“You were playing games till too late last night,” Qiu Jian said dismissively. “I told you to stop playing these games a long time ago. You should use that time to read more books. Look at other people’s assistants—”
He stopped abruptly as a huge monster appeared behind them.
This was the monster from the painting, which, in front of outsiders, naturally reverted to its ferocious appearance, terrifying beyond belief in reality.

The two sides began fighting, the eerie atmosphere dissipating completely. They were completely unaware of the alarmingly bright streetlights around them… People living in other buildings were awakened, some even thinking they were having a mental breakdown and calling the police.
Finally, the staff members, carrying strange props, were taken to the police station by the arriving officers. Qiu Jian and his ghost-dressed assistant were also utterly humiliated and unable to defend themselves.
