As the Son of God, Anos’ carriage was similar to the one that Luo Mi and the others were riding in, which could only accommodate three or four people. There were no gorgeous decorations in the carriage. It looked ordinary except for some cross ornaments.

Anos was still wearing the neat and clean priest’s uniform. He nodded to Luke and pushed a parchment book on the small table over to him: “Thank you for your hard work. Take this Bible to John and teach him to identify the sacred text.”

Luke was surprised: “Holy text? Me teaching him?”

Anos nodded: “The ‘Chosen Ones’ are people chosen by God to be screened and judged. It is natural for them to learn the words left by God.”

Luke smiled awkwardly, “No, I mean… I’m not particularly good at it myself. And John can’t even spell in ordinary language, so isn’t it a bit too difficult to learn the sacred text?”

Anos seemed a little surprised and tilted his head to think for a moment: “Let’s teach him the basic spelling rules first. The earlier he starts learning the sacred text, the easier it will be to learn later.”

Luke knew that His Royal Highness the Son of God had been learning all kinds of profound knowledge under the guidance of the Holy See since he could remember, so he didn’t dare to say more and just took the parchment Bible.

When Luo Mi heard them talking about the “text left by God”, he curiously leaned over to take a look and saw the Chinese words “Bible” on the cover of the parchment book.

Luo Mi’s mouth twitched, and he asked the system in his heart: “So the ‘holy text’ of this world is Chinese?”

[Maybe because the author of this novel is Chinese.]

“Then he can just invent a new language. Readers won’t ask him to compile a new set of writing rules and grammar!” After complaining, Luo Mi felt that this was actually good news. “Doesn’t that mean that I can directly understand the holy texts and have become a highly educated person in the Vatican?”

If he hadn’t been transformed into a succubus, and claimed to have received some revelation, he would have gone straight to the top of the Church! At that time, it would have been easy to get close to the Son of God.

The system didn’t dare to speak and pretended not to understand Luo Mi’s meaning.

Anos’s blue eyes turned to Luo Mi again.

Compared to the dark and blurry night, Anos’s beautiful face was clearer during the day. His light golden hair sparkled in the sunlight coming in from the car window. His eyes were calm and deep, like the farthest sky, revealing a gentle and unquestionable sense of distance.

Luo Mi felt a vague sense of shock again, knowing that Anos had probably opened the “Eye of Confession” that could identify lies.

Anos’ lips curled up slightly: “Don’t be nervous, I just want to ask you a few things.”

Luo Mi sat as obediently as a little quail.

“The first thing is that you said before that you were raised by humans… Where are the people who raised you now?”

Luo Mi knew that this was probably a background check and showed a sad expression: “They are not in this world now.”

Anos showed a hint of apology and asked the next question: “You said you had heard a revelation from God. What was the content of the revelation?”

Luo Mi thought about his words and said sincerely: “That voice told me to go find you, saying that my future and the answers I seek are with you.”

Anos was slightly startled: “Me?”

Luo Mi nodded vigorously to prove his honesty from the bottom of his heart.

Anos looked at Luo Mi deeply, nodded, and gently stroked the cross hanging on his chest with his index finger. After a moment, he said, “Then I have a new question – you looked a little surprised when you saw the Bible just now. Why is that?”

Luo Mi didn’t expect that the Son of God had noticed his surprise when he saw the Chinese text, and he secretly admired Anos’s attentiveness.

He said honestly, “I found that I understand the ‘holy text’ you are talking about.”

Luke, who was sitting nearby waiting, blurted out in disbelief: “How is this possible?”

Anos did not seem surprised. He just stared at Luo Mi calmly with his blue eyes and asked, “Do you understand the sacred text?”

This time he spoke in Chinese.

Anos had a very nice voice. When he spoke Chinese, his pronunciation was clear and his speech speed was slow, which made him sound particularly gentle.

Luo Mi couldn’t help rubbing his ears and answered in Chinese: “I understand.”

“How did you learn it?”

Luo Mi thought for a second: “Maybe I already knew it when I came to this world.”

Anos continued to stare at Luo Mi without blinking and nodded after a long while: “I understand. That’s all I wanted to ask – and then I have an extra question for you… Do you plan to go to the Holy City with John, or with me?”

Luo Mi blinked: “Your Highness the Holy Son is not going to the Holy City?”

“I have other things to do later.” Anos replied, “Since God’s revelation requires you to find me, I want to hear your plans.”

Of course Luo Mi made the choice without hesitation: “I will follow you.”

Anos was not surprised: “Okay. Then I will take you with me when I leave.”

….

After Luo Mi and Luke left the carriage, a person suddenly appeared out of nowhere in the carriage.

The man was wearing a bright red cardinal robe, his hair and beard were all white, and his hands were clasped together, holding a pure silver cross.

He looked at Anos, was silent for a moment, and then said, “Do you really want to take that demon with you?”

Anos nodded: “Since this is God’s arrangement, as God’s servant, I must follow it.”

“Or maybe it is the devil’s temptation.” The old cardinal shook his head in disapproval. “Don’t you think his appearance is too coincidental? I still think he should be handed over to the Inquisition.”

“If it is really a demon in disguise, it will definitely be exposed.” Anos raised his head calmly, with only pure piety in his blue eyes, “Everything is arranged by God, and all suffering is also a test from God.”

The cardinal looked at the Son of God who had already held a high position in the Church at such a young age and saw the determination in his eyes. He knew that he could not convince him, so he sighed deeply: “No matter what, I don’t believe that God would choose a demon as the ‘chosen one’. You must be careful.”

Anos rarely smiled: “Thank you. But I think God might do this. In the seven days of Genesis, God created the world and everything in it, including the devil and the demons. Although the demons were created by God as a punishment for people’s betrayal of their faith, God is always merciful. Perhaps God now wants to give the demons a chance to atone for their sins and enter paradise.”

The Son of God, who seldom spoke at length, suddenly became talkative when he mentioned doctrine and speculations about God’s will.

The cardinal’s pupils dilated a little, and he clenched the cross in his hand. He subconsciously muttered a few words before saying carefully: “If these words came from the mouth of an ordinary bishop, he would be labeled a heretic and sent to the Inquisition! You must never say such things again in the future!”

Anos smiled gently: “I understand, father.”
