Even so, Jiang Sui’s eyes were red when meeting Deng Shan and the others’ gaze.

Wang Lan asked: “Jiang Sui, what’s wrong with your eyes? Were you bitten by a mosquito?”

Where would mosquitoes come from in April?

Fortunately, she was just asking and had no intention of digging into the matter.

The monthly holiday was coming in a few days. After working hard for a month, she was waiting for these two days to go home. Jiang Sui took the bus back home and happened to meet Jiang Shuisheng going out.

“Dad, where are you going?”

Jiang Shuisheng said: “Your Aunt Hong said that Liang Qian’er from their family is missing. We are all neighbors. So I’m going to help look for her.”

As he said this, he was about to go out with an umbrella. The sky outside was gloomy and it was going to rain soon. Although Liang Qian’er was not likable, Jiang Sui did not have much ill will towards her. Going missing was a big deal, so Jiang Sui said, “I’ll leave my schoolbag and go with you.”

She hurried out and walked out side by side with Jiang Shuisheng. Not long after walking along the courtyard, they met the haggard Aunt Hong.

Aunt Hong came over and asked, “How’s it going? Have you seen my Qian’er?”

Jiang Shuisheng shook his head: “I didn’t see her. Does this child usually contact you? How long has she been missing?”

Hong Liyun covered her mouth, tears falling as she sobbed: “I don’t know when Qian’er disappeared. After we sold the house, she used the money to buy a house in the city. The boss said that we could continue to live in the compound, but I didn’t want to disturb her life, so I moved back to the compound. Qian’er rarely contacted me. She thought I was a nag and annoying. I called her every month to ask about her, but this time she didn’t answer the phone. I waited for a few more days, then feeling uneasy, I brought the vegetables I grew and went to see her, but I didn’t expect to find her gone.”

Jiang Sui held her shoulders and said, “Aunt Hong, don’t panic. Have you called the police?”

Hong Liyun nodded and grabbed Jiang Sui’s hand like a life-saving straw: “Sui Sui, you are also a young person. Do you think it is possible that our Qian’er went out to play and lost her phone?”

However, even Hong Liyun knew that this statement was unreliable. Her daughter loved to play and often went to nightclubs. Jiang Sui was still a student and would not go to those places to play. Moreover, Liang Qian’er loved playing with her mobile phone to such an extent that she would buy a new one immediately if her mobile phone was lost.

Jiang Sui comforted the bewildered mother: “It’s possible. Let’s look for her together. If the police are also looking for her, we will have news soon.”

The weekend was almost over, and Liang Qian’er still hadn’t been found. Not only had they searched the compound and Liang Qian’er’s school, but the police had no news either. It was as if Liang Qian’er had disappeared from the face of the earth, and all traces of her had been wiped out.

Many old neighbors in the compound were trying to help look for her, but Zhao Nan refused. She said, “Liang Qian’er must have gone out to play with her friends. What could have happened to her? It’s raining so hard, I won’t go looking for her.” She and Liang Qian’er were friends when they were young, but Liang Qian’er had distanced herself from her when she grew up.

A heavy rainfall came as expected.

Jiang Sui had just opened her umbrella and was about to go out when several low-profile cars drove into the courtyard. She stopped and found that some of them were going to Aunt Hong’s house.

Chi Yan got out of the last silver-gray car, his eyes quite gloomy, as he walked into Hong Liyun’s house.

Hong Liyun was very uneasy. Seeing how big the commotion was, she was afraid that it might be related to Liang Qian’er and might be harmful to her. But she was stunned when she saw Chi Yan, who nodded at her, “Aunt Hong.”

Hong Liyun responded restrainedly: “Yeah.”

Chi Yan said: “My people will also help you find Liang Qian’er. Tell me about her recent situation.”

When Hong Liyun heard that Chi Yan was willing to help find her daughter, she almost knelt down in front of him and quickly told him everything about Liang Qian’er.

Chi Yan said calmly, “Okay, I got it. I’ll have someone notify you if there’s any news.”

Chi Yan walked out of Hong Liyun’s house, and the cold and gloomy look in his eyes reappeared. He knew that he couldn’t find Liang Qian’er. Liang Qian’er was probably still “visiting” Hengxia Island at the moment. She was not in any life-threatening danger, but she was not free to move.

However, even if Chi Yan had to pretend, he had to try his best to find Liang Qian’er.

Chi Yan’s men were questioning everyone in the courtyard one by one, and Jiang Sui was also stopped by a man.

“Miss, have you seen Liang Qian’er recently?”

Jiang Sui nodded.

The man asked: “When was the last time you saw her? Where was it? What was the situation?”

Jiang Sui didn’t know whether to answer or not. The man said with a fierce face: “Please cooperate!”

Jiang Sui thought, you asked me to tell you. “At a cocktail party, about half a month ago, she was taking off her clothes in front of Chi Yan.”

Man: “…Please don’t make such jokes.” The black-clothed man’s serious face almost cracked, he seemed to have heard some incredible secrets. No wonder the boss suddenly ordered to find someone, he turned out to have something to do with the missing lady.

Was she joking? Before Jiang Sui could say anything, Chi Yan stepped over and said to the man in black, “You’re not needed here, go back.”

The man quickly said, “Okay.”

After he left, Chi Yan looked at Jiang Sui: “What are you going to do, help find someone?”

Jiang Sui nodded and said truthfully: “I’m not that optimistic. I think something might have happened to her.”

“Nothing has happened.” Chi Yan said coldly, “Go back and stop running around all day long.”

Jiang Sui silently took a step back from Chi Yan. She raised the umbrella in her hand towards him and pressed the umbrella switch. The umbrella suddenly popped open and raindrops splashed onto Chi Yan.

Chi Yan’s face was wet, and he pursed his lips: “Jiang Sui!”

She showed her beautiful face from behind her umbrella: “I heard you. Do you have any other instructions, Mr. Chi Yan?”

Chi Yan was a little annoyed. The rainwater was running down his cheeks, but he still maintained a calm face and said, “I’m not harming you.”

She was like a little rabbit, holding up her head and trying to rush past him.

Chi Yan reached out to grab her: “Jiang Sui!”

She blocked him with her umbrella: “Are you a repeater?” He was in charge of everything, but why did he care about her going out? She couldn’t help getting angry when she talked to him. They hadn’t settled the score from last time, and he really held her down so hard that he almost scratched her cheek. That was her face! It wasn’t the floor.

She was rarely so brave. She had just splashed water on his face with her umbrella, and now she was afraid that he would catch her. She waved her umbrella without any idea: “Go away, go away.” Because the umbrella was used as a weapon to poke him, she was soaked by the rain.

Chi Yan twitched his lips in suppression. He reached out, grabbed her umbrella, and pulled her over.

Jiang Sui was hooked by the umbrella handle and was pulled directly under Chi Yan’s umbrella.

Jiang Sui looked up in panic, and he looked down at her: “Is it fun?”
