Christmas and New Year 2025 Update…. Happy bonus update, you guys….

Although the Cretaceous City of Bethlehem appeared to be a pure white color emitting holy light from the outside, the city was not completely white inside, so Luo Mi did not have to worry about suffering from diseases like snow blindness.

After the parade, Anos did not rest but took Luo Mi and Reinhardt to the oldest and largest existing church in the entire Vatican: St. Paul’s Basilica.

This church was located just below the pure white tower that reached the sky. The overall design was exquisite Gothic, with a sharp tip pointing straight to the sky. There were exquisite angel sculptures all over the building, and it even looked like a church built with sculptures.

In front of the main entrance of the church, there stood a huge pure white cross, with angels above the cross and people below.

In the middle of the cross, a line of words was carved in sacred text:

——”The world is dark, and I am the only light.”

Anos introduced: “Legend has it that this is the first words spoken by God when he descended upon the earth when the world was still in darkness.”

Luo Mi had only one question when he heard this legend: According to the Bible, God had not yet created angels and humans at that time, so who recorded God’s first words? It couldn’t be that God himself wrote a biographical quotations book like “My Life”, right?

Unfortunately, he had no time to ask questions and followed Anos into the cathedral to meet the Pope.

….

Among the various titles of the Vatican, not everyone could use the prefix “Saint”.

Only those who had made great contributions to God or the Church and had been canonized as “saints” could have the title of “saint” in front of their names. In the history of the Church so far, most saints were canonized posthumously and did not enjoy this honor during their lifetime.

Only the highest authority leader of the Holy See throughout the ages, the Pope who wore the triple crown, could enjoy this title.

St. Gregory III, now 76 years old, was the current Pope.

When Luo Mi saw St. Gregory III, it was difficult for him to associate the kind old man with white hair and beard with the word Pope.

The Pope wore a neat and tidy pure white papal robe and a gold-embroidered scapular, but he did not wear a triple crown or hold a papal scepter. He had a kind face and a gentle smile and gave Anos a strong hug: “May God bless you. Anos, welcome back.”

Anos smiled: “May the gods bless you.”

Saint Gregory III was just like an ordinary old man. He smiled and held Anos’ hand, looking very pleased: “I have heard the report. You did a good job this time. I can also feel that the entire light domain barrier in the Holy City has become more stable.”

Anos smiled modestly: “It’s all God’s guidance.”

“In addition, you found three ‘chosen ones’…” St. Gregory III looked at Luo Mi standing behind Anos, and his smile faded a little. “Is this the chosen demon?”

When being looked at by the Pope, Luo Mi immediately felt that he had nowhere to hide, as if all his inner thoughts were being exposed bit by bit by this kind old man.

He shouted urgently in his heart: “System system, is it activated!”

[I activated the mental shield before entering the church.]

Luo Mi breathed a sigh of relief: This was a system function that he had exchanged for 5 points specifically to deal with the Pope!

The warehouse grid only cost 1 point, but this shield cost 5 points!

Fortunately, although it was expensive, it was quite effective and could block most mental attacks and snooping. The key was that it was valid for life after one redemption, which meant that you only needed to charge it for a period of time after each use.

St. Gregory III looked deeply at the succubus who looked like a teenager of only sixteen or seventeen years old. A kind smile then appeared in his lead-gray eyes. He made a sign of the cross on his chest and sighed softly: “I still cannot understand why God would set his sights on a demon.”

Anos stood there with a calm expression.

His Holiness the Pope waved his hand and continued with a smile, “But you are closer to God. Perhaps this is God’s true will.”

Anos smiled as expected: “Your Majesty’s piety moves me.”

St. Gregory III laughed, then his expression became more serious: “I hope to have a good talk with you about the matter of the Pietists and Count Sheen.”

Anos’ smile faded and he nodded seriously: “I also want to have a good talk with Your Majesty.”

Reinhardt pulled Luo Mi with a tactful look and led Luo Mi out of the main hall of St. Paul’s Cathedral.

….

After leaving the hall, Luo Mi immediately let out a sigh of relief: “It’s too depressing.”

Reinhardt tucked his helmet under his arm. “Let me tell you, although Your Majesty looks friendly, he will be extremely oppressive in the cathedral.”

Luo Mi looked around and found that there were upright silver knights nearby: “Where are we going now?”

“His Highness has arranged accommodation for you.”

Luo Mi said warily: “I want to live with Anos.”

“Together.” Reinhardt rolled his eyes. “Let’s go.”
