No one on shore could fathom Si Huang’s thoughts. They waited for a moment, even wondering if she’d drowned in the pool. But they also felt she wasn’t so foolish as to not even have time to call for help.

“Splash!”

The sound of water breaking was heard, followed by exclamations from the crowd.

Louis caught a glimpse of a figure breaking through the water, but he didn’t capture it in time with his camera.

Everything happened so quickly, yet it seemed to slow down countless times in Louis’s view. Even after that startling glimpse had already fallen into the water, the shock of that moment lingered, constantly replaying, trying to etch it deeply in his mind, afraid to forget even a single moment.

The nimble and agile figure seemed to effortlessly leap from the water, emerging effortlessly and then dropping back into the water on its back.

The long black hair swung in a graceful arc, each drop of water becoming a beautiful spectacle. Her face was obscured, revealing only a profile, her brows lowered, her eyes soft and cool.

Louis’s fingertips trembled, and he felt certain he’d said Si Huang was his source of inspiration, always able to surprise him and unleash his artistic potential.

Capturing this beautiful moment thrilled Louis to the point of being overwhelmed, feeling it was more satisfying than even the climax of lovemaking, both emotionally and physically.

Fortunately, that leap wasn’t the end. The small pool became Si Huang’s world, and she truly mastered the art of swimming.

Surfaces, backstrokes, submersions, each movement effortlessly smooth and flowing, a beauty that made one wonder if she was a skilled swimmer—no! Even a skilled swimmer couldn’t match her beauty. She swam with the utmost care, her legs seemingly imbued with invisible fishtails, a gentle kick of water sending her entire body careening.

A layer of clothing floated in the water. When it emerged, Si Huang’s seemingly gentle movements were actually powerful, driving the entire hem of the garment and the water. Even just seeing it in person felt brimming with power and beauty, let alone the image captured by Louis’s camera. The curtain of water droplets in the air, the arc of the swung hem of the robe, the wetness of her body, a hazy outline, her face never fully visible.

A single shot, a half-profile, a single look, as if just awakened, a deep, moist, dark green. It was like a forest shrouded in early morning mist, where you never knew whether it held an elf or a deadly beast.

“Click—click! Click! Click!”

Louis’s eyes barely left the camera, his fingers clinging to the quick-click key, snapping away as if it were free. To the uninitiated, he’d probably mistakenly thought he was a half-assed photographer, all about snapping, seemingly oblivious to angles and lighting.

An unknown amount of time passed before Louis called for a stop, but Si Huang felt it was enough.

She swam to the shore, and the man on the other side with a sullen face raised his chin.

The man’s expression was stunned for a moment, then he reached out and pulled the bath towel and bathrobe that had been prepared long ago, covered Si Huang’s head with the bath towel, and then reached out to pull her up while draping the bathrobe over her.

“You looked like you walked out of a fairy tale just now…”

Si Huang heard the man whisper in her ear.

She was wiping the water off her face with the bath towel on her head, and she pulled the corner of her mouth with amusement after hearing it.

“Si Huang, are you feeling unwell?” Yu Xi also came back to his senses and hurried over to ask.

Si Huang shook his head and asked Louis, “Do we need to film underwater?”

Louis, eager to continue enjoying the scenes, said matter-of-factly, “No, go take a shower, change clothes, and rest. Don’t catch a cold!”

Si Huang looked at Ace, who was also staring at her. As their gazes met, she pointed ahead and said, “That room is the bathroom. Are there any clean, unopened bathrobes in there? You can change into them first.”

The walk back to the dressing room assigned to Si Huang would take another ten minutes.

Ace had clearly thought of this.

Si Huang thanked her and turned to the room the girl pointed to.

The bathroom was user-friendly and enclosed, so she wasn’t afraid of being watched.

Yu Ling said, “I’ll get Si Huang some clothes,” and hurried off.

As she opened the glass door, she heard a commotion outside.

“Oh my god! I think I’m falling in love with him!”

“Hahahaha! Look carefully, it’s a man, oh no! It’s a boy. You’re falling in love with someone of the same sex?”

“Oh no! How can he be a man? I don’t think any woman is as beautiful as him!”

“That’s called charm, not beauty, you chimpanzee! Hey~ little girl over there, can you tell me his name? And his phone number?”

Yu Ling saw a Western woman reaching out to greet her. But she gave an apologetic smile, “Sorry, that’s not possible,” and continued running without looking back.

The glass door closed again. Louis slowly calmed his heartbeat and breathing, then turned to look at Ace. “It’s your turn, Ace, how are you feeling?”

“Very good.” Ace smiled brightly.

She was already incredibly delicate and adorable. Such that even with a cold expression, she made people want to hug her and squeeze her. So when she smiled, it was even more amazing, radiating a sense of purity, like a blooming flower.

“I feel more motivated and confident.”

“You seem to be in great shape,” Louis laughed. “Me too.”

Yu Ling returned after running back and forth for fifteen or sixteen minutes. Seeing Louis filming Ace inside, she tiptoed in and was about to hand the clothes to Yu Xi when Qin Fan took them.

Yu Xi’s outstretched hand paused mid-air, and he sighed to his sister, “Give it to him.”

Yu Ling handed the clothes in and watched Qin Fan walk into the room beyond, closing the door behind him to block out everyone’s gaze.

“Feather,” James approached.

“My name’s Yu Xi,” Yu Xi reminded him.

James didn’t mind. “Feather’s easy to remember and call.” Clearly not intending to change it, he asked, “What’s the relationship between Arnold and Si?”

Yu Xi’s heart skipped a beat. He observed James’s expression calmly, not wanting to reveal Si Huang and Qin Fan’s relationship so easily, even in a foreign country. “Si Huang’s… teacher.”

“Teacher?” James’s face was filled with suspicion.

Yu Xi added, “Martial arts teacher.”

“Oh, Eastern Kung Fu?” James humorously struck a few punching poses. “So he’s really a bodyguard!”

Bodyguard?

Yu Xi’s lips moved at this, but he didn’t explain. Anyway, it wasn’t him who said it. James’s guess was his fault; he just had to avoid guessing about his lover.

James took his silence as tacit agreement, smacking his lips. “Do you know what he looks like?”

“What?” Yu Xi asked, a little curious.

“A loyal dog,” James laughed. “A loyal dog who only stays by his master’s side.”

“…” Yu Xi thought, you haven’t seen how rabid he is.

Huh! Wait, something seems off?

Oh! Why are they all dogs?

How dare you call Master Qin a dog… Ugh!

Yu Xi’s face twisted. Hearing the sound of the door opening, he turned to see Si Huang and Qin Fan exiting together. Feeling a little guilty, he didn’t dare glance at Qin Fan for a moment.

After washing off her makeup and removing her wig, Si Huang, dressed in her usual casual clothes, once again attracted considerable attention.

Even a layer of glass couldn’t shield the onlookers from their gazes. Seeing her usual Si Huang, their gazes didn’t diminish but instead became even more fixed.
