitting next to him in astonishment, thinking he was dazzled.

Why was Ji Juechuan here?

Ji Juechuan knew Yan Yan’s expression without looking. He leaned back in his chair and took out his cell phone to reply to his messages without giving Yan Yan a chance to ask questions.

Yan Yan wanted to ask him why he was following him, but Ji Juechuan didn’t look at him, so he had to lower his head again.

The phone in his pocket vibrated. Yan Yan took it out and took a look. It was Lu Yiming asking him if he had arrived in J City.

He replied: [Something happened, I haven’t boarded the plane yet]

After asking a few more questions, Yan Yan made up an excuse to pass over, so as not to worry Lu Yiming.

After replying to the message, Yan Yan exited the chat interface and found that Ji Juechuan’s avatar had also been changed in his contact list.

At first glance, he couldn’t see what the profile picture was. He just felt that it became more and more familiar as he looked at it. When he clicked on it, he realized that it was a part cut off from his profile picture.

His new avatar now looked like a swallow with a few pieces of grass in its mouth. Ji Juechuan cut off the pieces of grass and made it into a portrait.

Yan Yan was facing this portrait as he wrinkled his nose and his eyes were full of disgust. This was too ugly.

He turned his head subconsciously, wanting Ji Juechuan to change his avatar, and almost blurted out “husband”.

Fortunately, he reacted in time and only shouted one word before shutting up.
