The second class ended at noon. Luo Zhan was stopped by one of his juniors who was asking him questions about his major courses. So he didn’t finish his class until most people had left.

When the junior student left with his face flushed with excitement, the only people left in the classroom were Luo Zhan, Tang Ran who was waiting for him, and the young male teacher who had not yet left the podium.

Luo Zhan and Tang Ran walked down the stairs in the classroom. When passing the podium, Luo Zhan stopped and greeted the male teacher behind the desk: “Teacher Qian.”

“Luo Zhan, it’s not good for you to pester the school bully in our department like this.” The male teacher turned off the multimedia and joked.

“School bully?” Luo Zhan turned around and looked at Tang Ran.

“Well, in this midterm exam, your girlfriend is the only one who got full marks in both advanced mathematics and physics.”

Luo Zhan couldn’t help but laugh: “Really? Why didn’t you tell me?”

Tang Ran was a little embarrassed but still answered seriously: “It’s just a midterm exam.”

The male teacher joked, “If others hear you say this, they will be so angry that they will die.”

Tang Ran’s face felt slightly hot.

The three of them walked out side by side, chatting.

Before they parted at the bottom of the teaching building, the male teacher hesitated for a moment, and then said to Luo Zhan meaningfully, “It’s common to attend classes for free in college, but every Friday, there are too many people in the automation major, whether it’s the big class in the department or the small class within the major. Although this is not your fault, it will inevitably affect you if we want to solve it.”

Luo Zhan looked up: “Did I disturb Teacher Qian’s class?”

“I’m fine,” the male teacher laughed, “but it’s inevitable that other students will have opinions.”

Luo Zhan’s eyes moved slightly.

After a moment, he nodded: “I understand, thank you Teacher Qian for reminding me.”

“Well, that’s it. I’m going to the Academic Affairs Office to return the key. You guys go first.”

“Goodbye, teacher.”

Tang Ran didn’t take this too seriously until that night, when the last evening class was over and the four girls in Class 716 returned to their dormitories.

While they were chatting, their cell phones vibrated at the same time.

Xu Xuanqing was the closest, so she picked up her phone and took a look: “It’s a message from the class group. Let me see what it said… Hmm?”

“What’s wrong?” asked the other two people in the dormitory.

Tang Ran also looked up curiously.

Then Xu Xuanqing struggled for a few seconds with a complicated expression, and then she suppressed her laughter and said, “The department has issued the latest regulations for our automatic control major.”

“Ah? Just for our major?”

“Right.”

“What’s the new rule?”

“From today onwards, it is strictly forbidden to take classes in the Automation major for free.”

“……puff.”

“Hahahahahahaha…”

Xu Xuanqing held back her laughter for several seconds but finally burst out laughing. She gave a thumbs up to Tang Ran who was stunned in the bunk next to her: “Awesome, sister. Your boyfriend will be the man who changed the school rules in the future – you two will definitely go down in the history of our automation control major at K University, hahahaha!”

“…”

A new Friday.

The four people from dormitory 716 were all present, and the number of people in the classroom was slightly less than usual. And under the new rules, Luo Zhan did not show up.

Another Friday, Luo Zhan still didn’t show up…

After this situation continued for a month, the number of students attending automation classes every Friday returned to normal, and often only half of the seats in the classroom were full.

“Alas, it’s really less fun without Senior Luo Zhan.” Xu Xuanqing sighed.

“That’s right,” another girl in 716 complained, “Originally the teacher never took the roll on Fridays, so we could skip classes without any worries – but now it’s different.”

Xu Xuanqing was amused: “You only know how to skip classes! Do you still want the attendance score?”

“I won’t run away anymore. If Senior Luo Zhan doesn’t come to accompany Xiao Ran to class, how can I dare to skip class?”

“By the way, Xiao Ran, Senior Luo Zhan is really not coming anymore?”

Tang Ran, who was called, pulled her consciousness back from the textbook of Advanced Mathematics Volume 2 that she had already started to study. After thinking for two seconds, Tang Ran nodded uncertainly: “It should be, right?”

“Hmm? What do you mean by ‘should be’?”

Tang Ran: “I can’t say for sure.”

Xu Xuanqing leaned over and said, “How dare he come here like this? He’s really going against the department.”

“Luo Luo won’t take the initiative to cause trouble.” Tang Ran paused, eyes slightly curved, “But his personality is not like someone who will be easily swayed by rules.”

“What do you mean? Why didn’t I understand? Did you two understand?”

“Didn’t.”

Tang Ran smiled helplessly and explained, “He should be able to find a loophole…but I can’t think of how.”

“But this rule is very strict. Is there any loophole to exploit?”

“The bell rang.”

“Class is in session, we’ll talk after class… Hey, why hasn’t Teacher Qian come today?” Xu Xuanqing reacted a little slowly and looked at the empty podium in confusion.

When the students in the classroom were at a loss, the front door was pushed open and a slender figure walked in lazily.

As the familiar person walked up to the podium, the classroom fell into a dead silence.

“Teacher Qian has gone to Province X to attend an academic seminar these two weeks. I’m his temporary teaching assistant this semester and will be covering two of his classes… um, I almost forgot.”

The man put down the book and raised his eyes.

“Let me introduce myself. My name is Luo Zhan. I have a master’s degree in dual control and pattern recognition. I am currently a doctoral student in artificial intelligence. I hope you will give me your guidance in the coming semester.”

In the dead silence of the classroom, applause broke out after a while. It started with scattered applause, and then some boys in the department even started to laugh and slap their desks.

In the midst of this noise, Xu Xuanqing came back to her senses from the shock and turned around to give Tang Ran a thumbs up:

“Your man is still the sexiest.”

Tang Ran: “…”

“However, the teaching assistants are all our own, so we should be very happy with advanced mathematics this semester, right?”

“That makes sense.”

However, after one class, students majoring in automation collectively shed lasagna tears.

“Damn, let this devil go! Give our gentle, kind, and gentle teacher Qian back to us, ah ah ah ah!”

On the podium, Assistant Professor Luo smiled kindly:

“It’s too late.”
