The God’s Heart said, “The ‘upper limit’ of power in this world has been decreasing, are you aware of that?”

Luo Mi nodded: “The Rose Lord told me that in previous eras there were higher-ranking demons such as Demon Lords and Demon Emperors, and the Pope’s power was also much greater. He believed that this was also the upper limit that God could reach in manipulating power.”

“Gods may not have such abilities, but the upper limit of power that can be generated in this world is gradually decreasing.” The God’s Heart pondered for a moment. “Although I don’t know how God draws powerful energy from ordinary people, there is no doubt that God is also affected by the decline in the upper limit of power in this world. Perhaps in the next era, the upper limit of power generated in the world will be even lower, and God will be able to obtain even less power, so he simply wants to take it all back in this era.”

“Furthermore, the distant blue star in the prophecy may have multiple symbolic meanings. Perhaps it represents the purpose of God— to achieve this purpose, God has always improved himself by devouring humans. After this era when he has devoured all humans, perhaps God will reach a state where he can pursue his purpose and no longer needs to continue to herd humans…”

The God’s Heart offered several possible approaches, concluding that, “The scenes in prophecies are mostly symbolic, and interpretation requires a great deal of information… Clearly, we know far too little about God.”

Luo Mi muttered, “You are an angel created by God, you should already know the most.”

The God’s Heart shook his head: “When God created me, it was already the middle and late stages of the Second Age, and God did not like me. He preferred the God’s Wisdom. Even when I took the initiative to communicate with God, God rarely paid attention to me.”

Luo Mi paused, feeling a bit uneasy: “What about the God’s Wisdom?”

“The God’s Wisdom must know a great deal about God. I once spoke with him privately, and he told me that he had been by God’s side since the very beginning of the First Age.” The God’s Heart sighed softly. “Unfortunately, God also disliked me being too close to the God’s Wisdom, and at that time, I…”

He paused, then continued, “I was bound to obey God’s will. By the time I wanted to oppose God, God’s Wisdom had already died from being devoured.”

Luo Mi couldn’t help but wonder, “Is the God’s Wisdom truly dead?”

“Yes, in the sense of the body. But not in the sense of the soul,” the God’s Heart replied. “After my failure to rebel against God, the God’s Wisdom contacted me through some means and told me some key information that could help me defeat God— that is why I am here now.”

Luo Mi was taken aback again: “The God’s Wisdom… is also an ally?”

The God’s Heart shook his head again: “I don’t know what he wants to do. He has always stood by God’s side and will have mercy on mankind that God is shepherding, but he has not defied God’s will because of this… But at least we can be sure that we are on the same page when it comes to getting through the end times.”

Luo Mi couldn’t help but ask, “Did he tell you my name? When?”

The God’s Heart glanced at him and smiled, “The day you came into this world.”

Luo Mi paused his breathing and subconsciously glanced at the Anos beside him.

This Anos, who had heterochromatic eyes, had remained silent since the God’s Heart began speaking, until now when he finally looked up at him, his azure and crimson eyes filled with deep emotions that were impossible to decipher.

Luo Mi dared not think about it, and turned his gaze back to the God’s Heart: “If this is the truth of the apocalypse… then what about you? You, are you Anos?”

The God’s Heart’s silvery-white eyes swept over Anos before turning back to Luo Mi: “I’m just a part.”

Luo Mi gave a puzzled “Hmm?”

“After my rebellion against God failed, I was punished by God,” God’s Heart said calmly. “God tore my soul apart and took back a part of it, and ‘blessed’ me, so that my soul would live forever to dedicate itself to spreading God’s glory.”

“After that, God would occasionally wash away my remnant soul and let it descend upon the Papacy, where I would assume the roles of Holy Son, Pope, and so on. After being brainwashed by God, I would not doubt anything and would only act fanatically and devoutly in pursuance of God’s will.”

At this point, the God’s Heart looked at Anos, who had heterochromatic eyes, again and sighed softly, “That’s why my soul naturally has a tendency to split. As long as there is a little external stimulation, it will be classified into different personalities.”

Anos, with his heterochromatic eyes, pursed his lips and finally spoke: “You didn’t tell me these things before.”

The God’s Heart slightly curved the corners of his lips: “I did not tell you so that I can better utilize you.”

Anos’s face tightened, but he remained silent.

Luo Mi had roughly sorted out his thoughts, but a hesitant expression still appeared on his face.

He pinched his cheek and finally asked, “Can you be sure who’s part of your soul? Do I… have anything to do with you?”

Ever since Luo Mi acquired the angelic physique, this worry had been lurking in his heart.

His appearance after he turned into an angel bore a striking resemblance to Anos.

This made Luo Mi wonder if he might also be one of Anos’ split parts.

Although he had complete memories from his time on Earth in his mind, it was not impossible to fabricate memories in a magical world. Or it could very simply be that his memories were transplanted from someone else, or that the original complete Anos was a time traveler. There were just too many possibilities.

If he were also an Anos, wouldn’t his relationship with the two parts of Anos now be considered self-fertilization?

Luo Mi found it hard to imagine.

The God’s Heart’s gaze lingered on him for a long time, a slight smile playing on his lips: “You don’t want anything to do with me?”

Luo Mi sensed two other gazes imperceptibly, suddenly realizing the ambiguity in his words, and coughed, “No, that’s not what I meant…”

The God’s Heart smiled slightly and said, “You should have guessed that you are not a part of me from the fact that my soul fragments like you so much.”

Luo Mi was stunned for a moment, then immediately understood the hidden meaning of the God’s Heart: his shattered soul fragments all ended up hating each other.

“As for why you look so similar to me now…” God’s Heart shook his head, “You’d have to ask my former colleague. You bear traces of his influence, but I can’t observe any more of it.”
