Two staff members held the wing props for her, serving her like two loyal servants.

At the filming location, they had just finished shooting Ace’s scenes, when amidst a series of gasps, everyone looked in the direction Si Huang was coming from.

Compared to the rest of the group who hadn’t seen many outstanding Asian stars, Louis was mentally prepared, so when he saw Si Huang making such a grand entrance, he only paused for a second before snapping back to reality. He then reminded the staff who were still shouting, “Why aren’t you bringing the props up yet!”

“Okay, okay!” The reprimanded staff immediately complied.

“And you guys, lie down!”

“Si Huang, you… cough, I won’t say much, just do what you feel like.”

Everyone moved quickly. The extras who had played the war angels earlier lay down on the ground one by one. Even if they were playing dead, it wasn’t just about lying down; they had to lie in different poses.

Torn flags fluttered in the wind, broken swords pierced the earth or the bodies of dead angels. These angels, who should have been pristine, now resembled broken dolls, lifeless and still. Some had their eyes open, dying with unclosed gazes, blood-red tears sliding from their vacant eyes, dripping down their chins and onto the desolate earth.

Standing atop the pile of corpses was Si Huang.

Without needing any prompting, she seemed to transform into the demon god who slaughtered all in the play the moment she stepped onto the stage.

She gripped a black demonic sword, her scarlet cloak flowing to the ground, seemingly blending into the stained earth, making it appear as if the dye for the cloak was the blood of countless lives.

Tsk— no one expected the silent demon god to suddenly swing her sword.

This sword pierced the body beneath her feet.

Whether startled or sensing something, the one whose clothes were torn trembled violently.

This scene was captured on camera, but everyone’s attention remained focused on Si Huang.

The atmosphere was silent, even the air seemed chilled.

An indescribable pressure and heaviness weighed heavily on everyone’s hearts.

Without exaggerated movements or words, the feeling Louis desired was perfectly conveyed, like an epic painting unfolding before their eyes.

“OK!” With Louis ‘s snap of his fingers, everyone felt as if they had been reborn, feeling a mixture of relief and loss. They didn’t want to experience that pressure again, yet they couldn’t help but want to see what would happen next.

“Brother, you scared me!” The male extra, whose clothes had been pierced by Si Huang’s sword, jumped up and shouted at Si Huang.

Si Huang gave an apologetic smile, “Sorry.”

Although she knew she had controlled the direction and force perfectly and couldn’t have actually hurt him, she hadn’t warned him beforehand. Someone with a weaker mentality or a short temper might have already lost their temper.

But once she got into character, she acted according to her own understanding of the feeling, and even if she had considered many aspects, she could not deny that she would still continue acting on her own initiative.

“Ahem!” The handsome young Westerner coughed, then felt embarrassed. “It’s nothing, it’s alright, it’s not a big deal!”

Si Huang nodded gently at him.

This made him blush.

This scene became a little amusement for the others, and it spread quickly, eliciting laughter from the audience.

“Si Huang, there’s one last scene left, how’s the casting going?” Louis walked up to Si Huang and asked.

Si Huang considered for a moment and then spoke her mind, “I want to act according to my own understanding.”

“What do you mean?” Louis asked in surprise.

Si Huang said, “According to the information given by Metis, the last scene requires me to express selfless and unwavering love.”

Louis also knew about the supporting information given to Si Huang, “That’s roughly it.”

Si Huang shook her head, “I think we can change the way we act.”

This time, Louis understood her meaning. Looking at the determined look in her eyes, he laughed. “Now you are the devil, and the devil is you. Act boldly according to your own ideas. If it doesn’t feel right, you’ll just waste a few rolls.” He then winked mischievously and glanced at the surrounding staff. “You’re too good. I think they’d love to see you get frustrated sometimes.”

Si Huang smiled back, a faint smile with a restrained confidence. “There are always people who want to see me make a fool of myself, but none have succeeded.”

After the two reached an agreement, the set was almost finished, and someone called Si Huang over.

The final scene required Si Huang to stand in front of a rocky cliff, with staff using prop chains to bind her body, imprisoning her.

The set looked simple now, but after post-production, it would become a bottomless abyss, endless darkness, where the passage of time was imperceptible.

It was damp, cold, dark, and lonely, seemingly without end, both in time and space.

The demon god, sealed and imprisoned here, awoke from his slumber with the death of his avatar.

He seemed to be having a rare, sweet dream; and a faint smile played on his cold lips as he slowly opened his eyes.

These were captivating demonic eyes, gathering the darkness and gloom of the world, yet revealing a vibrant green, concentrated in the deepest recesses of darkness.

“Ha…” A breath escaped his lips.

Then, the awakened demon god raised his eyes, gazing upwards.

The onlookers felt as if they were drawn into a fantasy. The demon god, imprisoned in the abyss, looked up and saw only endless darkness, yet his gaze seemed to see through everything. What lay beyond? The sky? Or light? No one knew; only the confident smile on his face was clear.

Yes, confident!

There was no sorrow, no loss, no resentment.

From beginning to end, this demon god had never displayed the complex emotions of a human.

People speculated that he might be grieving the loss of his doppelganger, driven mad by the loneliness of being trapped in an endless seal again, or missing the little angel…

What they felt was still his unwavering strength and fearlessness, a strength that transcended human emotions.

Loneliness? Freedom? Love? He wouldn’t think about things that hadn’t happened yet, nor would he ponder such things. He would only do what he wanted to do, acting recklessly and entirely according to his whims— the nature of a demon.

While everyone was still in shock, Louis had excitedly and earnestly captured this moment from every angle.

Even after filming ended, many people hadn’t recovered from the final scene and couldn’t help but discuss it with those around them.

“Is this really the end? I feel like this is just the beginning!?”

“Yeah, I feel the same way! What will happen next? What will the demon do? Will he come out of the abyss and go find the angel again?”

“I feel like the demon schemed against the angel, using love to make the angel fall, so she can come to the abyss to help him break the seal and save him!”

“You’re so mean! The demon wouldn’t be that bad! He really fell in love with the angel!”

“You said he’s a demon, if the demon isn’t bad, then is the angel bad?”

“Aaaaaah! God! I want to know what happens next, where’s the screenwriter? Tell me if there’s a sequel!?”

The reactions of the staff alone were enough to show the success of the filming.

After everyone packed up, they didn’t rush back to the Metis Company. Instead, Ace treated them to a delicious tour of the Forbidden City.

This Forbidden City wasn’t just a place rented out for filming; it was also a famous tourist spot and leisure area. There was even a hotel inside, decorated in the style of the Forbidden City, for people to enjoy.

The staff were clearly used to Ace’s generosity; this kind of thing had probably happened many times before. As long as she was happy or satisfied, she could provide perks for the entire crew.

Si Huang, having finished her work, originally wanted to go home and rest, but seeing everyone’s high spirits, she didn’t want to spoil the mood by leaving first, especially after James mentioned that Arthur’s filming wasn’t over yet.

She was quite interested in Arthur’s filming.

After about half an hour of makeup removal, the demon god that had left such a deep impression on everyone disappeared, and what reappeared before them was once again the handsome young poplar.

Without any makeup, her stunningly beautiful face was undeniably attractive, but ultimately too clean, making these Westerners think she was too young.

Previously, this youthful appearance was a source of their teasing and speculation; now, it had become a point of praise for everyone.

“Let’s go see Arthur,” Si Huang said as she stepped out of the room, seeing Ace standing outside, also having removed her makeup.

What he said was exactly what she wanted.

Arthur’s filming location wasn’t far from their chosen spot, taking about ten minutes to walk there, even with the winding path. If there had been a direct route, it would have been only four or five minutes.

It was late afternoon, and half the sky was ablaze with red clouds, the western clouds turning a golden-red, adding to the ancient and solemn beauty of the Forbidden City complex.

Si Huang soon spotted the filming crew from Lianmei Company.

However, no matter how many people from Lianmei were there, anyone who noticed was undoubtedly filming a scene with a young man exuding raw hormones.

He had one arm around a girl who looked about fourteen or fifteen, while his other hand was made up with special effects, sharp fingertips dripping blood.

The setting sun cast a golden-red glow on half of his flawless face, yet it conveyed no warmth, making his pale complexion appear even colder.

His cold, emotionless face and expression were utterly heartless, yet the way he gently cradled the girl in his still-normal, pale hands revealed a tender care he held dear, creating a stark contrast.

The girl, however, seemed soulless, merely an empty doll.

Arthur, who was filming, seemed to sense the intruders. He raised his thick eyelashes, his captivating eyes like a sea of violets glistening with cold dew at night, sweeping over everyone with a hazy, icy gaze. Finally, his gaze lingered on Si Huang, and a deep emotion suddenly surfaced in his eyes, a profound affection seemingly born of flesh and blood, surging forth like a rising tide, giving no one a chance to defend themselves or resist.

Si Huang felt a sharp pain in her heart, as if struck by a heavy object, leaving a dull, unforgettable mark.

“You will gain eternal life,” the ancient, elegant voice murmured, like a poem being sung.

Arthur lowered his head, his gaze now half-hidden beneath his drooping eyelids, fixed on the girl in his arms.

He opened his lips, revealing sharp, white canines. Far from making him look terrifying, this added an inexplicable charm, a wild danger emanating from his elegance, stimulating people’s rationality. Even knowing he was extremely dangerous, even knowing he was not human, they would still be drawn to him like moths to a flame, wanting only a kiss, a gentle gaze, or even a cold, disdainful look—just to have him see them!

Si Huang narrowed her eyes, unable to assess her own performance or Arthur’s.

In terms of sheer allure, she was certain Arthur had won.

This young man exuded a deadly sensuality from the inside out. His seemingly sunny exterior was strangely suggestive, making him seem more suited to darkness than sunlight—a contrast so striking yet harmonious, a charm that could drive one mad.

“What’s so interesting?” Qin Fan’s deep voice sounded in her ear. “Your eyes are about to pop out.”

Si Huang turned to look at him; the man didn’t need to hide it—his cold, brooding expression was enough to tell he was in a bad mood.

“He’s a formidable opponent,” Si Huang frankly stated. “The most threatening opponent I’ve ever faced.”

“You’re better than him,” Qin Fan replied without hesitation.

The man spoke calmly, yet his words carried a certain power, conveying sincerity and honesty—a conviction that if he said it, it must be true, without any flattery.

Si Huang laughed.

Hearing their conversation, Ace chimed in, “I also think you’re better than him. That guy’s no different from a vampire, just playing himself. You’re the one with real strength!” An ordinary person hearing this would likely think Ace was deliberately insulting Arthur, without considering anything more.

Si Huang and Qin Fan exchanged a glance, both sensing something amiss— Ace probably knew Arthur’s true identity, and Arthur probably knew Ace too?

Perhaps this was the reason for their irreconcilable differences.

“Let’s go,” Ace said, uninterested in staying any longer. “They’ve finished filming.”

Si Huang noticed that after saying this, Ace didn’t rush off but instead looked at her. A moment’s thought revealed that the girl was seeking his permission. He smiled and nodded, “Okay.”

Just like when they arrived, they left without a word, which had already aroused the curiosity of the staff at Lianmei.

“That Asian guy next to Ace is her partner this time!”

“He wants to be Arthur’s opponent? He’s got guts!”

“Don’t say that. I went with Arthur to the other side before, and they’re very skilled!”

….

“Arthur,” Maggie, the female lead in Arthur’s filming, leaned closer to him. Hearing the others’ whispers, she said to Arthur, who seemed lost in thought, “Are you watching Ace and the others? That Z-country bug can’t possibly be your match!”

Arthur withdrew his foot and looked down at the girl beside him.

Maggie looked up at him in surprise.

“You have no right to judge him.”

“What?” Maggie thought she had misheard, her eyes widening in astonishment.

A hand landed on her cheek, casually lifting her chin, like teasing a pet.

Just that made Maggie so happy she couldn’t help but smile, staring at Arthur with passionate eyes. But then she heard his sexy, blood-red lips utter cruel words.

“Because you’re not even worth a single hair on his head.”

If she hadn’t heard it so clearly, Maggie wouldn’t have believed that such a sweet, love-speaking tone could utter such insulting words.

“Are you going to cry?”

Maggie bit her lip and shook her head.

“Sweetie, go find a quiet place where no one’s around.” Arthur said and turned away.

Maggie watched his retreating figure, watched him take off his gloves and throw them into a nearby trash can, her eyes still filled with infatuation.
