3. Automation majors are strictly prohibited from taking classes for free
Compared to the old students who had become experienced, the freshmen of each class were always the most well-behaved in the beginning – freed from the busy and strictly managed high school life, it always took time for the freshmen to adapt to the freedom and open environment of university.
Once they understood the “rules of survival” on a university campus, they would gradually become restless and reveal their true nature.
The decreasing attendance rate of freshmen as school started each year was the most obvious proof of this.
This happened every year, and teachers in all departments had become accustomed to this. When the new semester was halfway through, they would begin to take various measures to strictly enforce the attendance system…
But this year’s Automation Department was an exception.
The second class at 9:30 am on Friday was also the regular class time for the Automation Department’s weekly “Advanced Mathematics” course.
The four girls in dormitory 716 split into two groups. Tang Ran and Xu Xuanqing got up first, while the other two were still lying in bed. As the vanguard, they came to the classroom in advance to “reserve seats”.
As soon as she arrived at the classroom door, Xu Xuanqing was shocked by the scene inside.
After several seconds, Xu Xuanqing turned her head stiffly and looked at Tang Ran: “Didn’t we come 15 minutes early?”
“Um.”
“Is the crowded scene in there just my illusion?”
“Probably not.”
“Didn’t the senior say that it would be hard to fill even half the classroom after the midterm exam? Then what’s going on with our class—is everyone so motivated and eager to learn?” Xu Xuanqing took a deep breath, and just as she was about to continue venting her shock at the moment, she suddenly thought of something.
There was silence at the classroom door for two seconds. Then Xu Xuanqing slowly and suspiciously cast her eyes on Tang Ran: “Today is… Friday?”
“Um.”
“Will Senior Luo Zhan come to take classes with you again today?”
“Yeah.” Tang Ran’s response this time was obviously much lighter than before.
The emotions here could be summed up in one word: guilty conscience.
Xu Xuanqing gritted her teeth: “I should have remembered it! The reason why reserving seats before class last Friday was hell mode because of him!”
Tang Ran felt guilty and remained silent.
Xu Xuanqing didn’t dare to delay any longer, and pulled Tang Ran in, finally finding two separate group of seats. After reserving five seats with her books, she breathed a sigh of relief and pulled Tang Ran to sit down.
“Xiao Ran, can we discuss something?”
“Um?”
“Talk to your boyfriend who has a bit of extra personal charm and ask him to stop coming to you for classes every Friday – although this may not be a big deal for other couples, you two are different after all!”
As Xu Xuanqing spoke, she raised her head and looked forward: “Look at this scene. He made such a fuss just to accompany his girlfriend to class. Do you think he has any guilty conscience?”
Tang Ran opened her mouth.
“I’m sorry, there’s no such thing as a conscience.” A half-smiling voice lazily stopped Tang Ran and sounded behind Xu Xuanqing first.
Xu Xuanqing choked.
After two or three seconds, she turned her head away awkwardly and sneered, “Hello, senior.”
“Just calling senior is not very good.” Luo Zhan raised his chin, “Just give me back my seat next to our little girl, and I’ll be fine.”
Xu Xuanqing: “…”
Xu Xuanqing looked at Tang Ran with grievance, stood up with her book in her arms, and consciously moved to the three seats she had occupied in the row behind.
Luo Zhan sat down beside Tang Ran with a clear conscience. After adjusting his position, he didn’t care about his image as a well-known senior in the school at all and leaned on the shoulder of the girl next to him.
Tang Ran paused and turned her head. Her cheek was slightly tickled by the furry head with a faint aromatherapy scent next to her: “Luo Luo?”
“Um……”
The man made a low, hoarse response from his nose.
Tang Ran lowered her voice: “Didn’t you get enough rest yesterday?”
“I slept in the lab… the couch was too short, so I bent over for half the night.”
“Why don’t you go home and rest?”
“There was an algorithm optimization that had not been completed. It could not be delayed until today.”
“Why not…”
Before Tang Ran finished speaking, Luo Zhan yawned and stood up: “If I delay it until today, won’t I be unable to accompany our Ran Ran to class?”
Tang Ran turned around and saw the faint bruises under Luo Zhan’s eyelids. She couldn’t help but frown distressedly: “You are so busy in the laboratory, you don’t have to take time out to accompany me every Friday and weekend.”
“That won’t do.” Luo Zhan leaned on the table with one hand, then he tilted his head and looked at the girl lazily. Although his eyes were a little tired and lazy, they were soft and smiling. “I don’t want to hear rumors that we broke up again. And Tan Yunchang said that I am so busy that I can only see you two or three days a week – I should thank you for not ignoring me. It really can’t be any less.”
Hearing Luo Zhan say this, Tang Ran pursed her lips and said nothing more.
Not long after, the advanced mathematics teacher came in with the textbook and lesson plan. After he went up to the podium, he was not surprised to see the bustling scene in the classroom.
The male teacher looked around the classroom and easily found the location of the “culprit”. He smiled helplessly: “If you continue like this, I should ask the school to increase my salary. Otherwise, for the same salary, why do other teachers only teach half of the department, but I have to teach students from two departments?”
The students laughed loudly.
In the corner where all eyes were fixed, a handsome and lazy young man yawned nonchalantly, and the little girl next to him was so embarrassed that she almost wanted to find a hole to crawl into.
Sitting in the row behind them, Xu Xuanqing shook her head and whispered to her two roommates: “This is the stark contrast between how thick-skinned you are and what you should be like as a human being.”
The man in front of them leaned lazily against the back of his chair: “Senior is not deaf yet. You will get into trouble if you talk nonsense, junior.”
Xu Xuanqing shrank back, and after exchanging a glance with the other two, she cautiously smiled and said, “We should be considered Xiao Ran’s family, right? It’s just a joke, just a joke.”
“Her family?” Luo Zhan raised his lips and glanced at the little girl beside him who was still blushing. “Do they count?”
Faced with Xu Xuanqing’s pleading gaze, Tang Ran could only nod helplessly.
Seeing that the girl’s ears were almost red, Luo Zhan couldn’t suppress his desire to tease her. He leaned over and said in a low and hoarse voice: “Nodding doesn’t count, little girl, I have to hear it.”
“…”
Tang Ran looked at Luo Zhan with a rare look of annoyance.
Luo Zhan looked back at her with a half-smile.
After staring at each other for a few seconds, Tang Ran couldn’t stand it anymore and lowered her head helplessly, saying vaguely: “…Forget it.”
“What is that?”
The little girl’s face was almost red, and she said seriously: “Luo Luo, you can’t push your luck further.”
Luo Zhan laughed: “Since our Ran Ran said so – OK, forget it. Then when will the girl’s family marry her off?”
Xu Xuanqing, who had just offended Luo Zhan, had a strong desire to survive. So she “sold” Tang Ran without hesitation: “Anytime! Anywhere! Whatever you want!”
Tang Ran: “……!”
Luo Zhan smiled dumbly: “Then I won’t be polite?”
Tang Ran held her breath and stopped talking.
Luo Zhan sat beside her, holding up his face and smiling: “Our little girl is still so thin-skinned, what will we do in the future?”
Tang Ran buried her head in reading, pretending to be deaf and dumb.
But her ears, which were coated with a layer of red, still betrayed her.
