By the time Qin Fan finished trying on the last set of clothes, Si Huang had already paid the bill.

She wrote down the address of their hotel for the salesperson, who would send someone to deliver it.

Qin Fan, upon learning this, merely raised an eyebrow and said nothing.

This made the salesperson glance at the two of them again, wondering if this young man was the one who was raising the other.

“Are you going anywhere else?” Si Huang asked the man as they exited the clothing store.

The tall man glanced around and gestured to the left.

Si Huang was initially unsure of where they were going, but when they reached the men’s underwear department, she remembered that buying clothes alone wasn’t enough; what was inside was more important.

“Do you want to leave?” Qin Fan, already inside, suddenly realized something and asked Si Huang.

Si Huang calmly explained that she didn’t need to.

Qin Fan didn’t dwell on this; he didn’t know how women should behave. He simply let Si Huang do as she pleased, and he didn’t find it strange or awkward.

A fellow Jinghua University student, Qin Fan’s language skills were undeniable. After explaining his measurements, he followed the salesperson to their designated area.

Si Huang’s expression didn’t appear to change, but her feelings matched the salesperson’s slightly surprised expression, or perhaps they were even more complicated.

While she wasn’t petite, for her own health, it was best not to get too involved with this man too soon.

Qin Fan hadn’t realized that she’d seriously started to consider these matters. If he’d known this would happen, he certainly wouldn’t have deliberately revealed his measurements to the salesperson right next to Si Huang, with the intention of seducing her. Didn’t the book say women liked that?!

Putting aside their own little thoughts, the underwear purchase went smoothly. Si Huang walked over, swiped her card, and let him carry the packaging bag away. Then she remembered something, “Would you like me to buy you a new phone for temporary use?”

At the mention of phones, Qin Fan’s face darkened slightly. “Next time you want to lose your temper, take it out on me. Don’t learn from that woman and throw my phone at me.” After a pause, he continued to explain, “There’s a lot of important information and messages in my phone.”

“Don’t bring other people’s affairs onto me.” Si Huang’s tone also softened a bit.

She didn’t think about the African woman, and it was still good that she believed Qin Fan’s words. But this man actually used the other person’s actions to warn her?

Qin Fan said coldly, “If it weren’t for you, I would have slapped her to death long ago.”

“What was the result?” Si Huang showed some interest.

“What result?”

“Didn’t you transfer your feelings for me to her? So what did you do after she broke your phone?”

“Nothing.” Qin Fan frowned. “I thought it was okay if it was broken, just don’t get angry.”

His expression made Si Huang feel that he was obviously not satisfied with the result. Then he heard the man say, “If you really broke it, there would be nothing I could do to you, but it’s best not to do that.”

Si Huang nodded and returned to the original question, “Then do you still need to buy a phone?”

“No.” Qin Fan said, “I’ll be with you these days.”

What he meant was that since they were together anyway, why did they need a phone to contact each other?

Si Huang didn’t say anything.

The two walked slowly for a few minutes, and Qin Fan suddenly stopped in front of a road sign, his eyes focused on something.

Si Huang was about to ask him, but the man had already stretched out his hand and pointed at a sign, “Let’s go here.”

“Didn’t we just have lunch?” Si Huang asked.

The man’s face was expressionless, but his eyes held a hint of meaning. “You like American desserts.”

“…” Si Huang, not knowing whether to laugh or cry, stared at the sign for the rooftop restaurant.

“Then let’s go.” The rooftop restaurant was a revolving restaurant with a panoramic view.

Luckily, today wasn’t a special day, and it was still early, so the place was quite empty. Aside from a few designated seats, the two of them could choose their own dining seat.

Si Huang let the man choose and then sat down in the corner he had chosen, near the window.

The restaurant’s lights were dim, shrouding them in a hazy haze. A beauty who was seven points beautiful could become ten here, let alone a beauty who was ten points beautiful.

For their first date, Si Huang couldn’t possibly order a table full of desserts; that would be off-putting not only to Qin Fan but also to herself.

Figuring that Qin Fan wouldn’t understand something as romantic as a candlelight dinner, she took the initiative to order herself.

Within a few minutes, Si Huang’s order arrived, a truly standard candlelight dinner set.

When the waiter opened their red wine, this time Qin Fan didn’t dampen the mood by saying anything about underage drinking. As soon as the wine arrived, he instructed the waiter in equally fluent English not to come over without specific instructions, and also to try not to seat guests there.

The latter request was a bit unreasonable, but coming from someone as imposing as Qin Fan, the waiter dutifully complied.

As the two spoke, Si Huang admired the man’s voice. His already deep, magnetic voice took on the smoothness of a cello in English, showing a truly masculine quality.

Qin Fan turned to meet the child’s focused, smiling gaze, and his heart fluttered again. Then he couldn’t help but whisper, “Be careful out there.”

“What do you mean?” Si Huang didn’t understand, assuming he was talking about the wine. So she raised her wine glass to him, “Don’t worry, I don’t get drunk easily.”

“…” Qin Fan was speechless.

His eyes couldn’t help but gravitate to every aspect of Si Huang. Her flawless face in the dim light and the gentle flutter of her thick eyelashes, could set anyone’s heart racing. Or, for example, the fingers holding the goblet, white and slender, their nails round, clean, and a healthy shade of pale pink.

Qin Fan wondered if the aftereffects of that incident hadn’t worn off, driving him further and further afield.

He felt the need to think of something else to distract himself, and his thoughts drifted back to the purpose of his visit, to the time Si Huang and Dou Wenqing had dined alone in the sky restaurant.

Could this mean Dou Wenqing had also sat across from the child, admiring her presence? What kind of mood and expression had he used to gaze upon the child?

The man’s expression didn’t change noticeably, but Si Huang could still detect the shifts in his emotions. She had never known a man could have so many thoughts and so many shifts in the same instant.

“What are you thinking about?” Si Huang asked curiously, noticing the fierceness in the man’s eyes.

Qin Fan opened his lips and said, “Nothing.” There was no point in bringing up the past.

He also picked up his wine glass, clinked glasses with Si Huang, and took a sip. Then he picked up his knife and fork, and with a skillful, even elegant, movement, he sliced the steak into pieces.

Si Huang looked surprised, and then Qin Fan’s next action surprised her even more.

The man actually placed the plate with the cut steak in front of her and then took hers away.

“I’ve received training in various aspects.” Qin Fan seemed to see her confusion, “Including spy disguise. When necessary, I can adapt to any situation.”

Normally, Si Huang didn’t like to talk while eating.

But now that she was with the man, she had an interest in talking.

“Including how to please women?”

Qin Fan glanced at her, “Yeah.”

“Why didn’t I see that.”

“Because before I met you, I didn’t need to please any woman.”

“What about after you met me?”

“I wasn’t taught how to please men,” Qin Fan said. “Men only need to be conquered.”

“Oh?”

“Thinking about it now, I was trying to please you from the beginning.” Qin Fan said calmly, looking at Si Huang with a deep look, with a hint of slight condemnation.

Si Huang flashed a roguish smile, as if to say, “What does this have to do with me? You’re the one who got yourself into this!” She then tried to soothe the man with words, “From what I’ve seen so far, your tactics are quite successful. We’re already lovers.”

This statement lifted the gloom from Qin Fan’s brow.

Si Huang picked up her fork and took two bites of the steak the man had cut himself. After swallowing, she wiped her lips and said to the man, “I’m curious about what techniques you’ve learned.”

The man was silent for a second, then said slowly, in a calm and serious tone, “I’m curious about my own learning level, too.”

“Didn’t your instructor give you a report?”

“Full marks on the theory test, zero on the practical test.”

As Qin Fan spoke, he stood from his chair, strode over to Si Huang’s side, picked up the bottle and personally poured her a glass of wine.

His movements weren’t exactly standard, but they held a unique charm. A man like him didn’t need to be subservient to others. Even if he was serving you, it was simply to treat you as an equal and respect you.

“Want a drink?”

“Oh, thank you,” Si Huang reached out to take it.

Who knew the man would instead grab her hand, down the glass of wine in one gulp, and then place his lips firmly against hers… Without touching immediately, the aroma of wine mingled with his scent, so close.

Si Huang’s breath paused, and for a moment she didn’t move, neither retreating in shock nor leaning forward in temptation.

Time seemed to stand still between them.

Their gazes then locked, entwined in a seemingly intense, lingering passion, yet also in a battle of strife and defiance, each one determined to win.

If they simply didn’t want to lose, they could have ended this exchange of temptations. However, neither seemed willing to give up, insisting on clinging to this point.

Finally, Si Huang leaned back.

The man’s eyes instantly grew fierce, assuming she had rejected him.

Then, Si Huang opened her mouth slightly and smiled, “Come on, give me a sip.”

It would have been strange for the man to refuse such an invitation. But he remained restrained, moving closer to Si Huang with a rather gentle touch.

As their lips touched, all traces of tenderness went to hell!

The red wine seemed to be heated by the man’s mouth, and one sip could burn the lungs. Even hotter was the man’s passion and powerful tongue.

The kiss was not long, or even brief, but it was more memorable.

“Is this also considered a way to please?” Si Huang asked.

“My teacher said,” Qin Fan looked at her deeply, “men’s enthusiasm is the greatest pleasure for women, and my enthusiasm for you has never cooled.”

“…Okay.” Si Huang raised the corner of her mouth, “You successfully pleased me with this sentence.”
